If you aren't able to take your dog to work with you, your dog is sitting at home collecting energy. So while you burn energy your dog is gaining energy. This weeks marks a new beginning for us here at Vermont Dog Trainer. We are no longer accepting socially unacceptable dogs in our daycare and no more board & trains. We also get into Serena's mind a bit and learn what she has been going through with clients during her private lessons.

I'm back to doing my Monday Night Live's every Monday at 6:30pm. If you miss them I will be adding them as podcasts and publishing them every Friday. This past Monday I spoke about the importance of including the owner in all of the training sessions instead of doing a board and train. Enjoy!

Every Monday morning for the past 6+ years I have been doing a Monday morning radio spot for 93.9 WLVB. I do it over the phone and usually cover anything from reservations to behavior tips. Biggest change from last week is that Nick Draper is back working with us. He was one of my assistant trainers who took another job last October. At the airing of this radio segment we were celebrating having Jemma for a year. Recently she just completed her 2nd heat and we just had her spayed 2 weeks ago. Another Learn, Practice, Master, Begin Again workshop is in the books. This was a wonderful group of students that were so willing to learn about dog psychology. The "Real World" Consultations were the biggest hit. We sat down with Erynn Connors who just opened up her daycare facility in Rutland, Vermont. Both Serena and myself had an eventful week between her wedding and my trip to Ohio. It was fun to catch up with her and we had a nice talk about muzzles too.
