Kicking off week 3 of Johnny broadcasting from Curacao while he helps our friend George Kieffer get back on his feet after dealing with bacterial meningitis...and, frankly, our boy Dare is getting a little stir crazy living out of his backpack, dealing with the locals and now living on a boat...but, that aside, George is getting better and better every day...and Johnny even snuck a coke into the hospital for him!!
We're ending Johnny's 2nd week in Curacao on a high note! George's house in order...that little hiccup of Dare accidentally putting gas in George's diesel truck has been fixed...and most importantly, George's condition continues to improve!
We love the band Dirty Honey, not only because they write some of the most ass shakin' riffs we've heard in a long time, but because they have the kind of work ethic and attitude it takes to become true superstars. The band just released a new single, 'Won't Take Me Alive", and it's got the kind of riff and vocals that harkens back to that huge 70s vibe that you just don't hear enough anymore! We talked to frontman Marc LaBelle this morning, who called us WHILE HE'S ON VACATION IN ITALY...because that's the kind of band Dirty Honey is.
Chiefs training camp opens up to the public this weekend, and the Netflix docu-series "Quarterback" that features Patrick Mahomes is a runaway hit...so it only makes sense to catch up with our friend, the VOICE of your Chiefs, Mitch Holthus to see what's in store for the upcoming season, talk about the fire in Patrick Mahomes belly to win another Super Bowl and more!
Anyone who has been in the hospital for any length of time, or has dealt with someone in that situation, knows that there comes a point where you're just done and want nothing more than to get up and walk the hell out of that place and never look back. And that's where our friend George is right now. While the bacterial meningitis is slowly going away, he still has a ways to go...but his frustration for wanting to go home has been a lot.
If something tried to eat you, most people wouldn't be in too big of a hurry to try to SAVE that something. That is, unless you're Paul de Gelder, who took a shark attack that left him missing two limbs, into a life of working to save the very creatures that so many fear. And now he's back as part of Discovery's Shark Week!!
It's been a hot minute since we've talked to our friend Jesse James Dupree, but with Sturgis 2023 right around the corner, we thought it was time to find up what's in store at the Full Throttle and the Pappy Hoel Campground for the rally! And in typical fashion, Dupree had some tales to tell!!
After a shitty day the day before, things seem to be falling into place, slowly but surely. George is getting better by the day, and Johnny hasn't had to murder anyone...yet. But Dare's been busting his ass to get things ready for George's eventual return home from the hospital, and that's exactly what our friend George needs right now!
We knew it wouldn't last. When Clint Bowyer said he was retiring from racing...we knew it would just be a matter of before the he'd be back behind the wheel of a race car...and now that's happened as Clint is racing in Tony Stewart's SRX Super Star Racing alongside other NASCAR and Indy racing greats!!
By now you know that Johnny has been down in Curacao helping getting our friend George Kieffer get back on his feet as he recovers from bacterial meningitis...and while things have been progressing nicely...sometimes though, you hit some speed bumps that you might night expect....
Ohio State University student and amateur python hunter Jake Waleri made headlines last week when he and his crew caught a record-setting 19th foot Burmese python in the Florida Everglades...and he stopped by this morning to tell us all about it!
We're starting week 2 of Johnny broadcasting from Curacao as he tends to our friend George Kieffer...and good lord...while George is getting better every day, Dare has been on a hilarious hell ride over the last few days...one that could only happen to our boy Johnny.
Who left that booger sugar in the West Wing? Is Chiefs-a-holic a complete moron? And...how one robbers love of The Colonel led to his arrest! These are some of the things we covered today in our conversation with former FBI asst director and host of the podcast "The Bureau", Frank Figliuzzi!!!
When you have a friend in the hospital recovering from a potentially deadly infection, you celebrate every little step toward a return to normalcy...little things like eating a burger...or pooping...all of it!! Our friend George is getting better and better every day...and Johnny's wrapping up week one in Curacao with an update!
Day 4 of Johnny broadcasting from Curacao where he's helping our friend George Kieffer get back on his feet after a devastating bout of bacterial meningitis, and it's become clear that our boy Dare is: A.) Tired of sweating B.) Tired of Dutch food BUT we're all glad he's there (and so is he) to help out our friend!
