#23 - Toronto Raptors win game 4, up 3-1, street preacher vs LGBTQ group | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 44:11

The raptors are one win away from the NBA Finals, while Temba is excited he is keeping a level head because history has shown us that a 3-1 lead in any major playoff sport is not safe. Speaking of the Raptors, another historic franchise in Mcdonalds has a sponsorship deal with the team and it made them lose millions of dollars in sponsorship because of a stipulation set by Mcdonalds. An NBA Warriors investor was banned from the league for an entire year and was fined $500K for pushing raptors Kyle Lowry. Temba speaks on why this is such an overreaction by the league and by the public. A Raptors fan yelled "FHRITP" phrase like we're back in 2014 at ayesha curry on local news television in Toronto, he almost got away with it. Union warns of possible layoffs after Toronto school teachers declare for surplus, a call back from #14 episode of the pod where Temba's former co host and him talked about the provincial budget cuts being made. A city garbage waste collector died after being pinned in between the truck and a tree, Temba talks about his experiences working security in dangerous areas and why you should never do a job if you feel it to be unsafe. And a religious street preacher was arrested after "disturbing the peace" with his anti LGBTQ thoughts, although Temba disagrees with the preacher, he defends his right to free speech which is different here in Canada.  #22 - Toronto Raptors win Game 1, Vegan activists harass customers at butcher shop | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 32:43

Raptors win Game 1 and the city is celebrating like we actually won the NBA Finals, relax people it's one game! Temba talks about why he thinks the Raptors still won't win this series. Speaking of Raptors and the fans wilding, scammers have been abound, one in particular where one woman was scammed out of over $700 because she thought she was getting a good deal, Temba says that he also has been getting emails and calls form scammers and how to avoid it. A woman was charged for a hit and run that she wasn't responsible for that left a 4 yr old in a coma. A viral video on instagram shows two police officers struggling to take down a teenager, Temba tries to make sense of both sides and why not to jump to conclusions. A driver in deer park pointed a firearm at a couple that told them to slow down, are people really that angry nowadays? And vegan activists are back at again trying to tell people who eat meat how to live their lives, and some of the protesting really gets out of hand, Temba goes off on why vegan people are some of the worst people around.  #21 - Toronto Raptors advance to NBA Finals, "gunman" carrying a banana | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 50:06

Oh what is this? An upload on a Sunday, yes the podcast has been moved a day early from Monday. This week is very historic, not just because of the history segment, but the Toronto Raptors have finally reached the NBA Finals for the first time in their history, Temba talks about why he had no faith in them and why he continues to have no faith in them against the warriors. A toronto psychiatrist has her licence suspended for 6 months for scamming her patients into trips overseas and over billing, how she got caught is the stupidest thing one could do. A man has been charged with sexual abuse and sexual exploitation over the course of 12 yrs, there's a special place in hell for people like this. People have been taking selfies and group pictures on train tracks while a train was in close proximity, why are people this stupid? Police were called for a person wielding a "gun" downtown, turns out it was a banana, and police arrest a man for indecent exposure. Available wherever you get your podcasts!  #20 - International student arrested for working too much, prison inmate gets prison guard pregnant | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 49:06

'Tis a funny bizarre week art thou my friends, sorry Temba has been watching too much game of thrones. An international student, Jobandeep Sandhu, that was arrested a year and a half ago has done an interview this past week talking about facing deportation for working more than 20 hrs a week. The gun buyback program has officially ended after a few weeks, and over 2,700 guns have been collected, Temba talks about why this still won't solve any gun violence occurring in the future. A person had crashed their ATV and eventually died from his injuries, Temba recalls his near death experience driving an ATV. Another week, another Brampton L, a brampton man had defrauded multiple potential tenants with apartment deposits, Temba says he had received multiple emails this week and calls in the past regarding money and tax scams. Another amber alert was sent out, thus more people complaining and calling 911 emergency line about being woken up from their beauty sleep, Temba rants on why people feel entitled. A woman says her dog was stolen on the subway after she fell asleep, it was near midtown area, the most ghetto area in Toronto, like Mufasa once said, you must never go there. And a prison inmate got a prison guard pregnant after multiple times of fraternizing, they also pulled a bonnie and clyde around the city as well, a true love story. Also a new segment called "This Week in Toronto History" Temba talks about the first railway being built, one of the first armouries for canadian army and milita in the late 1800's, and the first canadian place being the first bank ever in canada.  #19 - World War 1 memorial burned down, $17 million in drugs seized | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 43:34

This week is sad, superficial and downright weird. This week Temba talks about a new pop up social media spot called Eye Candy Toronto where you can show off to your followers cool set pieces like blockbuster, gold vault, pizza room, disco ring etc. the only problem Temba has is with the private jet and why so many people have this social media illness to try and seem more happy and to feed their ego and seem more important than they actually are. A huge fire broke out an 90 yr old memorial/school where history shows its scars on world war 1. Toronto had the biggest seize of drugs in not only its city's history, but Canada as well. Brampton takes another L as a bunch of criminals rob a jewelry store in broad daylight as people and cars going by. A man in joker makeup steals money out of a tip jar in Kensington market, Temba talks about his experiences going to Kensington market with his Dad back in the day and how weird people were even then. And a Canadian Nationalist Party burns a Quran at a protest rally downtown, what do people get out of this lol? Thanks for listening and SUBSCRIBING! Available wherever you get your podcasts!  #18 - Man parachutes in city, Suicidal man jumps onto train tracks | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:08:34

**AVENGERS ENDGAME SPOILERS** at 53:53 mins Another week, another SOLO show in the last 3 of 4 episodes thus looking for a new co - host. Temba rants for the first 13 mins on why his former co- host is once again not on the show and is looking for a new co host in the city of toronto or the GTA. This week we're back talking about an update made for the gun buypack program (over 500 guns have been bought back) and why it is still a farce and will not work in keeping the city safer. A strike has been avoided with toronto school bus drivers, Temba talks about the multiple strikes that affected him growing up in keeping his fat ass into shape by walking all the way to school instead of the school bus. A girl gets bullied at school and a swollen eye by another student, Temba has Vietnam flashback memories to when he was bullied and how quickly figured out a way to stop being bullied. Another day, another death by gun violence, so far 22 homicides and is quickly on pace to break last year's record. A skydiver was caught on video parachuting around midtown of Toronto, this dude was definitely playing grand theft auto the day before. The iconic Scotiabank theatre might be having a remakeover with a proposed plan of condos being built on top and some interior being removed, *sigh* because nothing says Toronto more like having more condos being built at every block yay! And a train was delayed at north york centre because of some mad man jumping on the train tracks, funny enough Temba was on the same train that was delayed for 15 minutes because of a "security issue" Available wherever you get your podcasts! iTunes l  Spotify l Stitcher l Android l Google Play Podbean l TuneIn l RSS  email: thisweekinto@hotmail.com subway map: https://www.ttc.ca/Spadina/About_the_Project/TTC_System_Map.jsp   Follow us on instagram: https://www.instagram.com/thisweekinto/ Follow Temba in twitter: https://twitter.com/tembajennings Subscribe to our youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCxgvK8oxhIzGlU4XDCPNcbQ

#17 - Gun control buypack program launched, bomb found near Rogers Centre | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 53:15

This week is a SOLO show and Temba briefly tells why, and a very scary week that doesn't want him to leave the house. A man that was ran over by a car and nearly paralyzed came to a press conference in a hospital bed and gave one of the most heartfelt speeches of all time asking for the driver to come forward, it almost made Temba cry. The city launches a gun control program, much like back in 2008 where they try to buy back any illegal possession of guns for a period of time, Temba explains why this doesn't make sense and won't work, especially now crime being as high as it now. An elderly man rolled up his rim to win at a Tim Hortons and won, but no response from the "greatest" franchise in toronto, Temba says from stories he has heard over the years the jeep prize might not be something to get your hopes up for. An anti - Semitic message was sprayed on a jewish family's home, the same day that a man shot down a synagogue in san diego. An old TTC train is on for bid starting at $5, Temba has a fascination for trains around the world. And toronto police find a suitcase near rogers centre "unattended".  #16 - Woman chops off man's penis, "delivery guy" shoots crossbow at victim | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 58:59

This is one bizarre week to say the least, new surveillance footage surfaced this week of a man posed as a delivery man firing a crossbow at a woman in her home, he must've thought he was alloy from horizon zero dawn. A man stole a firetruck while fooling emergency services he was in trouble, this dud definitely played alot of Grand theft Auto. 4/20 festivals were smokin and blazing in Toronto, the first time being legal since October 2018, before it was done every year in protest to legalize weed, we talk about why there shouldn't be any restrictions to sell weed. This week a memorial was being held for the victims of a hit and run tragedy that claimed 10 lives. A woman chopped off a man's penis allegedly due to a domestic violence issue. Sheesh! And a man from toronto was finally arrested after fleeing to Asia after killing an eldery man. I heard Asia and all i could think about was going to Japan :) Thanks for listening and SUBSCRIBING!  #15 - Toronto to spend $30B on Subway System, son killed his own mother | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 53:25

This week is a SOLO show as Terry has his exams to do this week and is studying hard, and is going to graduate after. Go wish him luck! It's been a pretty expensive week as Ontario Premier Doug Ford and Toronto lay out their nearly $30B plan over the next 10 yrs to build more subway stations, I talk about why it is waste of money and why Toronto is over 3 decades behind compared to other modern subway systems. A son killed his own mother at a food court, for what reason? A surgeon finally plead guilty to killing his own wife after he stuffed her body in a suitcase and threw her into a river. Marijuana shops are now starting to open up around Toronto, while others shops in Brampton are being raided for selling it illegally, sigh... Brampton with the daily L's. And a guy gets struck and hit by a car near an open streetcar bus shelter. I always feared me being hit by a car near those open bus shelters, and now it actually happened. Thanks for listening and follow us on wherever you get your podcasts, so that you'll automatically get a new episode downloaded right to whatever device you use.  #14 - Toronto Schools walk out in protest to education changes #StudentsSayNo, kid locked in storage closet at school | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:05:44

This past week, Toronto schools have been walking out of their schools in protest to education changes made by Doug Ford and the Ontario Government, Terry and I talk about why the protest doesn't make any sense, a kid was locked in a storage closet at an elementary school, the kids should be protesting against this LOL. A guy confronts dog owners being off their leash illegally in a park when there is no one else around, I guess he feels he needs to stand up for such an atrocious crime being committed. And cops stun a suicidal man in a Toronto Library after wielding a knife. Thanks for listening! Out wit the old and and in comes the new logo for "This Week in Toronto" podcast! We think it looks dope, and hope you do too! This week we're talking about El Chapo paying $150,000 to a truck driver to smuggle drugs from the U.S. and into Toronto, a TTC bus struck and killed a 60 yr old woman. Two kids assaulted a teacher after not letting them leave the classroom, and a subway rider was videotaped clipping their toenails, can the TTC and Toronto get any more weirder lol? And we also talk about the city of Brampton (that is in the Toronto area) taking L's everyday so much that we hope our bursts of laughter doesn't hurt your ears lol.  #12 - TTC Bus crashes into multiple houses, Loaded gun found in baby's handcrib | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 32:49

Terry's internet is back up but not without some issues before we started, and I literally woke up an hour before the podcast, sleep schedule is fucked because of work, someone help us lol. This week we're back talk about a TTC bus crashing into multiple homes, isn't Canada's #1 transit just lovely? An amber alert was sent out by a mother for a missing girl, claiming the father had abducted her, turns out it was a false alarm and the girl was fine, cruel people like this should be in jail. A loaded gun was found in a baby's crib, whoever was babysitting the kid should be banned from babysitting. And LCBO says that $77M was stolen in one year, YIKES!  #11 - MAGA Hat wearing teen disrupts vigil held for New Zealand shooting, Near Fatal plane crash on highway | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 40:55

This past week was so uneventful, my internet went down for a few days, then on sunday, terry's internet goes down as well, just before recording the podcast. So unfortunately this week is a SOLO show, Terry will be back next Monday and his internet should be fine. Hey Bell Canada umm.....FIX YOUR SHIT!!!! Anyways this past week in the greatest city in the world, I talk about the long time homeless spot under the gardiner expressway finally being removed by the city and why this probably won't solve anything. TTC was ranked the best city in Canada for public transit, this has to be a joke right? A near fatal plane crash on highway 404, turns into just a scrape on the road and the people who were in it, reminds me of those russian dash cam compilations back in the day . And a MAGA Hat wearing teen disrupts a vigil held for the victims of the New Zealand shooting, in any other political instance this would be fine, but how can one be so insensitive to a situation where the shooter likened to Donald Trump (I reviewed the week of Mar. 11 - Mar. 18, 2019) P.S. for the people on spotify, I forgot to mention on the pod, I dont know why the 10th episode wasn't uploaded to their feed, I reached out top spoitfy to add it, bu it seems unlike evey other podcast service, they don;t know how to add it to their feed after a mistake, unfortunately you will have to listen to the 10th episode on another service, hopefully the 11th is added as you're reading this lol, super sorry for that) **I accidentally muted the desktop audio while playing the MAGA york university video, my bad, here is the link: https://twitter.com/raneemayoub/status/1107832052957609984?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1107832052957609984&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.narcity.com%2Fca%2Fon%2Ftoronto%2Fnews%2Fyork-u-student-wearing-maga-hat-causes-disruption-at-new-zealand-massacre-vigil-video  iTunes l  Spotify l Stitcher l Android l Google Play Podbean l TuneIn l RSS    Follow me on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/tembajennings/  Twitter: https://twitter.com/TembaJennings   "Toronto" Art work by Beautiful My Walls:    https://pixels.com/featured/toronto-skyline-watercolor-poster-cityscape-painting-artwork-beautify-my-walls.html

#10 - Huge Gender pay gap not the case in Toronto, Man disappears, after posing as an Uber driver sexually assaulting a woman | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:09:02

Our 10th episode! Time flies by like like a call of duty match in search and destroy. This week, Terry and I talk about our local CityNews station interviewing women about gender pay gap because of a report conducted by the "Canadian policy for alternatives" that says Toronto is one of the worst cities for working women, if you spend a few minutes researching and do some multi layered analysis, you will find that is simply not the case. More global warnings from Environment Canada were saying last week and this upcoming week might cause serious harm to peoples throats, how many times since the early 2000's has Toronto issued extreme air pollution and nothing serious has come of it *sigh*. A man is facing 100 gun and drug charges after cops seized 16 guns and $400k in heroin, this dude must of thought he was El Chapo or preparing for a war. And a man who was in custody of posing as an uber driver and sexually assaulting a female has disappeared after posting bail. Thanks for listening! (We reviewed the week of Mar. 4th - Mar. 10, 2019)  P.S* We want to do a Q&A segment at the end of every podcast, if you want to submit a question for next week show or in future episodes, just hit me up on my socials below!
