Softy and Dick H1 - The NFL hasn't ended the anthem conversation / Mariners winning streak ends / Doug Baldwin isn't pleased | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2524

The reactions to the NFL's anthem decision continue to roll in today. One thing is clear; if the NFL thought their decision would put an end to the debate, they were wrong. The Mariners played a day game in Oakland, and they lost 4-3, putting an end to the five game winning streak. Felix got beaten up in the first inning, but settled down after that. That's pretty common with him lately. Doug Baldwin isn't pleased with the NFL's decision on the anthem protests. He also had some strong (albeit unsurprising) words about the president.

Softy and Dick H2 - Ross Tucker on the NFL / John Stanton on the M's, and the team's new lease / Takeaways from the Stanton interview | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2538

Ross Tucker, currently with Westwood One, and former NFL offensive lineman weighs in on the league's anthem protest decision, and we even talk a little actual football. Mariners owner John Stanton joins the show to talk about the team's new deal that will keep them at Safeco Field for the next 25 years. We find out just how driven he is to win. After the interview, we talk about what we've learned about John Stanton as an owner from the interview.

Softy hosts a round table discussion on the NFL's recent decision regarding players kneeling during the National Anthem. We open up Softy and Dick's Sportsbook before tonight's Eastern Conference Finals game between the Cavaliers and the Celtics.

Softy and Dick H1 - Mariners do it again! / The NFL makes a decision regarding the anthem protests | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2340

The M's do it again last night, beating the A's 3-2. With Cano and Gordon out, the fact that they can keep winning, regardless of the opponent, is incredibly impressive. The NFL made a decision on the National Anthem protests; a decision that seemingly won't make anyone happy. Players don't have to stand for the anthem, but they'll have to stay in the locker room until it ends. Anyone who kneels will earn a fine for their team. Softy reacts, and we take listeners' reactions on the latest aspect of the never-ending controversy.

Softy and Dick H2 - Listeners react to the NFL decision / Petros Papadakis on the Dawgs / Textimonials / Dan O'Dowd on the M's / Sportsbook | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 3497

Listeners continue to react to the controversial decision today that says players don't have to stand for the anthem, but they can't kneel. Petros Papadakis says the National Anthem doesn't need to be played at NFL games period, and the Huskies are the Pac-12's only hope. Both sides continue to weigh in on the NFL's decision on Textimonials. Dan O'Dowd of the MLB Network and former GM of the Rockies discusses the current state of the Mariners amidst Cano's suspension and now Dee Gordon's injury. We once again take your picks for tonight's Eastern Conference Finals game in Softy and Dick's Sportsbook.

Softy and Dick H1 - Dee Gordon on the DL / Mariners: Sink or swim? / Heather Tarr on UW Softball | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2401

The baseball gods just can't seem to let the Mariners stay healthy. Now, Dee Gordon is on the 10-day DL with a big toe injury. The Mariners are 27-19 right now, but Cano's out for half the season, and Gordon's now out for a couple weeks. At this point in the season, do you think the M's will sink or swim. UW softball coach Heather Tarr joins the show to talk about the team's success as they head to the Super Regionals to face the Alabama Crimson Tide this weekend.

Softy and Dick H2 - Dick's beef with Chuck Powell / Sob stories for Taylor Swift tickets / Textimonials | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2411

Dick is upset with Chuck Powell for statements he made on the morning show this morning. Chuck believes there's no way the Hawks can let Earl Thomas play out his last year. Does Chuck really think Earl is going to become a distraction? He's going to play as hard as he can to prove he deserves the best deal possible. We've got a pair of Taylor Swift tickets to give away courtesy of Venue Kings. We take your best sob stories and award a winner. Textimonials weigh in on the best course of action for Earl Thomas.

Softy and Dick H3 - Ed Dickson on joining the Hawks / Hey, Did You Hear That? / Sportsbook | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2232

The Seahawks' new tight end Ed Dickson is on the program discussing his move to the Seahawks, the respect he's had for this team, and the tight end situation this season. On Hey, Did You Hear That?: Russell Wilson's alter ego, LeBron looks into his crystal ball, and Marcus Peters says pay Aaron Donald. Even after yesterday's debacle, we decide to try another round of Softy and Dick's Sportsbook before game 4 of the NBA Western Conference Finals.

Softy and Dick H1 - Seahawks OTA's begin without Earl Thomas / Do you trust the offense or defense more? / Crap you missed this weekend | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2405

Seahawks voluntary OTA's have begun, and Earl Thomas isn't there, and everyone's freaking out, but it shouldn't be that surprising. He doesn't have a deal yet and it seems like the Hawks aren't pushing to get a deal done. With the team losing a lot of pro bowlers, the question is, at this point, who do you trust more; the offense or the defense? The slight edge might actually go to the offense, and on this Seahawks team, that comes as a pretty big shift because there's no way anyone would have said that for the past five or six seasons. It was a crazy weekend in sports, so we recap some crap you might have missed this weekend: Justify wins the Preakness, Golden Knights are in the Stanley Cup finals, UW softball playing in the Super Regionals against Alabama this weekend, Manziel will play for the Hamilton Tiger Cats and host his own podcast on Barstool Sports.

Softy and Dick H2 - M's are resilient / Bill Krueger on the Mariners / Textimonials / Hey, Did You Hear That? / Sportsbook | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 3419

The Mariners may have nearly given everyone a heart attack all weekend long, but the important thing is they came back to win all three games. It's hard to imagine the Mariners of a few years ago summoning the strength to make a comeback, but this is a different team. Felix continues to put up numbers that aren't impressive, but the team is still winning when he's out there, and that's what matters. After a crazy baseball weekend following a strange week, Bill Krueger makes his weekly appearance to discuss the M's. Textimonials react to Earl Thomas and his absence at OTA's. On Hey, Did You Hear That?: Charles Barkley wants to know why Draymond is annoying, Jordan Hicks throws 105 mph, T.O. says Jason Garrett shouldn't have a job, Klay Thompson on Steph Curry swearing, Timberwolves announcer goes crazy. The Softy and Dick sportsbook is now open. You put up nothing, and we give you everything.

Softy H1 - Softy is disappointed in Cano / Teixeira is "not surprised" about Cano / Ryan Cook on returning to the Big Leagues after injuries | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2381

It's been a few days now, and the more time passes, the more Softy is angry at Robinson Cano. He put the Mariners in a tough spot and it was completely unnecessary. Cano's former teammate Mark Teixeira was on the radio in New York and he basically threw him under the bus, saying he was "not surprised" that Cano had been juicing. The M's lost last night, but they brought up a pitcher who looked solid in his first appearance after battling with repeated injuries for the last couple of seasons. Ryan Cook joins the show to talk about his battle with injuries and his return to the Big Leagues.

Softy H2 - Daryl Ruiter on the likelihood of a Cavs comeback / Corey Brock on the future at 2nd base / Textimonials | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2333

We've seen it before, could we see it again? The cavaliers are down 2-0 against Boston. Could they still come from behind to win the series? we talk to Daryl Ruiter at 92.3 The Fan in Cleveland and get his thoughts on a Cleveland comeback. Corey Brock from The Athletic from The Athletic joins us to discuss a crazy week in Mariners baseball. With Cano out, Dee Gordon's going to be headed back to second base, but what happens at that position in August when Robbie comes off the suspension? Textimonials are still coming in strong on Robinson Cano. Should we be upset? Should we care that a player is using PED's?

Softy H3 - Jerry Dipoto on the M's' roster / Rick Neuheisel on coaching in the AAF / Matt Maiocco on Sherman and Foster / Pre-Game Show | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 3167

Mariners GM Jerry Dipoto joins the show after a crazy week to talk about the team's roster during and after the Cano suspension. Are they looking to add more pieces? What are they looking for, and for how long? Rick Neuheisel has been named the coach of the Phoenix team in the new Alliance of American Football. He joins the show to tell us about the new league. Matt Maiocco updates us on how Richard Sherman's been settling in to his new home in San Francisco, and gives us the latest on the Reuben Foster story. Baseball's Best Pre-Game Show is on the air. Can Felix recover from a slough of unsatisfactory starts? We get you ready for tonight's game.

Softy H1 - Live from The Angry Beaver / Would you let Cano go? / JT the Brick on Robinson Cano / Reuben Foster's accuser changes her story | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2353

We are live from The Angry Beaver in Greenwood, ready to watch some playoff hockey tonight. Robbie Cano has a lot of money left on his contract, and no one knows how he'll play now that he'll be off steroids. If the Yankees, or any other team for that matter, were willing to take him now, freeing the team of his contract, would you let him go? Fox Sports Radio's JT the Brick says he'd have him back on the Yankees in a heartbeat, even despite his advanced age and the current suspension. Reuben Foster's accuser has now completely taken back her story after accusing him of domestic violence. She says she was trying to ruin him. We've all been so skeptical of everything we hear these days that it is hard to believe anything we hear, but it seems like if she was being paid off to keep quiet, she'd actually keep quiet rather than making a public statement like this. The entire situation is just odd.

Softy H2 - Desiree Linden on winning the Boston Marathon / Chuck Powell on Cano and the Mariners / Textimonials | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2505

Long-distance runner Desiree Linden joins us at The Angry Beaver in Greenwood to talk about being the first American to win the Boston Marathon in over three decades. Chuck Powell from The Chuck and Buck Morning Show also joins us live on location to talk in-depth about Robinson Cano and the Mariners. Textimonials mostly seem ready to let another team take Cano off the M's' hands.
