On this weeks show I am joined by R.J. Gross, Upland bird biologist for the North Dakota Game and Fish. We chatted about the different game bird in the state as well as a check in on how the nesting season was. Id call this an 80-85% positive report.... 2018 hunting season is only 25 days away for Doves and 31 days away from the kick off of Huns and Sharpies!

After a few days of conditioning dogs in the warm July weather and having several mixed drinks we sat down for some solid training advice .

I cant wait to swing through and chase quail with Grant this upcoming season! We chat about the abundance of Bobwhites in his area of the Kansas/ Nebraska state line area, His dogs, and some of what to look for when looking for good areas to hunt.

I was thankful that Jeff from the Nebraska Game and Fish was nice enough to come on the podcast ( a day earlier than planned) and talk about the birds and areas that his state has to offer. Not to give a spoiler or anything but it sounds like this might be a good year to go and hunt a few wild Bobwhites in Nebraska.

After several attempts Todd and I finally got our schedules toline up for a chat about his kennel, Windy Sage Pudelpointers, bird hunting, and all things Montana.
