Original Air Date: June 6, 2014 In today's episode, JD interviews Justin Peters about the video released on Thursday of the *EPIC* mistake of Todd Bam-Bam Bentley giving the microphone to Justin at a miracle service. Apparently, the prophet didn't see what would happen next. Then, JD plays an excerpt from a message by Ross Orgill at Grace Life London during the 'Voices in the Wilderness' segment. In the Daily #DOWNGRADE, JD plays a clip from Joel Osteen on gay marraige (No, not that one. No, not that one either. A new one).  

Original Air Date: June 5, 2014 On today's episode, JD does some 'housekeeping' and gives additional info concerning recent reporting, including that the reporting on Danny Cortez has not been exactly accurate and more on the possible gag-order on Mohler concerning Ergun Caner. JD then talks about Brad Whitt and Peter Lumpkins low-blow tweets pointing out that the recently released Army deserter and P.O.W. was raised Presbyterian and therefore, Calvinism might to blame for his desertion. Then, JD discusses Beyonce's pastor sticking up for her entertainment 'style' and finally, he plays a song 'Jesus is my boyfriend' and covers a bizarre advertisement in the Louisiana Baptist State Inquisition's newspaper, the Baptist Message in the Daily #DOWNGRADE.

Original Air Date: June 4, 2014 On today's program, JD reports on an SBC professor fired because his 'magnificent beard' was used by a brewery on their beer cans (without his knowledge). JD also discusses Tylor Standley of WBC (Jordan's alma mater, previously discussed with Chris Rosebrough) who has declared himself an Open Theist. After briefly discussing Peter Lumpkins and speculation about Al Mohler's silence concerning Ergun Caner, JD launches into a Daily #DOWNGRADE segment with an audio clip of a pastor flipping out on his congregation, but is torn about whether it's #DOWNGRADE or Upgrade. He asks for your opinion in the Sermon Bunker.

Original Air Date: June 3, 2014 In today's episode, JD discusses a few news articles, including Planned Parenthood issuing a 'pastoral letter' to assure people that God approves of abortion, and then discusses several music artists that started out in contemporary music - as illustrated in an article from Breathcast. Then, JD plays a lecture he gave at his church Sunday evening that explains why his church voted to remove their denomination affiliation from the Constitution and why they voted to adopt the London Baptist Confession (1689) as he went the Spurgeon's historical reasons for disfellowshiping from #DOWNGRADE during his Down Grade controversy. Then, JD puts Al Mohler in the Daily #DOWNGRADE for addressing Danny Cortez' affirming homosexuality in spite of church autonomy - which is the reason Al and others in the SBC hide behind to avoid addressing other (more controversial) scandals. JD urges real leaders to rise up who will lead even when it's unpopular. 

Original Air Date: June 2, 2014 Today's episode begins with JD discussing a recent fad - grown men ordering breast milk online to 'boost their energy' and then moves on to an article in his local paper encouraging Montanans to 'Celebrate Gay Marriage.' Then JD launches into a Radio Free SBC to discuss the first SBC church to become 'gay affirming' and provides some commentary for a clip of a worship service using the 'Holy Spirit Hokey Pokey' in the Daily #DOWNGRADE.

Original Air Date: May 30, 2014 In today's program, JD covers a couple articles in the news, including the SBC's decline in baptism seven years in a row and Leah Remini's departure from Scientology. Then, JD talks to Tom Buck about his resolution against Christian vs Christian lawsuits that will be offered up at the Southern Baptist Convention in Baltimore in a few weeks. JD then covers the articles that oppose this resolution from both Peter Lumpkins and Tim Rodgers. Finally, JD plays a clip from an excellent sermon by Harold Smith.

Original Air Date: May 29, 2014 In today's program, JD discusses an article at Synergism Tomorrow in which Peter Lumpkins goes after Chuck Quarrles for 'believing the Bible and stuff' (that's JD's characterization) and then move to Jennifer Knap's Lesbian memoir being published by a Christian Book publisher and JD discusses an article in which she defends her behavior as 'just who she is.' In the Daily #DOWNGRADE, JD plays and provides commentary for a church-created spoof of the song 'Baby Got Back' entitled 'Baby Got Bible.'

Original Air Date: May 28, 2014 In today's program, JD plays a message on the topic of Law and Gospel he preached this Sunday. From 1 Timothy 3, JD discusses Christian standards for holiness and the relationship between justification and sanctification. In the Daily #DOWNGRADE, JD breaks down a bit, going over the speakers list for the 2014 SBC Pastor's Conference.  

Original Air Date: May 27, 2014 On today's program, JD talks about "tap theology" and the assertion that beer can be used to bring people together. After a brief discussion about Dave Miller's SBC Voices as JD talks about Ronnie Floyd's School of Ministry President in a newer post at Pulpit & Pen, in which he provides screenshots of the president's son demonstrating a lack of home discipleship. This continues to demonstrate a systemic problem with the pastoral leadership at Cross Church that diminishes teachings of holiness and that Cross Church might be the epitome of the typical megachurch in the realm of discipleship deficiencies. In the Daily #DOWNGRADE, JD hands out the Patterson "Dumbest Defense Awards" from nominees submitted by the #pulpiteers.

Original Air Date: May 25, 2014 In today's episode, JD introduces a musical artist who goes by the name "Chingy." Chingy believes in astro-theology and explains how Jesus is represented by the horoscope sign "Pices" and that the burning bush Moses spoke to was some kind of gland in the body that centers meditation power. Then, JD asks whether or not Chingy should have a place in your church, other than person to be evangelized. In the Daily #DOWNGRADE, JD plays a clip from Ronnie Floyd's Cross Church in which the student minister dances to x-rated lyrics in one of Chingy's songs as a part of their youth service. JD also discusses criticism he's received from Floyd supporters on the Pulpit & Pen website.

Original Air Date: May 23, 2014 On today's program, JD looks to a Breathcast.com article discussing Oprah's title as America's most respected or prominent spiritual teacher. Then he plays audio from a Youtube clip you might find amusing and briefly discusses a third option for president of the SBC. In the Daily #DOWNGRADE, JD discusses CJ Maheney and Tim Guthrie. In the process, both hypocrisy and irony died in a head-on collision. May they rest in peace.

Original Air Date: May 22, 2014 On today's program, JD covers Liberty University's response to criticism concerning Glenn Beck preaching at their convocation, then plays clips from Glenn Beck's rebuke of the "haters" with "moron children" who are upset at Liberty for inviting him t speak. JD briefly discusses the Tullian vs The Gospel Coalition drama and then discuss "special music" in the Daily #DOWNGRADE.

Original Air Date: May 21, 2014 On today's program, JD briefly encourages folks to pay attention to the reporting on Louisiana College from the Town Talk and then laments the continual lecturing on being "divisive" from the posts at SBC VoicIn today's program, JD puts his alma mater, Williams Baptist College in the hot-seat in this hour-long doublesode forming one, big #DOWNGRADE segment as he discusses an article in Relevant Magazine "Six Heretics Who Should Be Banned From Evangelicalism" written by WBC graduate, Tylor Standley with apologist, Chris Rosebrough. JD and Chris discuss the Emergent decononstructionism, category errors, historical misconceptions, and denials of important Christian doctrines throughout the article and they discuss why blindly affirming an individual, in spite of their unorthodoxy and dangerous beliefs, leads to inevitable #DOWNGRADE.es, this time opining about a post from Mike Leake. Also covered is the Illinois Governor asserting that a 40 hour work week and a ten dollar minimum wage is "old as the Bible" and discusses recent news that Idaho Governor signed a new law nullifying all future federal gun laws. JD then discusses 20 former Mars Hill pastors calling for accountability for Mark Driscoll and then tackles a Charisma magazine article claiming that Driscoll's critics are "enemies within the church" and JD points out that what Phil Johnson, Chris Rosebrough and others are not enemies. In the Daily #DOWNGRADE, JD looks at another Charisma news article (this time it's a good one) that explains why the author can't endorse secular songs being sung in worship services, he developed in part out of a visit to Steven Furtick's Elevation Church.  

Pulpit & Pen Program, May 20, 2014 In today's episode, JD goes into a Radio Free SBC and discusses the "softer tone" on homosexuality that some in the SBC desire and Russell Moore claiming that those who are outraged over homosexual issues are "losers." He also discusses Moore leading prayer at an ecumenical event recently. Then, JD "dissects a #DOWNGRADE" and explains how a #DOWNGRADE works and spreads, using the Southwestern Seminary as an example. Ind the Daily #DOWNGRADE, JD reveals the softcore pornography-themed Youth Retreat and Westside Baptist Church in Gainesville, FL.

Pulpit & Pen Program, May 19, 2014 In today's episode, JD looks at the new revelations that Paige Patterson has enrolled a Muslim at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and Patterson predictably insinuates it was to "win him" to Jesus. JD has spoken to a number of students at SWBTS about this travesty and reports their thoughts. In the Daily #DOWNGRADE, JD actually gives UPGRADE status to a #Pulpiteer at SWBTS.
