The rich get richer as the Patriots trade Brandin Cooks to the Rams for draft picks. Evidently, if you yell "Dilly Dilly" at The Masters, you're going to get kicked out. Was this really going to be a problem? ASU's new coach Herm Edwards says if players don't meet their standards, he'll cut them from the team. Is this that different than just putting them on fourth string? Could it make some players rule out ASU?
In light of recent events, KJR has asked Softy to read a prepared statement. Jason Hamilton breaks down last night's National Championship game, and discusses Noah Dickerson declaring for the draft. Textimonials tell us whether the Hawks should pick up Gronk.
The Mariners played an early game in San Francisco, and beat the Giants 6-4. Yes, it's obviously too early to celebrate, but did you think they'd be doing this well, especially without Cruz and Zunino? Dee Gordon joins us to discuss his first homer of the season, and how the team is performing despite injuries to some key guys. LaVar Ball is starting his own developmental basketball league and he's coming to Bellevue. Should we try to get him on the show? Got a crazy sports prediction? Text it to 49451 and we'll tell you if it really is crazy, or if maybe you're brilliant on SHOT! or NO SHOT! Softy and Dick Fain make their predictions for the 2018 Masters Tournament.
Today's show is shortened because of our coverage of the Michigan/Villanova game. The M's went 2-1 this weekend against one of the better teams in the American League. Ichiro surprised a lot of people by not being terrible, and Haniger looked outstanding. It wasn't all good though. Is it too early to be worried about Paxton, or will he be fine? The NCAA Championship game is tonight. Is there anything Michigan can do to win this game, or at the very least cover the spread? The Wildcats seem unstoppable. Why is the Final Four a much bigger deal than other sports' playoff events that aren't actually the championship? Have you seen the Vegas odds on the Hawks winning the Super Bowl? Most places have them at 26-to-1 but some are claiming they're as high as 60-to-1. ROOT sports: Bill Krueger joins us to discuss Paxton, Cruz, and everything M's after Opening Weekend
Another Seahawk is gone as the Hawks lose Thomas Rawls to the Jets, but did they really lose him if they weren't trying to find him in the first place? The M's win last night, and Felix looked okay, so now the question is, do we pay him when his contract is up? It would be hard to see him with another team. Dick Fain and Donald Watts speak to Syracuse head coach Jim Boeheim from the Final Four in San Antonio.
Thom Beuning, the voice of the Seattle Thunderbrds, sets up tonight's playoff game vs. the Everett Silvertips as we ccontinue to broadcast live from the Accesso Showare Center in Kent. Bill Krueger of Root Sports gives us reason to be optimistic about the Mariners this season. KJR's new morning show host Chuck Powell, our own baseball insider, talks about the upcoming season.
Lou Piniella was supposed to join us at the top of the hour, but we're unable to reach him, so we ask you, what is Loud Piniella doing right now? Breaking news: Mike Zunino has been pulled from tonight's lineup. It's not believed to be anything serious, but this is how those things always start. Textimonials give us more suggestions on what Lou Piniella might be doing, and other thoughts on the M's. We talk to Bret Boone about Opening Day, and the return of Ichiro to Seattle. We take a look around Major League Baseball as our Opening Day broadcast live from Jimmy's on First concludes.
Opening Day is tomorrow, and most Mariners fans have pretty much already dismissed the team, but why? This isn't the same team that has missed the playoffs for the past 16 years. Dipoto is still undoing what was done before he got here. Maybe we should at least give the team a shot before assuming they'll let us down. Aside from winning, is there anything the team can do to get you to go to more games? Does the fan experience mean that much to you? What about giveaway games? Huskies RB Myles Gaskin speaks to Softy for a few minutes about coming back to UW for another season, what the part of his game he hopes to improve most.
Softy says Hugh Millen told him the biggest story from the first day of Spring Football was the absence of Daniel Bridge-Gadd, but is that really the biggest story? Yeah, we won't have any backup quarterback with experience, but he didn't have any in-game experience either. Petros Papadakis talks to Softy about all things Pac-12 football. Textimonials weigh in on the plight of the Mariners.
The Atlantic Seattle's Corey Brock takes a look at the M's' roster with Opening Day just one day away. At the first day of UW Spring Football, Chris Petersen held a press conference, and we have the highlights.

It's time to have that conversation again, you know the one, the one about Kaepernick. Should we sign him now as a backup? Would he be too much of a distraction? Former Seahawk Michael Bennett is in trouble for something that happened in Houston.... 14 months ago? Bennett might be to blame, but the handling of the situation by the Houston Police is a little odd. Rhea Hughes of 94 WIP in Philadelphia joins us to discuss the Michael Bennett situation, and Markelle Fultz.
The M's have reportedly signed 38-year-old Jayson Werth. Just like with Ichiro, this demonstrates how shallow the M's' outfield depth is. UW basketball color analyst Jason Hamilton talks about Carlos Johnson transferring, and how the team will look next season. He also makes his Final Four picks after going 6-2 with last week's Sweet Sixteen picks. Textimonials weigh in on a theoretical Kaepernick signing by the Hawks.
