Original Air Date: June 5, 2014 On today's episode, JD does some 'housekeeping' and gives additional info concerning recent reporting, including that the reporting on Danny Cortez has not been exactly accurate and more on the possible gag-order on Mohler concerning Ergun Caner. JD then talks about Brad Whitt and Peter Lumpkins low-blow tweets pointing out that the recently released Army deserter and P.O.W. was raised Presbyterian and therefore, Calvinism might to blame for his desertion. Then, JD discusses Beyonce's pastor sticking up for her entertainment 'style' and finally, he plays a song 'Jesus is my boyfriend' and covers a bizarre advertisement in the Louisiana Baptist State Inquisition's newspaper, the Baptist Message in the Daily #DOWNGRADE.

Original Air Date: June 3, 2014 In today's episode, JD discusses a few news articles, including Planned Parenthood issuing a 'pastoral letter' to assure people that God approves of abortion, and then discusses several music artists that started out in contemporary music - as illustrated in an article from Breathcast. Then, JD plays a lecture he gave at his church Sunday evening that explains why his church voted to remove their denomination affiliation from the Constitution and why they voted to adopt the London Baptist Confession (1689) as he went the Spurgeon's historical reasons for disfellowshiping from #DOWNGRADE during his Down Grade controversy. Then, JD puts Al Mohler in the Daily #DOWNGRADE for addressing Danny Cortez' affirming homosexuality in spite of church autonomy - which is the reason Al and others in the SBC hide behind to avoid addressing other (more controversial) scandals. JD urges real leaders to rise up who will lead even when it's unpopular.

This continues to demonstrate a systemic problem with the pastoral leadership at Cross Church that diminishes teachings of holiness and that Cross Church might be the epitome of the typical megachurch in the realm of discipleship deficiencies. In the Daily #DOWNGRADE, JD hands out the Patterson "Dumbest Defense Awards" from nominees submitted by the #pulpiteers.

Then, JD asks whether or not Chingy should have a place in your church, other than person to be evangelized. JD and Chris discuss the Emergent decononstructionism, category errors, historical misconceptions, and denials of important Christian doctrines throughout the article and they discuss why blindly affirming an individual, in spite of their unorthodoxy and dangerous beliefs, leads to inevitable #DOWNGRADE.es, this time opining about a post from Mike Leake. Also covered is the Illinois Governor asserting that a 40 hour work week and a ten dollar minimum wage is "old as the Bible" and discusses recent news that Idaho Governor signed a new law nullifying all future federal gun laws. JD then discusses 20 former Mars Hill pastors calling for accountability for Mark Driscoll and then tackles a Charisma magazine article claiming that Driscoll's critics are "enemies within the church" and JD points out that what Phil Johnson, Chris Rosebrough and others are not enemies.
