Johnathan O'Dell is the small game biologist for the state of Arizona, and the man knows his shit! We go from Quail hunting to rabbits to waterfowl, to doves, to rattle snake and Javalina and everything in between. Sorry if I got a little preachy at the start of the podcast hopefully it wasn't too bad!

15 years ago Steve and myself went hunting Huns in North Western North Dakota. After seeing his two fine English Pointers locked up on point on a covey of Huns I was hooked. Steve's Dogs with some amazing pedigrees go back to the early 1970's. I was glad that we finally got some time to sit down with a wonderful guy and got to hear some fun dog stories.

No kidding I learned so much from this episode its crazy! Josh and I talked about American field trials, dog training, chucker hunting, and everything in between. Josh Is a professional dog trainer from Utah, is on the board of directors for the National Vizsla Association, chucker hunter and all around interesting dude. From Mearns Quail in the mountains of New Mexico to Chucker and Huns in Idaho, Wess Larabee and his dogs have tried it. Its not often that I'm jealous of another western bird hunter, but Wess has me a little envious. Cant wait to share a field with him this year.

This man is the reason that any of you have ever listened to me or this podcast. I'm very lucky to call him my friend and have shared the field with him and his dogs a few days over the last few years and look forward to many more.
