It was curated by <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kendrick_Lamar">Kendrick Lamar</a>, and features a variety of collaborators, including many of Lamar's fellow artists signed to <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Top_Dawg_Entertainment">Top Dawg Entertainment</a>. It was released by <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Interscope_Records">Interscope Records</a> on February 9, 2018. <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ludwig_G%C3%B6ransson">Ludwig Göransson</a> composed the film's score</p>
