 Is Bluetooth Destroying Your Cells? How To Biohack Hidden Electromagnetic Energy And What It Could Be Doing To Your Body — #014 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 14:25

Bluetooth: it's something that's extremely prevalent in the modern age, and is a super-common method of wireless data transfer that you likely use on a day-to-day basis in some form. And like almost all wireless transmission, Bluetooth emits radiation — albeit in very small amounts — but radiation nonetheless. And as I've become more and more wary of any kind of radiation or electromagnetic frequency exposure of late, it's something I thought I'd tackle in one of my solo biohacking episodes of the Bio Alchemy podcast. I touch on a couple of studies (linked below) that show what kind of an effect Bluetooth may be having on organic biology and cellular health, as well as some minor solutions you can implement in your daily life if you want to minimise as much as possible how much EMF exposure you're getting via Bluetooth. As I discuss in this episode, there's not a lot that's definitive in humans (yet), though the fact we know communications like Bluetooth have damaging effects on smaller organisms, leads me to believe it's having some kind of negative effect on humans as well. If you get anything out of this episode though that I'd really like you to take away, is that any transmitting device close to your head — ie; Bluetooth headphones — is likely doing you more harm than good. As with all transmitting devices like phones, WiFi, etc., the further it is from what is arguably your mot important organ, the better.  Freezing Your Ass Off Is Good For You: The Incredible Health Benefits Behind A Daily Cold Therapy Practice — #012 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 19:14

Let's face it; cold showers suck. And although I've already discussed my morning cold thermogenesis practice in episode #002 in a small amount of detail, so many of you weren't sure why this biohacking practice was so important, so I thought it necessary to dedicate one of my solo episodes to it. As far as biohacks go, this one is definitely effective, albeit one that you won't like doing, especially when you start the practice. Taking cold showers in the AM is something that's been gaining a ton of popularity in the worldwide community to biohackers, with the legendary Dutch cold therapy practitioner Win Hof being credited by many as bringing this tool into the general awareness of the public. And in this episode, I go into some more of the detail of why you should be taking cold showers in the morning, the mental and immunological benefits that they can have to your biology, how they can help you to become a more strong-minded human being, as well as the most important parts of your body you should be directing that frigid stream to maximise the benefits. For me, cold showers have been a part of my daily ritual for some time, though I will admit that it's not something I do without fail every day, but more often than not, I am freezing my ass off in the morning, sucking in deep breaths as my body adjusts to the shock, and wondering why the hell I started this whole biohacking thing in the first place. In it, I introduce Kyle, some of his achievements, and we discuss his Kilimanjaro adventure, biohacking, mental processes, fave books, and so much more. So when he offered an interview, I jumped at the chance without hesitation. Kyle was born a quadruple congenital amputee, meaning his arms and legs end near the elbows and knees. However his spirit has pushed him to pursue a truly extraordinary life. Kyle has competed as an MMA athlete, achieved champion status in wrestling, became the first quadruple amputee to summit mount Kilimanjaro (the tallest free-standing mountain on Earth) without the aid of prosthetics, modelled for Abercrombie & Fitch, as well as been a guest on Oprah, Tim Ferriss' podcast, and featured in just about every media outlet on the planet that matters. Essential oils are a controversial topic in some circles, due to the fact that they're sometimes peddled by stay-at-home MLM moms, who claim they can heal just about every condition on the planet, or be used as a remedy for absolutely everything. While many of the claims people like this looking to make a quick buck are incorrect, the simple fact is that essential oils can benefit us in many ways, and in some cases, their use is backed by real science. One such essential oil that I'm going to speak about in this episode is lavender, which has clinical backing showing its effectiveness as an anti-anxiety tool, relaxant, and compound that can not only be used as a sleep aid, but even assist with insomnia, showing the potential power of this natural wellness compound.
