Dog Training It was great having Linn here...I saw depths of working with dogs that I have never seen before and I know we are just getting started. As a staff we have already implemented some changes and it's worked wonders with the dogs in our care. When the dust settled at the end of the week we sat down to have a casual conversation about the week, the dogs, techniques, and what the future holds.

Dog Training Linn's time here is done.......for now....and I have a sense of completion. I have a TON of practice to do but when it comes to dogs I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty!

Dog training Nearing the end of the week....so many transformations in the dogs it's almost countless.

Dog Training My first day of having Linn Boyke spending the day with me at my facility was eye opening. With his help we saw 3 MAJOR transformations in 3 different dogs that was stunning! To see a dog that started in the corner of the room to wanting to be a part of the group and be social was heartwarming. Dog Training I'll be the first to admit that I don't have all the answers or there are some situations that I can't advise without seeing the dog. That happened during the live stream but because I'm building such a network I can now find a trainer for an owner that's struggling with their dog. This is a fun episode with the subjects above, if you're a dog owner you will get something out of this episode!

Dog Training You may or may not know that I don't teach dogs to sit that come to us for training. Sitting isn't the problem, the dog's state of mind is. A dog can be aggressive and just because it sits down doesn't mean you have taken the aggression away. I am not teaching Jemma to sit, listen in to hear my reasons why. Courtesy 93.9 FM WLVB

Dog Training This is always a touchy subject with dog owners. There are owners that want their dogs to romp off leash and have a good time and there are owners that can't take their dogs off leash and need a little guidance with socializing. Either way, you should always be thoughtful of who you might run into and how to best handle the situation. Letting your dog run up to another dog off leash is playing Russian Roulette. Dog Training Man did I ever get some flack about this Live Stream! There are a lot of dog owners out there that actually think their 4-legged furry dog is actually a human! Needless to say this topic gets me going and I cut loose during this live stream to get my point across! P.S. HOPE YOU LIKE THE NEW INTRO ;-)

Dog Training I learned about this concept a couple of months ago when I was talking with Linn Boyke (previous dog trainer interview). I had sent him a video of a dog playing and he quickly responded and informed me of the sparring vs. playing concept. It made a TON of sense to me and ever since then I have kept a closer watch on how the dogs play during daycare. Courtesy 93.9 WLVB FM

Dog Training During these summer months we deal with all sorts of weather. Some of it our dogs are okay with, some are not. Either way we should try to do something about it. Whether you want to make it a training session or a play session you should make thunderstorms as enjoyable as possible for your dog.

Dog Training It's always great talking to a fellow New Englander. She loves to educate dog owners about their dogs and to help them through the tough times.
