The world got a taste of Final Fantasy VII Remake a month early as the long awaited and rumored demo finally released. Covering the first bombing mission and lasting a little over an hour, it left quite an impression. I'll talk about my feelings and some of our Facebook groups as well at the end of the podcast. It was truly a week without a headliner for Episode 101. I chose to focus on a Square Enix statement saying development of a PS5 or Xbox Series X specific game was still a long ways off. It appears most games will be up-res versions of currents systems. So when will we see a truly next game JRPG like FF XVI or DQ XII? Lord only knows. Episodes on back to back days? Love is surely in the air. I just could not wait to give my thoughts on the amazing FFVII Remake Opening movie. Head over to the Facebook page if you still haven't seen it. But Square Enix wasn't the only company feeling the love today. Atlus released it third and final movie for Persona 5 Scramble the Phantom Strikers. With just a week until its Japanese launch, they showed a lot of action and some terrifying bosses. Plus Atelier Ryza hit a big sales number along with a few other stories. I give my thoughts on why after 20 hours, Ryza is by far the best in the series and worthy of a pickup. Thanks for listening. Hot off the presses, Square Enix's latest media dump shines new lights on several areas. We learn about Red XIII and Professor Hojo, Tifa's battle abilities, and even see the Nail Bat in action! They talk about summons and the new mercenary quests that will add length and content to the game. It's all exciting news that answer some burning questions about the game. Final Fantasy VII Remake released its latest trailer titled "Theme Song" and boy does it show a lot. Maybe too much. I talk a little about what it does show but this game is dangerously close to revealing too much. We got a great video explaining what Persona 5 Scramble is all about, unfortunately it's in Japanese. Delays are a part of life in the gaming world. We learned of a short but big delay to Final Fantasy VII Remake this week. It is being pushed back from March 3 to April 10 for more polish. It's a light news week but we have some fun stories to mention. Persona 5 Scramble the Phantom Strikers had it's second video drop and its full of good info. The title looks very promising with more info coming next week.
