A wonderful and sadly sober chat with one of the best dog trainers i know! I'm very happy to say he is a friend of mine. He has 3 dogs in the Bird Dog Hall of fame and is one of the most legitimate bird hunters I know.

On a beautiful February weekend my buddy Zach came out to Sharp-tail Ridge for a few drinks, cigars, and story telling. We gibe him a ton of crap, most of it well deserved, but I'm happy to have him as a friend and a member of my hunting group. Thanks for listening!

Ok...Ill be honest...this one went off the rails a little bit somewhere between the 4th and 5th scotch. It was just way too much fun to turn the mic off. We talked about more old family stories, chasing birds, bird dogs, hunting with the wife, ghosts, and feuding with the locals. Cant wait to do this again next year after a day in the field.

Some family stories and a few drinks with family. Some of these family stories I've never even heard until today. This one was a god one and I cant wait to get back down here again next year to chase some birds with family.

On one of the coldest days this winter I figured I would answer some questions about planning a DIY bird hunt to North Dakota, talk about my new puppy, and give sage life advice...maybe not so much on the last one. Thanks for listening!

Hatchet Mike, Matt "The Beard of Knowledge" Schmidt, Clark Papineau, and first timer to the podcast Zach " Rookie" Hazuka sat down on Superbowl Sunday to tell some stories about our old bird dogs....Some that are here, some that are gone, and in Ace's case will only be here until tomorrow. He turned 15 last week and has been going down hill fast. No Tears were shed yet but they will come soon.

What to do on a cold Sunday in January? Clean the garage....sure! Put away all my hunting gear... sadly yes. Cook some kick ass chili...you bet! Record a podcast...Hell yes!

If you can imagine the Marlbro man, John Wayne, and the most interesting man in the world had a kid his name would be Warner Glenn. This man is 82 years old and can out work, out hunt, out ride any person my age that I know. We sat down at his ranch to tell stories about Mountain Lions, Jaguars, and hounds.

After a delicious dinner of desert Cotton-tail, fried rice, and salad at the Avenue Bed and Breakfast Me, Hatchet Mike, Havana Donny, and my Aunt Robin Brekhus sat down to go over our week of hunting in the desert and share some laughs.

After the first day of quail hunting after Donny got here we sat down with my Aunt Robin, Hatchet Mike, Havana Donny Hurlbut, and some other fun people including my favorite cousin. This one is worth a listen!

The night before leaving for the Quail killin of 2018 Hatchet Mike and myself sat down to go over what all goes into planning, packing, and traveling of a trip that brings 5 guys and 4 dogs plus gear half way across the country for a bird hunt during one of the coldest months of the year....Not as easy as I previously though.

The weather outside is Frightful no doubt! -45 below zero with wind chill, waterlines frozen, and its my birthday which happens to be Christmas Day and I figured id sit down and reminisce about the 2017 season and what I learned. This will most likely be the last Podcast of 2017 but I will be back with season 2 of the Birds, Booze, and Buds Podcast in 2018! Happy Holidays! Merry Christmas!
