Chris Field ran his first marathon at the age of 19 in 5 hours and 10 minutes and has since ran 21 marathons. He is currently training to run the Houston marathon this January in 3 hours and 20 minutes. Chris shares his fitness journey and it includes so much about running. If you're a runner you will love this episode! He has an incredible story that also includes much of his personal life. Chris is one of the most genuine guys I know. He is a father, husband and the founder of Mercy Project. Thanks to Chris our community hosts one of the largest marathons in Texas, he started the BCS Marathon. This week I interview Julie Crawford who has been one of our longest members at CSCF. Julie started here back in 2007 in our mommy boot camp. After the boot camp she joined one of our small group personal training programs then made the big jump into CrossFit the summer of 2011. She has been very consistent since then and one of the coolest parts of her story is that through her example she led her daughter (Kelsey Crawford - Ep. 23) to start CrossFit. She stated two goals when I interviewed her at the end of the year in 2016: (1) be able to jump on a 12" box (2) compete in a crossfit competition She has already accomplished her goals! Chris Anderson was 305 pounds when he had a major wake up call which got him back in the gym. He bent over to pick up some laundry and his back went out on him. He was laid up on the ground for 45 minutes unable to get up. He had several minutes in that moment to think about where he had gotten from not taking care of his health which inspired him to go on and lose 70 pounds. He shares the ups and downs of his fitness journey and about a special phrase he reminds himself of often...I am "not dead yet". Listen to hear his inspirational story!

Michelle Waggoner began her fitness journey in 2008 because a close friend invited her to workout at the YMCA. At the time she weighed 200 pounds and went on to lose over 50 pounds. You may want to grab some tissues before listening to this one because you will probably tear up.

Chasing kids can be exhausting and being pregnant while chasing kids can be even more exhausting but Alicia makes coming to the gym a priority because it keeps her sane. On this episode she shares how her fitness journey began after the birth of Cate in 2012. This was when she truly committed and it has become a major part of her life. Her story is inspiring and you will love hearing her share it!

Since then he has lost 14 pounds and his performance has sky rocketed. In this interview he shared his fitness journey and you will see that all it takes to achieve your goals is a decision. In January Skylar decided to change his eating and it has made all the difference.

Ruth Ann Gholson is a 20 year old who has lived for 53 years :) Her outlook on health and her enthusiasm for life is invigorating. Ruth Ann shares about losing 40 pounds at the age of 50 inspired by her sons wedding. She has fallen in love with CrossFit and went from being ranked 900th in the world in the 2016 Open to being ranked 400th in the 2017 Open in the world in her age group. Her goal is to make it to the masters qualifier next year and she is very determined. You will love hearing her share her story and more than anything you will be inspired to get off the couch and do something after listening to this episode!
