I think there is a big myth that if you neuter your dog that it will get rid of all the unwanted behaviors and make them a better dog.  This isn't always the case, it's just part of the bigger picture.  Courtesy 93.9 WLVB

This can be a touchy subject but I think it's important to talk about.  If you have an overweight dog you are doing them a disservice.  You are literally cutting years off of their life by constantly feeding them.  Be sure to visit your vet should you have questions.  Courtesy 93.9 WLVB

I let Chelsea hit me withe first topic during this episode and little did I know it was going to be the EXACT same thing I was going to talk about!  We never bring up to each other what we are going to talk about so this was pretty awesome! 

I reached out to Mailey to talk about communicating with clients as we touched on it during her first appearance on the show.  As a dog trainer or dog owner.....you will take something away from this episode that will teach you how to deal with others.

Dog owners with kids - we need to make sure our kids are staying safe.  We can not get a dog to teach responsibility to young kids.  It's too much for them to understand, and they don't understand dogs so why would we put our kids and dogs in a position to fail? Courtesy 93.9 WLVB

One of my assistant trainers Matt Bettis joined me again as Chelsea is still in the process of moving.  These are interesting times right now and it's up to everyone to navigate our way through them. 

What does 90 days mean to our dogs?  Just more proof that things need to move slowly with them.  For some days, it takes up to 90 days to create a routine or pattern for them.  That means that we need to patient with them and be consistent with our communication. 

With Chelsea in the middle of a big move I decided to fly solo and tell you what's going on in my world these days.  Plus I had a visitor in my office while I was taping this episode.
