Water Ski Wonder Shellie Blum Returns To Madame Perry's Salon. Blum's visit on December 6 barely gave us time to cover her fantastic life as told in her book Waterski Girl Wonder. The downloads of that episode in the first week after the interview confirmed this lady's popularity and love from her fans.Shellie Blum grew up in a family of swimmers and water sports enthusiasts. The water ski girI wonder was practicing her back-flip in March 1989 when she became the first female water-ski pro to be dragged by the neck through the water at 36 mph. In 1975 Darryl Rhoades formed the now legendary Hahavishnu Orchestra, a twelve piece musical comedy troupe that traveled nationally until June of 1978. Rhoades and band received critical acclaim from Rolling Stone, Playboy, Village Voice and too many other magazines to list. Rolling Stone/MTV critic Kurt Loder proclaimed Rhoades "one of the most savagely gifted writer/performers in the country today".  During the existence of the band several songs were recorded but only one record was released...."BURGERS FROM HEAVEN/SURFIN' SHARK", a very rare 45 RPM. In 1979 The Outlaws covered Rhoades' "The Lights Are On (But Nobody's Home). In 1980 Rhoades released his critically acclaimed first LP, "BURGERS FROM HEAVEN". The title song was used in Jim Varney's movie "FASTFOOD". In 1989 Rhoades started touring as a standup comic/one man show working 45 to50 weeks a year in the U.S., Canada, and the Caribbean Islands plus getting airplay from syndicated radio shows such as THE DR. DEMENTO SHOW & THE JOHN BOY & BILLY BIG SHOW  In 2008 he appeared in the film, "Crazy Heart", with Jeff Bridges, Robert Duvall, Maggie Gyllenhaal and Colin Farrell. Crazy Heart is scheduled for release in 2009.
