I'm going to give you a heads up on something we're going to do tomorrow. Since you're Premium Members, we're going to give you a sneak preview.
Presidents' Day-we don't teach history in public schools anymore, "we" being the country, so people don't know anything. But let me give you my rundown of the presidents so you might know a bit more about them.
I liked that press conference today. I liked it because I'm not in a rooting mode, but because I know the press is so nasty and so bad, I'm not sympathetic to them.
I'm not sure about this General Flynn story, whether it dies this week or not. Unless there's no hard news that can add to what everybody already knows, it should go away. But you never know, maybe something crazy will happen.
So Flynn resigns. Does that affect your life? No. Does it indicate something wrong with the Trump administration? Possibly. Does that affect your life? Yes.
So a very unreported story is the immigration raids, and it was reported hysterically over the weekend, as we laid out in the Talking Points Memo with all the facts.
We did a story tonight about the biggest threats to the USA. Now, you've got to put aside Al-Qaeda and nukes, that's obvious. Ok, so we know that. But what are the situations that are threatening to us that we don't see, it's not so obvious.
So the Trump interview is over and I'm kind of glad it's over. It was a big hit worldwide and all that, but I think we got every living second out of thirty-six minutes we could possibly get, so enough is enough, right?
I thought Trump was pretty straightforward. The Putin thing was the Putin thing. It's not my job to correct him or to persuade him one way or the other when I'm doing a hard news interview, which is what it was.
So Donald Trump on a tear-not only is he building the wall, going after sanctuary cities, but it looks like tomorrow, it was supposed to be today but they postponed it, there will be a big immigration executive order.
Pretty impressive first week though, I would say that. I mean, the man is really knocking down as many campaign promises as he can, and whether you like him or not, he's a serious guy.
That's' why our rating are big, because we don't play that game. We don't play the "gotcha, Trump" game. There was no "gotcha, Obama" game in the mainstream media.
I'm in a unique position here. I know Trump, I know how he works. I don't know a lot of his cabinet people. I'm watching them like you are.
Over the weekend there's supposed to be some marches, but right now it's a pretty clean city. Not a lot of angst.
Let me give you a preview of what we're going to do tomorrow and on Friday. I think we have a pretty interesting format.
