Defending the Lesser Halloween Films | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:27:48

Halloween is a series that spans 12 films, novels, comics, and saucy, saucy fan fiction... so saucy.  But let's admit it, not all of the of them are good, right? In fact, some of them are pretty bad. Virtually no horror franchise is immune to weak installments, regardless how iconic. That is why Ade is acting as the public defender of sorts for the lesser Halloween films.  In this last installment of Talktober, we feature each of the branching and divergent timelines. Curse of Thorn? We got you covered. Headmistress Laurie Strode? We've got opinions.  But do not fret, we also touch on the tenets of the franchise that make them great too, including John Carpenter's formative works.  We discuss the performances of many of the Michael Myers actors: Nick Castle, Tony Moran, Dick Warlock, George P. Wilbur, Don Shanks, Chris Durand, Brad Loree, Tyler Mane, and James Jude Courtney. We also ponder how Rick Rosenthal could have directed both Halloween II and Resurrection. Yeah, explain that one.  We compare Rob Zombie's iteration of the Myers family to that of Blumhouse, but admittedly this episode was recorded before we had seen Halloween Kills.  Also, remember that last year we did an entire episode on Season of the Witch, which is like, totes gnarly.  If you ever have feedback or recommendations on future episodes,   please let us know at slasherspod@gmail.com.  What Makes a Good Horror Sequel? | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:02:38

How are you liking Talktober so far? Are you liking the more conversational style? Are you liking this more conversational style of episode description? Let us know. You know how to find us. You're smart. That's why you listen to us instead of the 10,000,000 other horror podcasts.  This week, Doug's topic is horror sequels, and what makes them great.  The gang talk about their favorites, spanning from Creep Show 2, to Child's Play, with basically every key franchise in between.  What sets apart Nightmare on Elm Street 2, to the other sequels, remakes, and reboots? How does Guillermo Del Toro take a quaint idea of vampire vampires and turn it into the best of the Blade franchise (so far, because there's hope with Mahershala Ali)? Why does Jake love Gremlins 2: The New Batch, but hate Evil Dead II? If you ever have feedback or recommendations on future episodes, please let us know at slasherspod@gmail.com.  Halloween Horror Nights | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:05:54

Happy Monday Goons and Happy Week 2 of Talktober here on Slashers Podcast.  This week we delve into Ade’s topic, her experience with Halloween Horror Nights 30 on her side of the country, Orlando, Florida.  Luckily, Doug went to HHN here in Hollywood, so the two are able to discuss the pros and cons of each park and determine which experience has more to offer. Topics for HHN 30 include haunted houses, scare zones, food, drinks and shows. Be sure to listen in and find out why this is one of Ade’s yearly ventures and perhaps maybe even worth taking a trip to the Sunshine State in the fall. We also discuss video games, Goldeneye making the list, along with Jake’s comparing Doug and Ade’s neighborhoods to both Manhunt and Grand Theft Auto, respectively. We even talk about what it would be like to have a Troma haunted house, fat guy being eaten by the escalator and all (not to be confused with Mall Rats!) Finally, we discuss what we would consider the ultimate haunted maze attraction -- little hint, it involves Doug’s favorite Karens. Hopefully you’ve enjoyed our talking points thus far.  If you would like to hear more or want us to discuss something of YOUR choice, please be sure to visit our patreon and let us know how you feel.  We are ready to work for you, and not like in an only fans way, but at this point, we just may. #metadatawhoreforlife If you ever have feedback or recommendations on future episodes,   please let us know at slasherspod@gmail.com.  Reboots vs. Remakes feat. an interview w/ Director, Samhel | File Type: audio/x-m4a | Duration: 01:29:06

Welcome to Talktober! That's right, and entire month of talking... on a podcast... wait wait wait, this theme kinda makes sense. For spooky season, we are breaking from the tradition of nearly every episode of this show, where talk about a singular film or franchise, instead opting to a topic presented by each host. If you like this format, please let us know. If not, please let us know. This week's topic is hosted by Jake, who asks, "which are better, reboots or remakes?" Now, when we write these episode descriptions, it's kinda tough. Imagine a book report, but instead of a teacher, you are writing it for Skynet from Terminator (i.e., the Google algorithm). Given the topic this week, we literally touched on over 50 films, and now we are left trying to include mention of them in this description, but crafted in a way that is not a generic list. Let's see if this works... The discussion defends the Friday the 13th (2009) reboot, but trashes the Nightmare on Elm St. remake. We kinda defend the Rob Zombie Halloween reboot and distinguish it from a remake. We take a hefty dump on the Let the Right One In remake. The 13 Ghosts reboot kicks ass. The Carrie remake does not. The Blob can kinda be a reboot or a remake; find out which we call it. The Hills Have Eyes has a remake, or is it a reboot? The Thing gets arguably the most successful reboot ever, but Psycho may have the worst remake. The Fly has a wicked reboot. The Omen has a dorky remake. The Child’s Play reboot is amazing, shut up. The Grudge remake is butts. The Evil Dead (2013) reboot rules your behind. The Ring remake is caca. Evil Dead II is a reboot, right?  My Bloody Valentine has a remake and it's not worth watching. Piranha 3D is a great way to revitalize a franchise. Willard is a rat-infested remake. Dawn of the Dead is a bombastic reboot, whereas both Night of the Living Dead remakes from 1990 & 3D 2006 are alright. I am Legend and Omega Man are different and thusly we have a reboot.  No one gives Manhunter credit, but its remake, Red Dragon, is a masterclass. The Crazies is kinda bleh until its reboot. Quarantine is a lesser remake of Rec.  Invasion of the Body Snatchers is a super fun, vibrant reboot. Amityville Horror... sigh... is fine, but the sequels need to shut up. House of Wax/ House of Wax/ Tourist Trap are all movies. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre reboot/ remake argument could go round and round like leatherface's chain.  Black Christmas has shitty remakes that pretend to be reboots. Suspiria is great in both forms. Pet Sematary has a reboot.  And then we talk about a bunch of other flicks, so just like... download this episode and let us word vomit inside of your noggin, bruh.  Doug also interviews extreme videographer and director, Samhel. Find trailers for his films and links to buy them here: https://vimeo.com/user90082436 This week's "Hidden Track" is Runaway by Mercury Rising. These gents have a show coming up on Friday at Dublin Castle in London, what what. Try and make it, if you're cool. If not, also try and make it so you can learn how to become cool.  Is Student Bodies (1981) the Naked Gun of Horror? | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:06:47

The last week of Hack to School is upon us, and the class is body shop... as in... Student Bodies shop. Boom. We truly save the best punny title for last. This week we ponder, Is Student Bodies the Naked Gun of Horror?  Never seen it? Well, as of the time of this recording, it was free on Pluto TV... even if Pluto TV is the most annoying free streaming app since the times of a town crier yelling nonsense with a clangy bell.  The film was written and directed by Mickey Rose with contributions from Michael Ritchie as "Allen Smithee." Rose was an early contributor of Woody Allen. A key consideration in this film is its history and its contemporaries. We create a timeline of horror form the 60's to the time of the film's release, so show what the filmmakers had to rely upon, then the films that came out the same year to show its competition.  I'll just copy and post some of those titles  for the metadata here:  1960- Peeping Tom, Psycho; 1963- Blood Feast; 1971- A Bay of Blood; 1972- The Last House on the Left; 1974- Black Christmas, Texas Chainsaw; 1976- The Town that Dreaded Sundown, Alice, Sweet Alice; 1977- The Hills Have Eyes, Martin; 1978- Halloween, The Toolbox Murders, I Spit on Your Grave; 1979- The Driller Killer, When a Stranger Calls, Microwave Massacre, Tourist Trap; and 1980- New Year’s Evil, Christmas Evil, fade to Black, Friday the 13th, Mother’s Day, Prom Night, Terror Train, Motel Hell.  Idle Hands (1999) & Interview w/ Jonathan Doe (Cinema's Underbelly) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:42:52

Hack to School month continues with Idle Hands from our hosts' awkward adolescence, and yours too (probably).  The film was directed by Rodman Flender, who had a tremendous amount of restraint in taking the chance to reshoot the entire ending to ensure that it was tonally accurate to the remainder of the film.  Idle Hands was written by Terri Hughes and Ron Milbauer. The team started with Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and have gone on to write and produce tons of content.  We talk about all of the uhm... influences? that the film relied on, perhaps too heavily in some ways, including most famously An American Werewolf in London. *Cough* Seth Green is basically just Jack, but also really good *cough* Devon Sawa plays Anton Tobias, who perhaps is named after Anton Levay... perhaps.  Seth Green plays Mick alongside Elden Henson as Pnub. The team embody stoners as well as Jay and Silent Bob and spookiness as well as Reaper, Deadbeat, and even Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency.  Vivica A. Fox is violent, beautiful hand-hunter, Debi LeCure. She aligns herself with Jack Noseworthy as Randy, the heavy metal heart throb, or whatever.  Doug also takes time to interview Jonathan Doe, aka Cinema's Underbelly, director of Barf Bunny. Check out his youtube here: https://www.youtube.com/c/CinemasUnderbelly and his podcast here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCEd-DJJpKSJxAMSEfh6rw1g/featured This week's "Hidden Track" is by Cherisher. Please please please take the time to check out their debut EP, Bloom Code, either on Bandcamp or Spotify. You may know their guitarist, Jordan Olds aka Gwarsenio Hall from Two Minutes to Late Night, a much more successful show than ours, but with the same level of engorged wiener energy.  Apostle (2018) Feat. Much Ado About Nerding | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:15:35

Happy Monday everyone, and happy #hacktoschool week 2!  This week, we are joined by our esteemed podcast buddies of Much Ado About Nerding, Joe and Sally, to discuss our history class lesson: Apostle (2018). Apostle is the Netflix original film written and directed by Gareth Evans, who you may know from The Raid, The Raid Part 2, and the Safe Haven segment from VHS 2.  If you’re a fan of any of these, you may be pleasantly, or not so pleasantly surprised by Apostle, as it steers clear from a lot of the thematic elements present in the aforementioned films.  However, Apostle is about a cult, so maybe there's a cult following. We could sure use the downloads, people. I'll drink whatever punch you've got if you make this show a success.  The film stars Dan Stevens, Michael Sheen, Lucy Boynton, Mark Lewis Jones and Bill Millner, and takes place in 1905.  The backdrop of the film is this dreary island and even features some supernatural elements, which may or may not surprise you, as Jake makes abundantly clear. But there’s a lot of fun gore, a lot of questions that don’t get answers, and finger crunching that we definitely recommend you watch, at the very least.  In addition, the four of us go on a few side rants that include Hugh Jackman, Age of Apocalypse, and a bit about a mirror that you won’t want to miss!  We had a lot of fun on this one, most of it not having much to do with the film nor the history lesson, but could also be classified as a debate if we really want to go there. If you want to check out Joe and Sally’s podcast, you can find them anywhere you listen to podcasts, as well as Instagram @much_ado_about_nerding and Patreon.com/muchadoaboutnerding; and nerdnation2020@gmail.com This week's "Hidden Track" is The Slain Six by Coltcrusher. https://coltcrusher.bandcamp.com/  If you ever have feedback or recommendations on future episodes, please let us know at slasherspod@gmail.com.  Cooties (2014) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:08:40

Not gonna lie, writing these episode descriptions feels like homework... So that's perfect for this month's theme: Hack to School! Grab your class schedule and meet up with your old buds to find out what they did on summer vacation.  We are starting off the month with Home Economics. The big takeaway, do not make chicken nuggets like they do in Cooties from 2014.  The film was directed by the team of Jonathan Milott & Cary Murnion, who did Bushwick and Becky. The film was written by Leigh Whannell of Insidious, Saw, and The Invisible Man fame, alongside Ian Brennan, who is like the guy  for the show Glee... apparently, I've still never watched it. Both play incredibly memorable, perhaps the best, characters in the film.  Produced by Elijah Wood's company, Spectrevision, which was originally called The Woodshed. There's a useless piece of trivia from my notes that I did not babble on air.  The film stars Wood, who almost blocked Rainn Wilson's "hobbit" line, but left it in as any good executive producer would. The film also features Allison Pitt, who was in Goon, and in the making of featurette for the film, references Sidney Crosby. Kinda cool, again forgot to mention it on air. Speaking of all these damned actors, we take a creative jaunt and recast the actors from Return of the Living Dead into this film. Find out who we picked and why.  Does anyone actually read these?  Can We Turn Family-Friendly Alien Films Into Horror Classics? | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:26:18

For our final week of 2001: A Space Augusty, we decided to take your childhood favorites and turn them on their head.  We’ve exposed the horrors of Critters, Mac and Me, Lilo and Stitch, Star Kid, The Iron Giant, and Spaced Invaders, to name a few. We discuss why aliens are so enamored  by children, why Invader Zim is the shit, why The Hunchback of Notre Dame is definitely not kid friendly, and what we really think of the Shape of Water.  This episode is definitely NSFW, so we  strongly suggest ear buds if you’re in public. We had a ton of fun with this one--it’s definitely a mish mash of insanity, but we wouldn’t have it any other way.  We hope you enjoy listening as much as we enjoyed being inappropriate lol. This episode also features an interview with Dr. Chris Impey, a super genius and genuinely nice guy. He is is a professor and deputy head of the department of astronomy at the University of Arizona, has written nearly 20 books, and is a pioneer of online education. http://chrisimpey-astronomy.com/  This week's "Hidden Track" is ROT by Hey Sunshine.  Species Franchise | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:23:32

Get ready to get raunchy this week with all three Goons as we discuss all four installments of Species for week 3 of 2001: A Space Augusty!  Find out where we rank them, what our favorite moments were, and sit in on a few tangents that involve Curb Your Enthusiasm, The Incredible Melting Man, Kissing Booth 3 and more. The first Species was released in 1995--which, for those of you who weren’t born or simply can’t remember--was a golden year for horror movie releases.  It was directed by Roger Donaldson, with voice effects by Frank Welker and stars Natasha Henstridge, Michelle Williams, Marg Helgenberger, Alfred Molina, Ben Kingsley, Michael Madsen, Forest Whitaker.  Be sure to listen in and find out why Alfred Molina’s, aka Doctor Octopus, sex scene was so special. Then we get into the magic and wonder that is Species 2.  The effects, the story, the Patrick Batemen lookalike, it’s a wonder it flopped as badly as it had.  There are some crazy, gory, fun effects with part 2, and while some of the premise is certainly cringey, it’s a great standup sequel that deserves more love. Finally, parts 3 and 4 are explored in all their crazy mess and splendor.  Join us as we talk shit, discuss schlock and more importantly, pay homage to some of the craziest alien-related flicks we’ve discussed all month. This week's "Hidden Track" is by Spellbook.  Starship Troopers (1997) feat. Producer C.H.A.D. | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:11:23

We are keeping this flying saucer spinning until the damn tractor beam falls off here for 2001: A Space Augusty. All month we are doing alien content and we hope you think it's... out of this world.  ...don't worry, the jokes on the episode are better than that.  This week, Producer C.H.A.D. swings by to talk about Paul Verhoeven's sometimes misinterpreted masterpiece, Starship Troopers. Verhoeven is obviously a master of satire, but it seems audiences mistook Johnny Rico as the American Jesus instead of a cautionary tale of the follies of fascism.  Writer, Ed Neumeier, previously worked with Verhoeven on Robocop and this reunion is nothing short of gory, tongue in cheek bliss. We talk all about how Neumeier allegedly was working on an idea called, "Bug Hunt at Outpost 9," which was retconned to be an adaptation of Robert Anson Heinlein's 1959 novella. The film stars Casper Van Dien as the citizen hopeful, Johnny Rico. Van Dien uses the "Freddy Got Fingered" defense in explaining why the film was a financial flop. Find out why his reasoning is rather sound in the episode.  Denise Richards plays Carmen Ibanez, who does not play any kind of guitar despite her namesake. Luckily, there is still a stringed instrument played by Jake Busey. That's right. It's the neon violin, which is tacky, terrible, and tantalizingly schlocky. Clancy Brown and Michael Ironside deliver what Jake contends are their top tier performances.  Basil Poledouris does the music, and while not his most rousing score, it gets the job done. His daughter also gets a cameo. We talk about the sequels which vary wildly in quality from super bad to just kinda bad. Neumeier continued to direct, but even legendary effects maestro, Phil Tippett, helmed an installment. Did you ever watch Roughnecks? Because we briefly talk about that show too. Briefly.  We spend a bit more grey matter and time on the Starship Troopers comic books, one of which was written by Transmetropolitan writer, Warren Ellis.  This week's "Hidden Track" is Night Cobra with their song, Escape from Earth.  Mars Attacks & Interview with Hunter Jackson ("Techno Destructo") | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 02:11:35

As we continue our bold adventure of 2001: A Space Augusty, trekking through all alien content, we talk Mars Attacks!  The film was directed by visual maestro of the macabre, Tim Burton (Batman, Edward Scissorhands, Pee-wee's Big Adventure). We talk about his original vision of the film, and his aspirations for a stop motion masterpiece.  Writer, Jonathan Gems, wrote not only this film, but also its novelization. He wrote the ill-fated, Beetlejuice Goes Hawaiian. The film stars Jack Nicholson, Glenn Close, Annette Bening, Danny Devito, Martin Short, Sarah Jessica Parker, Pierce Brosnan, Michael J. Fox, Natalie Portman, Jim Brown, Pam Grier, Jack Black, and about 50 other people. Did you know they somehow conned Frank I'm-the-voice-of-every-cartoon-you've-ever-seen-including-Megatron Welker into a booth to yell "Ack!" into a microphone? The original cards were the product of Len Brown, Woody Gelman, and legendary artist, Wally Wood. The franchise started off as a card collectible, but spun off into tons of comic crossovers: Godzilla, The Savage Dragon, Super Sentai Power Rangers, Popeye, Miss Fury, Star Slammers, Ghostbusters, Chew, Madman, Transformers, Spike, Strangers in Paradise, Zombies v. Robots, Rog-2000, Judge Dredd, Dinosaurs Attack, Munchkin, Bojack Horseman, and Red Sonja. Speaking of unsuspected crossovers, did you know how the film overlaps with the works of Howard Stern? Or how about this, did you know Alex Cox tried to get the film made back in the 80's?  We also have an in terview with Gwar co-founder, Hunter Jackson, aka "Techno Destructo." We talk about everything from his hot sauce brand, to his pro wrestling career, with tabletop gaming and his hatred of Star Wars in between. Support him at https://houseofhuntar.com/ This week's "Hidden Track" is The Voyage by Thurnin off their record, Menhir. https://thurnin.bandcamp.com/album/menhir ; https://www.facebook.com/Thurnin-2253470771426493/ If you ever have feedback or recommendations on future episodes,  please let us know at slasherspod@gmail.com.  Slither & Interview with Dr. Graham Lau ("Astrobeef") | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:44:42

Let's give this another go shall we? After penning what was actually an admittedly gnarly episode description to kick off 2001 A Space Augusty, it was all lost. Let's see Jake parody himself. *cracks fingers* This film is James Gunn's directorial debut, after writing for Troma with such films as Tromeo and Juliet and Terror Firmer, then Scooby Doo for Warner Bros. He went on to do Guardians of the Galaxy and after he was thoroughly swagger jacked by DC with their feeble Suicide Squad from 2016, he returns triumphantly to the house of Warner to grab that franchise by the ears and make mouth love to. The Suicide Squad comes out this week, fun coincidence.  Nathan Fillion (Firefly, Castle) plays Bill Pardy and will be returning to work with Gunn as The Detachable Kid ("T.D.K."). Similarly, Michael Rooker, who plays Grant Grant in this, will be coming to the DC Extended Cinematic Universe as Savant.  We talk about Elizabeth Banks' career, comedic chops, and how she may have played the part of Rita Repulsa, she did not look it, if you catch our meaning.  We also talk Gunn's burgeoning directing style in this and how he stayed clear of troops by some of his collaborators like Zach Snyder, whom he penned Dawn of the Dead for.  The effects in this film are stupendous and blend CGI and practical elements seamlessly. We talk about how the marketing materials failed the film in this regard, because the quality film you get is not depicted in the promotion.  Did you know that James Gunn was in a band called The Icons? They do not appear on this soundtrack, but they did make it onto his sophomore film, Super. The music for the film was actually done by Tyler Bates, who has done everything from Tammy & The T-Rex to the John Wick trilogy. . . (yes, I am purposefully leaving out the Rob Zombie Halloween films).  Last, we talk about all of the references to classic films such as The Thing and Big Trouble in little China with the Mayor, Jack MacReady, Tremors with the high school being named after Earl Bassat, Slugs, Shivers, The Brood, Night of the Creeps, Society, and even manga with Uzumaki by Junji Ito. This week's "Hidden Track" is Out Front by Life Force off their album, Hope And Defiance, on New Age Records. It features a vocal spot by Tim McMahon of Mouthpiece/Hands Tied/Search. They will be playing Promcore festival at The Vanguard in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on October 22nd and 23rd.  Super Mario Bros. & Interview with Destin from E.D.G.E. | File Type: audio/x-m4a | Duration: 01:59:59

Little reminder about this often-maligned gem from the 90s, it takes place in DINOhattan, the perfect backdrop for our last episode in Julyssic Park. Find out how we rank this film compared to Jurassic Park, Carnosaur, and Tammy & The T-Rex.  Super Mario Bros was directed by husband and wife duo, Rocky Morton and Annabel Jankel. We talk about their interesting methods and what stars Bob Hoskins (Hook, Who Framed Roger Rabbit), John Leguizamo (Spawn, Land of the Dead), and Dennis Hopper (True Romance, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2) had to say about them... spoiler alert, it wasn't good.  Did you remember that Fisher Stevens (Short Circuit 1 & 2) is in this? He and Richard Edson (Platoon, Howard the Duck) have tremendous chemistry. Listen close to find Jake's spinoff pitch for these two.  The film also features Mojo Nixon as Toad. Did you know that he got Winona Rider to be in his music video for "Debbie Gibson Is Pregnant with My Two-Headed Love Child"? Finally, we have to talk about Fiona Shaw as Lena, who gives off MAJOR Elizabeth Bathory vibes... Did you ever wonder what Super Mario creator, Shigeru Miyamoto, thought of the film? Well, we'll tell ya! Along with tons of video game trivia like how Pauline is Mario/ Jumpman's first girlfriend from Donkey Kong! If you need about 20 minutes of more Mario, you can find the Morton Jankel Cut by Garrett Gilchrist here: https://archive.org/details/super-mario-bros-1993-the-morton-jankel-cut-extended-vhs Speaking of fan-made labors of love, did you know there was a web comic sequel to the film to try to sate the crippling thirst for more you had when Princess Daisy kicked down the apartment door with a new mission?! Find it here, because we definitely talk about it! http://www.smbthecomic.com/comic/page-1/ The script is by original writer, Parker Bennett alongside Steven Applebaum and Ryan Hoss. Applebaum and Hoss are the editors for http://www.smbmovie.com, and their knowledge and love for this film are staggering. Art by Jack Forbes and Eryk Donovan.  We were fortunate enough to sit down with Destin from The Expeditioners Discovery Guild Enterprise to talk about which creature he thinks would make the scariest dinosaur. We also talk about how fossils and bones are not the same thing! Stop saying that! Find and support him here: https://www.facebook.com/EDGEonthetrail ; IG @edgeonthetrail ; and youtube.com/c/TheExpeditionersDiscoveryGuild for some amazing dinosaur and cryptid content!  Tammy and the T-Rex Feat. Interview with Your Dinosaurs Are Wrong | File Type: audio/x-m4a | Duration: 01:35:16

People often ask what media we hosts enjoy when we are not watching horror schlock for this show. Jake's all time favorite YouTube channel is https://www.youtube.com/c/YourDinosaursAreWrong Luckily, we get a chance to speak with host, Steven Bellettini, on this week's episode and discuss what dinosaur he thinks would be scariest. We also touch on tokusatsu, animation, and our other obsessions.  We then have the thrilling pleasure of discussing Tammy and the T-Rex, or Tanny and the Teenage T-Rex, depending on who you ask. The film was film directed by Stewart Raffill and written by Raffill and Gary Brockette. Raffill's grandson, the late, Paul Walker, stars as a kid who gets his brain put in a dinosaur robot for nefarious purpose by Terry Kiser as Dr. Gunther Wachenstein. Denise Richards plays the titular Tammy. She is joined by Theo Forsett as Byron Black, who is a scene stealer in the film.  We talk about how the film came to be, other films of the genre, and touch on some of the inaccuracies of the Tyrannosaurus Rex. Also, our wonderful host, Adrienne, just released her first book, Last Call: A Toxic Love Story. You can snag a copy here: https://www.amazon.com/Last-Call-Toxic-Love-Story-ebook/dp/B099NZRRSG/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&qid=1626668465&refinements=p_27%3ASantiago&s=digital-text&sr=1-2 If you send us proof you bought a copy of her book, we will give you free access to every Patreon bonus episode we have ever recorded.  This week's "Hidden Track" is Mice on Stilts with their song YHWH.
