Musician James Kottak Visits Madame Perry's Salon Kentucky born musician James Kottak may be best known as the drummer for Montrose, Warrant and German Hard Rock/Heavy Metal band Scorpions, or playing guitar and fronting the band Kottak in which his former wife Athena Bass played drums.

Dr. Karen Head visits to talk about  Disrupt This! MOOCs and the Promises of Technology her new book on higher education and technology. Peter G is a card-carrying Renaissance man. When he's not working his office job, he is either making his own computer games or creating stories. A comic book fan since the black and white boom, Peter G's first officially published credit came in the Morbid Myths 2007 Halloween Special. Since then, his comic output has included dark superheroes (The Supremacy), an online comic strip about the office environment (Stress Puppy), an existential fantas series (Head Above Water), and his first all-ages comic about a little girl who becomes friends with a mermaid (Sound Waves). He lives in Illinois where he spends most of his time complaining about politics and watching movies.

  Phan is a prolific poet, songwriter, and guitarist, with the soul of an improviser.  He crafts his songs to give room for improvisation, presence, and self-expression in the moment.  Elle magazine calls Lita Ford “one of the greatest female electric guitar players to ever pick up the instrument." Guitar World magazine hails her as a 'legendary metal icon," and in 2014 when Guitar Player inducted her into their hall of fame of guitar greats they declared “She is as badass as ever.”  British-born Ford is an American rock guitarist, actress, vocalist and songwriter who was the lead guitarist for The Runaways in the late 1970s before embarking on a solo career in the 1980s. Her fourth solo album "Lita" (1988) went platinum, and Guitar magazine voted her Best Female Guitarist (1989). Ford's memoir, "Living Like a Runaway," shares details of Lita’s dramatic personal story. Life as a woman in the male-dominated rock scene was never easy, a constant battle with the music establishment. After a dramatic and emotional personal odyssey, Lita picked up her guitar and stormed back to the stage.  The introduction was written by her good friend Dee Snider, with whom she has frequently shared a concert-stage; for this reason, and to Lita's delight, fans have affectionately nicknamed her "Twisted Sister's Twisted Sister."  Ford is currently on tour in the US and the crowds are showing up and showing the love!      

Michael Fleeman returns with his hot new book The Black Widower! From Aiken, South Carolina, born and raised, Vilai Harrington has influences from his Polynesian ancestors and his down south kin folk. This combination of ukulele and folk style banjo brings a unique and down to earth sound. Harrington cites, among many others, Hank Williams, Sam Cooke, and Three Dog Night as influencers in a sound genre he defines as a combination of Sand Hill Rag/Americana/Country. Comic and professional  emcee Julie Herridge Sharpe visits Madame Perry's Salon. Sharpe is an actress, corporate emcee, and comedian beloved for her outrageous characters who works 'around the room' in venues where she actually goes around the room interacting with as many patrons as possible making them part of her riotous show! A passionate wildlife advocate, Julie started travelling the globe together where she and actor husband Anthony filmed a TV pilot called ‘The Volunteer Diaries,' following paths less travelled into jungles and various other places like animal rescue centres, including filming with the elephants in northern Thailand and the orangutans of Borneo. Anthony and Julie created a thought provoking production on what is now known as “voluntourism."
