What’s the man’s point? He isn’t hard to find, so George confronts him. He is upset about his wife, Irene, who died in a fire in one of the apartment buildings. The man wants to torment the lady for not taking care of her buildings, but is he responsible for recent fires? It sounds like a simple job for George, but is it really? George considers the question of who is there that might benefit from the recent fires, besides the crazy little man? Whhen the real bad guy sees that George isn’t being distracted, George and Brooksie find themselves in danger. George ttries to get help from the cops, but nobody believes him. Finally, he has to do his own stake out to catch the arsonist.

Twists in the mystery are examined, and unfurled as Holmes tracks down all the clues. Do you have it figured out yet? The answer will be presented by Holmes, in all it’s splendor and glory. The trail leads to a gypsy fortune teller named Ruby, the business end of a gun, but Ben slips out of Marlowe’s hands once again. Ruby comes clean with what she knows, but Marlowe is still a step behind. A break lands in Marlowe’s lap when he checks in with the coroner. The clues explode for Marlowe, and he has to act fast to get to his killer quick.

On a fishing trip, at a little country inn, Holmes and Watson enjoy giving their minds a rest from crime fighting. They meet a pretty young girl, a young diplomat, and a pair of annoying canaries who are the target of murder by more than one person. When the owner of the birds recognizes Holmes as the man who put him away for a crime years ago, he plans to be the first to act. From behind closed doors, there’s a murder confession, and a gunshot, but who was killed and why? The girl is gone, as is the diplomat. Their connections are easy for Holmes to determine, but the confused Watson thinks the matter is still a mystery. Was the confession meant as a suicide? Where is the body? Holmes knows, but first he has to lay a small trap to expose the killer, and reveal how it was done.

Visiting the prison, Philip meets the worden. William Arthur Senero is to be put to death, and Marlowe is on hand for one last visit with his friend from the streets. Its the warden’s job to follow the red tape, and procedures, but it doesn’t mean he isn’t on the kids side. Details of the crime are recounted to Philip. Will getting the jewels back to their rightful owner set Billy free? Maybe not, but he wants to set things right on that score. Philip hits the streets with plenty to go on. Shady characters, dames, and dead bodies litter the trail for Marlowe. Who has the jewels, or knows where they are? Finding out could turn into a deadly game. Its off to the water front where the guns come out. The tables turn for Marlowe at the pistol point of the dame. Taking advantage of a crash course for disaster, Philip solves the mystery, even if there’s little hope for Billy, his last moments can be in knowing he did something right.

Candy runs into her friend, police detective Ray Mallard on the movie set that is getting ready to shoot on location near her house. Take an audio glimpse behind the scenes of the movie set. In a moment of down time, a movie prop turns out to be a real live dead body. It turns out to be one of the movie extras. Candy has to fend off the advances of the movie director as she is offered a part in the film. Enter a jealous movie starlet who jumps to the wrong idea about Candy and the director. Things get more complicated wen the film director also shows up dead. Actually, with the cast members in the show being reduced, the remaining number of folks to suspect is narrowing down. But that’s no fun way to think. Besides figuring out who the killer is, what was their motive? How are the deaths connected? The extra hasnt been identified yet. As Candy pokes around, she digs up more details to try to uncover the motive, and who had the opportunity. In the process, Ray Mallard gets just a little jealous of canddy, but this is no time to let emotions seep in. Before things get better, there’s plenty of suspenseful and tense moments. The killer is found out,but the horrors don’t stop. At the end, Candy explains it all. A twisted tale of jealousy, blackmail, and lost love. And oh yeah, Candy makes up with Mallard and sacrifices herself in the name of love when she agrees to sit through one of those crazy, corny, western movies that Mallard is so fond of and she absolutely hates.

Money troubles plague Richard Diamond and he tells how it all started with a seance. Of course it’s a scam, isn’t it always? There’s no law that prevents people from believing what they like, or in spending their hard earned money on what ever pursuits they like. However, a young woman who stands to inherit her aunts money, hires Dick Diamond to do what he can to put a stop to pouring more of her inheritance into the seance scam. Richard sets up his own little scam to catch the scammers, but first a little romance with his favorite red head, Hellen. The harmless scam gets serious when a body makes an appearance in the scene. Aunt Van Dyke is dead, but is it because the seance scammers were upset at losing a prime source of cash flow? Who stands to inherit the estate, and the Van Dyke jewels? Richard gets a thump on the head for his efforts, and he wakes up to find his suspect dead. Bullets fly, but the truth is revealed. Dick is hot on the heels of the real killer, and it shouldn’t be too big of a surprise. He explains how he put the clues together, then spends an evening of romance and crooning with Hellen.

Where will the trail lead as Holmes and Watson wade through the boarding house of singers and entertainers? Do the clues point to a woman, or a man? Audio is excellent. At a time in the evening when good married men are turning in, a young woman calls on Dr Watson to examine an injured man. Since the man with the head injury is dead, there isn’t much for Watson to do except go back home. What will Holmes think of the curious adventure? Meanwhile, Holmes has his own curious matter to share with Watson. What does the calling card for an amateur society mean? People of opposite walks of society meet to rub elbows with their counterparts on neutral footing. When a member has been murdered, Watson finds himself back where he started. Is Holmes about to walk into a trap? Or is he aware of the trap that is set for him, and sets his own trap for his trappers? But wait… maybe the trappers knew Holmes would plan a trap-, so they set a bomb to go off to deal with the detective once and for all. But then, is it possible that Holmes knew about the counter trap to his trap, and countered the counter trap? OK, my head hurts.

It’s time to get tough, and use his fists to get information from a bum named Sharky. Marlowe retraces the clues to follow the trail back at Hanley. How do the two ends of this mystery tie in together? The mansion on the hill and the low life on skid row? Marlowe is onto something as he races back through his parade of shady characters. Listen in as Marlowe shares the outcome of justice.

Who will he be protecting, and from what? The widow, Lady Dianna Venering, explains her past connection with the clergyman, and some details about her late husband. The danger doesn’t seem to be for her, but her newlywed husband, the suspect from the trial. Now married three times, and with each husband, including the one married this morning, all killed on their wedding day, former magician’s assistant Dianna seems to have no luck with husbands. With Sherlock Holmes on the case, what else is there to do but to… marry her? Sounds like a trap to me. But one where Holmes catches a killer. Misdirection and subterfuge aren’t just tools for magicians, and Holmes explains his trap to Watson.

In hot pursuit, Philip pushes his cabbie to stick on the tail of the car ahead. Just when it appears his case will be closed, and his client pays him, there’s gunshots on the other end of the phone call, and Marlowe has a new problem on his hands. The chase now leads Marlowe to a man with a southern accent. How will he connect with the missing box with a half of a Confederate dollar bill? Philip is ready to turn Apple borough over to the cops for murder, but ends up with a thump on the head. Next on the trail is a dame and Mr Bowman, a man who wanted to buy the collectable half dollar of Confederate money. Philip warns of a scam, and hopes that he’ll get some cooperation to spring a trap. The eccentric Bowman isn’t interested at all in playing detective. His only interest is in the collectable. The dame may be more motivated to help, and hire Marlowe to protect her uncles assets. Shadowy figures, and danger lurk for our hardboiled hero. New twists may open the doors to success for Philip. Stay tuned to see how he unravels the case for justice. He does have the right killer in his sights… right?
