Reeling from recent events Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll rather than Wolf as we say in the episode sorry!) has difficulty sleeping and turns to the bottle leading to an encounter with Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio). Meanwhile Vanessa (Ayelet Zurer) recovers in hospital from the attack at Fisk’s benefit and Fisk commits to make those responsible pay. Two Defenders, John and Derek, chat about our top moments from Daredevil Stick Episode 7 of the Netflix TV series in the eleventh episode of Defenders TV Podcast. This time we are introduced to the trainer of Daredevil Stick (Scott Glenn) as he teaches young Matt Murdock (Skylar Gaertner) about his abilities and why he should be happy with his lot in life. Stick returns to Hell’s Kitchen to recruit his weapon, a now fully grown Matt, to his cause against a new threat and foe that is being imported in to New York by the Japanese from the Far East. However, the relationship between Stick and Matt is still as uncompromising and obstinate as ever as both men clash on how to deploy their skills against this new foe. Ben Urich and Karen Page continue their research in to Union Allied construction as they investigate possible links to the Hells Kitchen tenement dispute with Mr Tully. They also recruit a new member to their investigative team as Foggy Nelson (Elden Henson) joins them in their pursuit of Union Allied. We also discuss the mystical elements introduced in to this episode of Daredevil and their potential links to other mystical Marvel heroes, including the Iron Fist.
