Pulpit & Pen Program, April 22, 2014 On today's program, JD starts with an advertisement from a bridal magazine highlighting "11 Maternity Wedding Gowns Designed to Flaunt Your Baby Bump." He then moves on to a megachurch pastor who says he was "nudged by Jesus" to change his views on human sexuality, endorsing gay "marriage" and then moves on the Matthew Vines' "gay christian" book being published by a Christian book publisher. Then, JD talks about the marijuana -holiday (4-20) falling on Easter and some churches preaching pot-themed Easter sermons and then covers "Mystery Church Guests" being paid $45 to visit churches and critique the worship experience.

Pulpit & Pen Program, April 21, 2014 On today's episode, JD begins with an update the dismissal of Caner's lawsuit  with prejudice against Jason Smathers, and he replays a short snippet from his previous interview with Jason Smathers on the subject. He then discuss a new post at Pulpit & Pen regarding nine questions for Peter Lumpkins entitled, "Leavening the Lumpkins." JD then plays portion of a video of Jacob Prasch (posted by Phil Johnson) criticizing John MacArthur and covers Rick Warren's Easter advertisement in the Daily #DOWNGRADE.

Pulpit & Pen Program, April 17, 2014 On today's program, JD asks pastors if they do enough to keep leaven from leaving the lump of their congregation, using as an example the popular "Women of Faith" tours with speakers such as Word-of-Faith impastor, Christine Caine. He also begins with a stinging barb directed toward Al Mohler by someone in social media. Next, JD highlights some excellent articles from Joshua Breland and another on why evangelicals are leaving the church and gives an update on Professor Godwin at Liberty University and the fallout from the Benny Hinn debacle. Finally, JD addresses a post at Synergism Today from Adam Harwood.

Pulpit & Pen Program, April 16, 2014 In today's episode, JD covers the daunting sin and continued rebellion towards Christ by the Louisiana College Board of Trustees.JD believes there's no recourse for Louisiana Baptists but to leave the state Convention. He also discusses a newly hired female 'impastor' and the Cowboy Bible.

Original Air Date: April 14, 2014 On today's program, JD begins with discussion of a new article concerning George Barna's poll alleging that the Bible has waning influence in America (no kidding) and then moves on to a Radio Free SBC segment focused on Eric Hankins' assertion at SBC Voices that the Traditionalist Statement was never intended to be a litmus test and he calls it a 'blogosphere conspiracy.' JD points out the documentation from Louisiana College from so-called 'traditionalists' testifying that David Hankins intended to use it at a litmus test at Louisiana College and the Louisiana Baptist Convention. JD wonders why Eric seems oblivious or ignorant as to why his father intended to use it this way - and isn't the only one who doubts it. In the Daily #DOWNGRADE, JD discusses an article from the Baptist Press encouraging more 'prayer walking.

  Original Air Date: April 9, 2014 On today's program, JD launches with a discussion about 'Four Blood Moons' and the end of the world. Should we be interpreting omens? Then, JD discusses a new article alleging that science confirms that speaking in tongues has a 'real impact' on the human brain. Then, JD asks ' ' Why has the Reformed Baptists' arch-nemesis Paige Patterson been invited to Shepherd's Conference 2015? Maybe it's the apocalypse after all.

Original Air Date: April 6, 2014 On today's program, JD discusses a recent article by Ed Stetzer, arguing that online churches are not real churches. JD asks if this is so, why affinity-based churches should be considered a real church. In light of this, JD reveals a new movement called 'fight church' in which pastors and others cage fight in the name of Jesus. Then, in a Radio Free SBC, JD covers the botched truth presented in the 2013 article about Louisiana College from Kelly Boggs and laments the lack of journalistic integrity in the SBC and moves on to cover a news segment from PBS about the 'New Calvinism' in the SBC. For the Daily #DOWNGRADE, we look at a Texas Church that spread a rumor that George W Bush was visiting, even though it was only an impersonator, to get people in the door.

Also discussed is WorldVision's reversal and the 'tens of thousands' of children now going unsupported and Rachel Held Evan's 'official' exodus from evangelicalism. In the Daily #DOWNGRADE, JD discusses Liberty University's alleged partnership with Benny Hinn, in which Liberty University's Provost and Senior Vice President appeared on the Benny Hinn program.

Finding it peculiar, JD just submits it for your consideration. JD plays the third and last in a series of messages on why 'Tithing is not Anathema.' In the Daily #DOWNGRADE segment, JD talks about a recent release of 'Twenty Most Influential Evangelicals' from Lifeway director, Thom Rainer. Original Air Date: April 3, 2014 In today's program, JD has a 'Battle of the Blasphemies' between Kim Kardashian (quoting Jesus to tell people not to judge sin) and Lady Gaga (who resurrect 'Jesus' and makes an army out of Jesus clones), and then discusses a man who received probation instead of jail time for raping his daughter because the judge said he would not 'fair well' in prison, given his wealth and fame. JD also briefly discusses the frightening new government mandate that all passenger vehicles have back up cameras by 2018, then looks at a church bringing in Pete Rose to discuss 'second chances' in the Daily #DOWNGRADE.

Original Air Date: April 1, 2014 JD resumes his three-part series on Biblical giivng and again asks the question, 'Is Tithing Anathema' from a recent message he delivered at the Fellowship Church of Sidney. JD looks at what Biblical New Testament financial stewardship is all about. For the Daily #DOWNGRADE segment, JD plays a tithing-promotional video from Radiant Church.

Original Air Date: March 31, 2014 On today's program, JD launches with an over-due update on the Worldvision reversal on its gay 'marriage' policy. He then plays the world's tiniest violin for Rachel Held Evan's heartbreak over the reversal. Then, JD plays the new David Hankins' intro music and explains what's happening with Joe Aguillard's soon-to-be-manifest resignation or firing. JD then talks about his recent interaction with Paige Patterson and in this INCREDIBLE Daily #DOWNGRADE segment, Paige Patterson, when asked his favorite modern theologian, gives the name of a Roman Catholic heretic.

  Original Air Date: March 28, 2014 On today's program, JD discusses Jimmy Carter's continued claim that Southern Baptists and other evangelicals holding to complementarianism are responsible for abuse and harm of women. He then talks about a new post at Pulpit & Pen from Tom Buck about pastors that 'stretch the truth' in the sermon illustrations like Bill Britt and says it's a possible reason for their own defense of Ergun Caner. JD also talks about a new post at Synergism Today, bringing up the hypothetical and mystical, mythical Reformed Southern Baptist who thinks babies go to hell. For the Daily #DOWNGRADE segment, JD gives us the first #UPGRADE - a pastor of an affinity-based Cowboy church who now does not advocate the affinity-based model.
