 Mother (Darren Aronofsky) 2017 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:19:00

So I sit down and watch this controversial movie on my own.  Because of the visceral reviews and back and forward opinions.  I knew Alicia would fall asleep on this one.  What I find is one of the most creative movies interpreted in a long time. A couple's relationship is tested when uninvited guests arrive at their home, disrupting their tranquil existence. From filmmaker Darren Aronofsky (Black Swan, Requiem for a Dream), mother! psychological thriller about love, devotion and sacrifice.

Marcus “the visual” Williams | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:10:13

On this podcast I sit down with a talented artist, illustrator and community activist Marcus "The Visual" Williams.  We discuss his independent comics and artwork and how he promotes it to children.  Also we Geek out about the new Marvel Cinematic Universe.   A long time lover of video games, comic art, and all things animated, I’ve dedicated my young artistic years to fine tuning my illustration muscles by way of freelancing. Over fifteen years later, I’m catching my stride and still ever growing in hopes of being a well rounded illustrator.Stationed in Atlanta Ga, I spend most of my time toiling away late nights on everything from illustrating children’s books, comic art, to random character commissions and more. A proud father of two, I somehow manage to steal enough time to create loads of artwork and check homework. I’m excited about the direction my comic properties are heading in, and I look forward to creating more forms of visual entertainment and stories to enjoy

 Nipsey Hussle & Cozz | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:47:00

We stay on the West Coast and grab hold of two new releases.  Both from L.A the area with styles that may seem similar but unique in a way to see how quality trumps style. Cozz being a Dreamville alum and Nipsey with Atlantic records.  Pretty interesting when you hear the features and production quality.

 Cassiday Blare 2016 Pinot Noir | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:08:43

This Cassiday Blare 2016 Pinot Noir, is a striking wine that will be an instant classic. Powerful, with notes of dark berries and plum, this wine is enjoyable to drink on its own, but it really shines with food. We’ve been enjoying it seasoned lamb and roasted asparagus that really brings out the earthiness of the Pinot Noir grapes. It retails for $30.

 Molly’s Game | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:38:35

The true story of Molly Bloom, a beautiful, young, Olympic-class skier who ran the world's most exclusive high-stakes poker game for a decade before being arrested in the middle of the night by 17 FBI agents wielding automatic weapons. Her players included Hollywood royalty, sports stars, business titans and finally, unbeknown to her, the Russian mob. Her only ally was her criminal defense lawyer Charlie Jaffey, who learned there was much more to Molly than the tabloids led people to believe.

Altered Carbon (Netflix) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:31:36

Alicia and I sit down and watch the 10 episode sci-fi series Altered Carbon which blew us away with the concept and new way of seeking immortality in the future.  Outstanding tech and visual sets.  This is one on the most interesting and controversial shows dropped on Netflix.   More than 300 years in the future, society has been transformed by new technology, leading to human bodies being interchangeable and death no longer being permanent. Takeshi Kovacs is the only surviving soldier of a group of elite interstellar warriors who were defeated in an uprising against the new world order. His mind was imprisoned for centuries until impossibly wealthy businessman Laurens Bancroft offers him the chance to live again. Bancroft's request of Kovacs is to solve a murder -- Bancroft's. "Altered Carbon" is based on Richard K. Morgan's cyberpunk noir novel of the same name

 The Post | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:47:45

For our round of Oscar nominated fits for this year.  We stop and go see The Post directed by Steven Spielberg.  You may or may not know but we know what to expect from a vanilla based, safe directing movie Spielberg always makes.  But based on the conditions of today we looked forward to seeing a nonfictional adaptation. The Post is a thrilling drama about the unlikely partnership between The Washington Post's Katharine Graham (Streep), the first female publisher of a major American newspaper, and editor Ben Bradlee (Hanks), as they race to catch up with The New York Times to expose a massive cover-up of government secrets that spanned three decades and four U.S. Presidents. The two must overcome their differences as they risk their careers - and their very freedom - to help bring long-buried truths to light

 Darkest Hour | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:21:16

This episode we sit down and watch the historic drama of Winston Churchill during miserly years as the Prime minister Of Great Britain.  So this is nothing that we didn't know about based on the many TV shows and the great movie Dunkirk by Christopher Nolan.  Here's our short review.    During the early days of World War II, with the fall of France imminent, Britain faces its darkest hour as the threat of invasion looms. As the seemingly unstoppable Nazi forces advance, and with the Allied army cornered on the beaches of Dunkirk, the fate of Western Europe hangs on the leadership of the newly-appointed British Prime Minister Winston Churchill (Academy Award nominee Gary Oldman). While maneuvering his political rivals, he must confront the ultimate choice: negotiate with Hitler and save the British people at a terrible cost or rally the nation and fight on against incredible odds.

Black Panther Movie (Marvel) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:52:06

Tonight Alicia and I go out on the premier night of the Black Panther Marvel Movie.  Sitting in the theater, it was a historic feeling and highly enjoyable experience.  Based on the reviews and the many trailers that showed half of the movie.  It was well worth it. T'Challa, after the death of his father, the King of Wakanda, returns home to the isolated, technologically advanced African nation to succeed to the throne and take his rightful place as king. While maintaining the the title of The Black Panther.

 Lady Bird | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:24:00

We started getting ready for the Oscars, Golden Globes, Peoples Choice, Screen Actors Guild and more by going through the projected nominees for these awards.  Alicia and I start to look at the potential winning movies and actors/actresses.  This madly outrageously overrated movie was something we thought we needed to see.  Its easy to describe this common coming to age movie because the premise is basically the same.  Soooo, we sit down to tell you our opinions about this....critically acclaimed movie.  Which was rated very high with Rotten tomatoes.  Marion McPherson, a California nurse, works tirelessly to keep her family afloat after her husband loses his job. She also maintains a turbulent bond with a teenage daughter who is just like her -- loving, strong-willed and deeply opinionated.
