Alicia and get around to review Dark Matter after watching the first two seasons.  The series are on us and we were excited to see the 3rd season come out.  But highly disappointed to know it was the last season.   When crew members working on a derelict spaceship awaken from stasis, they have no memory of who they are or how they got onto the vessel. The only clues to their identities are weaponry and a destination. They must band together to fight off the threats they face on a voyage filled with vengeance, betrayal and secrets.  The sci-fi series is based on the graphic novel of the same name.

Tonight we really get into the most spineless unnecessary actions the democrats have done in quite some time.  Shutting down the government and opening it with nothing in hand to negotiate with. also the numerous political shenanigans in one freakin week. including the deputy FBI director stepping down and a reckless memo the congress voted to release.

Dark and smooth, the Magnus Nox 2013 Merlot is part of an epic vintage with high praise from some of the most revered critics in wine.  Light sage and plum accents play off of the oak flavors in this well-balanced, silky Merlot.

Alicia and I was surprised by the attention this movie was getting and went to see this indie mockumentary about the Life of Tonya Harding.  We find a you girl in the middle of a class struggle, an abusive family  environment, and a failed marriage that made Tonya who she was at that time. Very interesting take on the situation.  I, Tonya is a 2017 American biographical black comedy film directed by Craig Gillespie and written by Steven Rogers. The film follows the life and career of figure skater Tonya Harding, with particular focus on her connection to the 1994 attack on Nancy Kerrigan, Harding's rival and Olympic teammate; it features interviews with the characters in mockumentary-style set in the modern day, as well as fourth wall breaking.  

Growing up New York's thus making us Spike Lee fans.  We were interested at seeing Spike's remake of his own iconic "She's gotta Have it".  We've seen a couple of Spike's last few movies so you can understand why we came to this Netflix series with questionable expectations.   Iconic filmmaker Spike Lee revisits his first feature film with this Netflix original series of the same name. We end the year with how spending  around this time is so stressful because of ignorance, obligations or just commitment. We kinda give some ideas when and why spending should be smart, strategic and needful.   Also the dumb commitment of New Years resolutions.  Is there a good way of following goals other than national holidays? We use our myth buster segement to relate to the Origins of New years resolutions from further back than most would imagine.

We went long on our last podcast episode of REPO, so we added this predictions podcast to a totally separate episode while adding in some weird opinions on what ever came to mind. UFO's, PBS and the sexual freaks on their network.

Alicia and I were moved to see this film on Netflix by the reviews and the Golden Globe nomination of Mary J. Blige.  An interesting movie we initially thought was a typical southern white family story aligned beside a southern black family in the 1940's. But this movie showed an amazing directorial process and interpretation of the book "Mudbound" by Hillary Jordan by Dee Rees.    Laura McAllan is trying to raise her children on her husband's Mississippi Delta farm, a place she finds foreign and frightening. In the midst of the family's struggles, two young men return from the war to work the land. Jamie McAllan, Laura's brother-in-law, is everything her husband is not - charming and handsome, but he is haunted by his memories of combat. Ronsel Jackson, eldest son of the black sharecroppers who live on the McAllan farm, now battles the prejudice in the Jim Crow South

The team returns just in time to discuss the Tax Bill that has signed into Law by the Trump.  We talk about the different changes and how we perceive the changes will effect us.   As three different perspectives gather their thoughts (single, married with child, married towards retirement) ​​​​​​​We split off and start talking about voting and why is it so hard for people to vote or vote against morality, ethics and morality.

On this first half of our music review, we go alternative, sideways, hiphop and whatever, when we take a listen to, two unique artist. We're talking J.I.D and Jaden Smith (will and Jada's son).  From creative approaches with their conceptual content to masterful production.  We start with Jaden smith  AKA Syre. Here's what we think.

This episode Alicia and I go to the matinee to watch the new DC release Justice league.  After enjoying the Wonder Woman movie and slightly looking forward to this release after the Superman vs. Batman.  we talk about the pros and cons of the movie despite the bad ratings and the low box office results.
