We still can't understand why so many Sonics fans are so opposed to this exhibition game. Andrew Brandt preps us for The Combine which begins later this week. The NFL is looking at potentially changing the penalty for defensive pass interference from a spot foul to a 15-yard penalty Softy gives his thoughts on the possible change, and other changes he'd like to see happen.
Tim Booth of the Associated Press updates us on the status of Felix Hernandez after he was hit by a line drive yesterday. LeBron James is the latest to say that college athletes need another option, but they have other options. They can play in Europe, they can sit out for a year. Textimonials react to the idea of athletes having to play college sports before going pro, and the proposed NFL rule changes.
Brad Allis of AllSportsTucson.com talks about Sean Miller's role in the NCAA scandal, and if it could mean Lorenzo Romar is the head coach of the Wildcats very soon. Jeff Cameron of 97.9 ESPN Tallahassee fills us in on Derwin James, a player many experts predict the Hawks will grab in the draft. On SHOT! or NO SHOT!: Is there a chance the M's sign one of the top three available starting pitchers before the season begins? It's been six years sice we've held a rally, and almost ten years since the Sonics left Seattle. Isn't this the perfect opportunity to bring out the kids who have never known pro basketball in Seattle and get them excited about the possibility? This is how Oklahoma City got their team in the first place. They got a taste of the NBA when they were New Orleans' temporary home, and they proved they deserved a team.
Softy recaps all of the sports stories that came up while he was in Hawaii. This exhibition game is the first opportunity Sonics fans have had in almost six years to rally for the return of the team. We need something to energize us, and this game could be what we need. Softy asks listeners "Are you in or are you out?" Aaron Torres of Fox Sports discusses the NCAA basketball scandal and whether Mike Hopkins could be Coach of the Year.
The Chiefs traded Marcus Peters for a second and fourth picks. If this is the going rate right now in the NFL, what does that mean for the Seahawks if they're trying to deal Sherman and Thomas. SI legal analyst Mike McCann tells us whether Husky fans should be worried about the college basketball scandal. Textimonials are still not loving the idea of the NBA exhibition game.

More names have come out in the FBI investigation of college basketball including former Husky Markelle Fultz who allegedly received a $10,000 loan from his agent. The Seahawks have announced even more coaching changes, going for a coaching clean slate. The Rams acquired Marcus Peters, which means they're going to be better in 2018, assuming Peters can stay out of trouble. Russell Wilson is on his way to Yankees Spring Training for the next few days. Can we just make sure he doesn't get hurt?

Pete Carroll and John Schneider are holding press conferences late next week. If you could ask them each one question, what would it be?
Obviously we're still angry about the way the NBA treated this city ten years ago, but if there's even a slight possibility that a strong showing at this exhibition game helps bring back the Sonics, we need to do everything we can to make it happen. Let's be bigger than the hate if for no other reason than we have no choice. The decision on Paxton vs. Felix starting Opening Day really needs to be made soon to prevent this debate from growing. Paxton is the better player right now, so it should probably be him, but either way it isn't going to make that big of a difference. Rick Pitino wants Louisville to sue the NCAA, even as Louisville is being investigated by the FBI for a completely separate issue. Pitino should probably stop talking.
Carmichael Dave of 1140 KHTK gives a Sacramento perspective on the possible Kings/Warriors exhibition game. Art Thiel of SportsPressNW says that he believes the game is an empty gesture by the NBA after all of the wrongs of the past ten years. Textimonials won't swallow their pride to appease the NBA.

The bigger question is if the M's would even have a chance of getting Arrieta. Is there any chance the old Sonics court could get used for this Warriors/Kings game in Seattle? We discuss on SHOT! or NO SHOT! The NBA is looking at changing it's playoff format, and the changes might not be so bad.
Terry Blount is in once again for Softy, and Shockey returns today, just in time to discuss the big story breaking this afternoon. It looks like the NBA is exploring holding an exhibition game between the Warriors and the Kings this October. The backlash from Sonics fans has been intense as many are bitter about the idea of having to see the team they almost had play a game in Seattle. This game however, is probably the best way to prove to the NBA that Seattle still deserves a team.
