On Ron’s Amazing Stories this time we head to the planet Mercury with the IFP. Ancient astronomers had long suspected that Mercury always presented the same side to the sun, though they were ignorant to the fact that the little planet also had water and air. Complete silliness of course, but not in our story. On Ron’s Amazing Stories we have a visit from the old west with Wyatt Earp. It comes from the OTR series The Hallmark Hall Of Fame and stars William Conrad as Wyatt. Then we have a special edition of These Are Your Stories from a small village in Ireland. We will end the show with another Not So Important Times In History dated September 22, 1773. Featured Story - Wyatt Earp, Marshal Of Kansas Our featured story comes from the OTR series The Hallmark Hall Of Fame. It features almost the entire cast of Gunsmoke, which should not come as any surprise since Hallmark was part of the CBS family. It is a tale about the famous western lawman Wyatt Earp and  It isn’t like anything you have seen or heard before. The real Wyatt Earp was a gambler, brothel owner and side street brawler. This version is a bit different from that, but maintains that mystic sense that he was a very tough man. What if robots were not only sentient, but could also reproduce at will? Would the world have to look at them differently? The idea of this came to the mind of author Clifford D. Simak long before our AI robots questions of today. Featured Story - A Case Of Identity Our featured story was written by the great Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. It focuses on a jilted lover, Miss Sutherland, who has been left at the altar by her fiancé when he mysteriously disappeared on their wedding day. Miss Sutherland approaches Sherlock Holmes to help find him, and he discovers that the truth is stranger than fiction. It is titled A Case Of Identity and was first published in a collection of short stories called The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes in September of 1891.
