Paul Allen had an immeasurable impact on the city of Seattle in a myriad of ways, not the least of which being his time as the owner of the Seahawks. Allen was a quiet man, but we can't forget the speech he gave at the 2014 Super Bowl Parade at CenturyLink Field. Mr. Allen built this team for success, not only for the past two decades, but for the future as well. We got so wrapped up in honoring Paul Allen that we missed Fact or Fiction. Not to fear, Softy makes his pick just a few minutes late. Let's not forget there was a monumentally important college football game over the weekend. Joel Klatt breaks it all down, and explains where the Pac-12 North stands going forward. Textimonials react to the passing of Paul Allen. Chris Petersen speaks after a difficult loss to the Ducks.
Softy is out again today and he's going to miss the game in Eugene as well. Dick Fain will take his place on the Honks, and Mike Gastineau joins Dick today on the show. There are a lot of storylines in tomorrow's game, but a win at Autzen, and a third win in a row against the Ducks, could cement Jake Browning's UW legacy. We give listeners an opportunity to sound off about their expectations tomorrow. Switching gears from Dawgs to Hawks, wide receiver David Moore talks about pushing past last week's loss to the Rams, preparing to play overseas, the reason he's seen more snaps, and more.
The final Fact or Fiction pick of the week is on the Falcons. A lot is made of the impact of jet lag on NFL players playing in London, but these guys are professionals, and it isn't going to mess with them much. Jerry Allen, voice of the Oregon Ducks talks about tomorrow's game against Washington from the Eugene perspective. Textimonials flood in at 49451 on the Dawgs and Ducks.
We collect all of the best sound clips from around sports and play them back on Fun with Audio. Longtime voice of the Huskies Bob Rondeau remembers some of his favorite Washington / Oregon rivalry games, and his prediction for tomorrow. There's been more controversy regarding Pac-12 officiating, and it's shedding light on bigger problems within the conference. Dick Fain talks to Aaron Fuller ahead of the big game in Eugene.
Dick Fain is live from the Central Bar and Restaurant in Bellevue eagerly awaiting a visit from Mike Holmgren in the 4:00 hour. Softy is out again, but hopefully should be back before this weekend's game in Eugene. Looking at that game, it's hard to know what to expect out of Oregon. They could easily be a 5-0 team, but their non-conference opponents were all pretty easy this year. Based on intangibles, they should win, but the Dawgs have the experience and the coaching. The question right now is, what is Oregon? The News Tribune's Gregg Bell made the trip to London to cover the Hawks. He talks about how he, and the team, are acclimating. Lee Sterling from Paramount Sports has his picks for the Dawgs and Ducks, the Hawks in England, and more.
Dick Fain continues from the Central Bar and Restaurant in Bellevue. Today's Fact or Fiction pick: Dick's going with the Pats -3. Mike Holmgren joins us every Thursday at 4:00 from the Central, and today is no exception. He breaks down the Hawks' play against LA, talks about the oddities of playing overseas, and more. Chris Petersen speaks to the media ahead of the big rivalry game in Eugene.
Dick Fain flies solo today as Softy is out sick. You know it's bad because Softy rarely takes sick days. Hugh Millen takes an in depth look at the Huskies ahead of a big rivalry game against the Ducks, and the Hawks as they prepare to play overseas. Bush Hamdan, UW offensive coordinator talks about what happened in last weekend's game, and prepares for the Oregon defense.
Dick gets to make an extra pick on Fact or Fiction. The Seahawks may only be 2-3 but there aren't a ton of standout teams in the NFC this year. It may only take 9-7 to get them there. One key piece to them reaching 9-7 is Chris Carson who talks with Dick from the VMAC. Petros Papadakis has never had a chance to speak with Dick Fain, but with Softy out, the two finally meet. Petros gives his take on the Border War. Textimonials react to the first two hours of the show.
Rick Neuheisel remembers the Washington vs. Oregon rivalry games from his time coaching at UW. He breaks down this weekend's matchup. Westwood One's Kevin Harlan re-visits the Seahawks vs. Rams game, discusses the greatness of Drew Brees, and more. Drew Sample explains how playing tough away games early in the season prepped him for playing in Eugene. It's an extra long show with the Dawgman guys. We find out what they have in store.

It's Dick's pick on Fact or Fiction, and he can't figure out why the line is where it is on the Cleveland / Chargers game. There's two big games this weekend, or at least there's one big game, and a game we feel like we're supposed to care about but don't. The Washington/Oregon rivalry is heating back up and there's no question this game is huge. This is the last big hurdle facing the Dawgs in their quest to take the Pac-12. The Hawks game on the other hand, are playing in London on Sunday, and as much as London games are being hyped, it's hard to get too excited about playing the Raiders. So how will the Dawgs perform against Oregon? The San Jose Mercury News' Jon Wilner has some thoughts on that, and how the Pac-12 Championship and college football playoffs will play out. Listeners continue to react to the expectations of the UW/Oregon game.
ProFootballTalk's Mike Florio has given up on the Seahawks winning the NFC West (but so has virtually everyone). He still believes the team's got a shot at the wild card though. He talks about the state of the Hwks and all things NFL. Former Seahawks Walter Jones weighs in on the performance of the offensive line, the team playing in London, his feelings on Marshawn, and more. Brian Schmetzer, Sounders head coach talks about the win last night despite some missing pieces. It's Tuesdays with ........Lance Lopes, director of the Oak View Group in place of Tod Leiweke this week, laying out the plans for the new Northgate NHL training facility.
The Seahawks fell to the Rams 33-31 yesterday, but it wasn't all bad. In fact, there were a ton of positives from yesterday's game. The O-line changes appear to have made a huge impact. Tyler Lockett is definitely not playing like a run-of-the-mill receiver. After the loss, the division seems out of reach, but the wild card is still very much in play. Next week the Hawks play the Raiders, who should theoretically be an easy team to beat, but the game is in London so all bets are off.
Softy and Dick continue live from the Emerald Queen Casino. Softy liked Penn State minus the points when he thought they were a road team, he likes them even more as a home team. There's a lot of discussion about the timeout called late in the game. Was it the right call, or not? Joel Klatt joins the show each week at 4:20 to talk about all things college football. This week, the Dawgs vs. Ducks and what impact it'll have on their playoff chances, the idea of an undefeated UCF team making the Final 4, and more. Textimonials react to the Hawks and Dawgs games this weekend.
Monday Night Football is about to get under way and we're watching it here at the Emerald Queen Casino. BBK said after Saturday's game that it was the most exhausted he has ever been during a game. Is this a sign of things to come? Are we about to get oumatched in Eugene? Probably not. It was one game, and there are a number of factors that could have contributed. We've spent a lot of time today celebrating the positives from the Seahawks game despite the loss. This is the opposite of what's happened in the past, where we complain about everything despite a win. Is it acceptable, or should we be harder on the team? One thing that we haven't spent much time on yet is Frank Clark, who played amazingly despite having food poisoning. He's been proving that the Hawks need to re-sign him, although maybe wait a little longer since he's still hungry. Chris Petersen spoke to the media today. Is this really just another week for the Huskies?
