Two remakes from Square Enix in two weeks? After the huge success of FFVII Remake on April 10, can they strike again with Trials of Mana. I doubt we'll see the same sales numbers but the game looks and plays great. Before its launch April 24, we have an interview with the game's developers on why they cut multiplayer, what changes were made, the challenges faced, and expectations moving forward. It's finally here. After 23 years and nearly 7 years since it's announcement, the world is now playing Final Fantasy VII Remake. Does it live up to the hype? The huge worldwide release of Final Fantasy VII Remake is a mere 2 days away. But all is not well with delivery backups from Amazon. I'll let loose a little steam as my copy has been delayed until April 14. Square Enix did release a final trailer for the game (it shows a lot!) as well as some images in a final media dump. We'll have much more on the game with my initial impressions in next week's podcast. The biggest news I wanted to share came from a recent interview with Falcom President Kondo. He talked about the growth of the series, the newest game Hajimari no Kiseki, and the company's new fans in the west. News about Y's IX was also in there along with localization of the PS4's Crossbell games. Plus more. Please don't be an April Fool's joke! We learned today on April 1 that Trails of Cold Steel IV will launch in the west this Fall 2020. The Switch and PC version in 2021. I can hardly contain my excitement as we've been waiting a long time on this announcement. In a huge JRPG week that saw the release of Persona 5 Royal, we had tons big announcements. Xenoblade Chronicles got a May 29 release date during the latest Nintendo Direct. I'm eagerly awaiting that game as well with my love of XC2 knowing no bounds. And I was wrong in Episode 105. It was the end of Mary Skelter, not Neptunia. I'll tell you about Mary Skelter Finale as well as many more stories in one of our best podcasts yet! The latest cancellation in the gaming world, E3 2020 will not go as usual. As fears around the corona virus spread, large conventions everywhere are being called off. Plans are still be made, but expect an online show of some sorts will still take place.
