The Kevin Sheehan Show

With the Redskins officially eliminated from the playoffs, Kevin talks about the Skins' future....specifically, who's coming and who's going. Michael Phillips (Richmond Times Dispatch) considered the fates of 12 of the organization's players, coaches, and executives and came on to talk about it. Kevin went "Around the NFL" and updated the playoff picture. He also listed the teams in both conferences he believes can win the Super Bowl. He finished up the show with a brief "Weekend DVR" talking Terps, Caps, and Wizards. 

Kevin recaps the Redskins' gut-wrenching loss to the Titans. JP Finlay/NBC Sports Washington joins the show from Nashville to discuss the game and the harsh post-game comments from DJ Swearinger about Defensive Coordinator Greg Manusky. You'll hear Jay Gruden's post-game press conference where he got choked up at the end. Kevin goes through the Skins' remaining long-shot playoff scenarios and touches on the Ravens' lights-out defensive performance in their win over the Chargers. 

Chris Cooley joins Kevin to preview the Redskins-Titans game. Cooley had a crazy vision of a Skins' game-winning touchdown which is must-listen. They preview the entire NFL weekend too with Cooley talking a ton about the Ravens and Lamar Jackson. Kevin has 10 picks on his Smell Test and Andy Pollin joins him for "Skins Score and More". 

Kevin and Thom open the show talking Caps-Pens and then briefly discuss how repulsive the Wizards have become. They talk Montae Nicholson, Joe Flacco, the Redskins and their chances at Tennessee on Saturday. Scott Van Pelt joins the show to talk about a horrible college basketball beat last night and more. NFL Power Poll and more NFL discussion too.

Kevin opens with a short take on the Wizards loss in Atlanta and Trevor Ariza's first game back. A brief discussion about the Pro Bowl follows before he considers the merits of Jay Gruden returning as head coach. He talks DC legalizing sports betting and finishes with "NFL Buy and Sell".

Kevin and Thom talked about the uncontaminated as-of-yet Josh Johnson and why you should root for him. They also talked about the Redskin-fan conundrum of rooting for the current team to win games knowing that it may result in no off-season changes. They discussed about Bruce Allen's influence over who plays and who doesn't. They talked about Joe Theismann's tweet, the MNF broadcast booth returning in '19,Trevor Ariza, and last night's Panthers-Saints game. The show finishes up with "Coaching Blunders" which includes a non-blunder stroke of brilliance by Bill Belichick.

Kevin recaps the Redskins' win over Jacksonville and breaks down their current playoff position. JP Finlay/NBC Sports Washington joins the show from Jacksonville to describe the feeling in the locker room about Josh Johnson and their playoff hopes. Kevin goes "Around the NFL" and then finishes up the show with "Weekend DVR" where he brings in Chris Miller/NBC Sports Washington to talk about the Wizards' win last night and the Trevor Ariza trade.

Kevin opens the show talking about last night's Chargers-Chiefs classic. Yes, there is a "Skins beat Jags if" segment this week. USA Today's Mike Jones joins the show to talk NFL and Redskins. Chris Cooley calls in; so does Andy Pollin. The "Smell Test" is 44-16-1 over the last month....three more picks this weekend. 

Kevin and Thom open the show with a brief discussion of last night's Wizards-Celtics game. They turn to Jay Gruden's reaction to Mason Foster's comments and whether or not Foster should have been released. Maryland Football Coach Mike Locksley is a guest on the show. Kevin and Thom talk Redskins ownership, Bryce Harper, the DC sports broadcast Mount Rushmore and finish up the show with their NFL Power Poll. 

Kevin opens the show by discussing the possibility that RG3 could compete for an NFL starting job somewhere next year and that somewhere could be in Washington. Kevin then talks about the Mason Foster situation before ranking the Redskins Snyder-era "Rock Bottoms". Scott Allen from the Washington Post and Caps play-by-play voice Joe Beninati are guests on the show. Kevin talks NFC playoff picture and does an "NFL Buy and Sell" to finish up.

After Kevin makes excuses for Kirk Cousins, Thom discusses the question he posed to Jay Gruden that upset the coach so much on Sunday. Kevin and Thom discuss the Washington Post story on the potential for a Skins' stadium at the RFK site. Then, Thom explains why he thinks Bryce Harper could still end up a Washington National in 2019 and Kevin explains why the NFL 10-minute overtime rule must be changed again. "Coaching Blunders" highlights the major mistake Mike Tomlin made at the end of the Steelers-Raiders game.

Kevin starts the show describing the all-too familiar feeling of Redskins' hopelessness and calls for a total organizational reboot. He also recaps the Redskins' ugly 40-16 loss to the Giants in shorter than usual order. JP Finlay/NBC Sports Washington joins the show to discuss if a coaching or front office change is imminent. Kevin then goes "Around the NFL" discussing a wild day with memorable finishes and concludes with "Weekend DVR" and a suggestion to watch HBO's final farewell to boxing. 

Kevin starts the show talking about Alex Smith's condition, the Terps' loss at Purdue, and Derrick Henry's record run last night against the Jags. Cooley joins the show for 40 minutes of Skins and NFL talk. He talks about what he likes and doesn't like about Mark Sanchez, why the Skins' running game isn't working, and the player who has surprised him in recent weeks with impressive performances. Cooley & Kevin do "Friday Football Quick Picks" together which is followed by 11 "Smell Test" picks. The show finishes up with "Skins Score and More" predictions with Andy Pollin.

Kevin opens the show talking about Mark Sanchez's smooth press conference from yesterday. He also reminds everyone of the 2009 rumored attempt by the Skins to trade up to draft Sanchez. Thom called in from vacation with interesting information he obtained from the Santa Clara, California DA's office on Reuben Foster's first alleged domestic violence incident. Scott Van Pelt joined the show for a conversation about Terps' new football coach Mike Locksley and the show finished up with an NFL Power Poll.

Kevin talks Redskins change and Jay Gruden's Kapernick answers to start the show. ESPN's John Keim is a guest talking Skins and what's next if they don't make a late-season run. Maryland basketball head coach Mark Turgeon is a guest on the show with the Terps ranked 23rd and headed to Purdue tomorrow night. Kevin discusses new Terps football coach Mike Locksley and does some "Coaching Blunders" and "NFL Buy and Sell" too.
