Liber8: a Continuum Podcast

Who doesn't love Clayton the coroner on Continuum? He's always eating something while briefing the detectives, and he even seems a little suspicious of Kiera when her tech trumps his forensic findings, which makes him a great comic foil. Adam Greydon Reid is the actor behind this comic relief character, and he shared with us his story of the evolution of his character and his career. Our original intention was to finish off our season 2 recap with this one, but the VPD provided an hour's worth of discussion! Kiera, Carlos, Alec, Betty, and Dillon are the subjects in this podcast. Fans of Continuum the show and fans of Continuum the album by John Mayer are constantly experiencing hashtag confusion on Twitter. When the show trends during a live tweet, hundreds of Mayer fans for some reason believe that the 2006 album has somehow surged in popularity 7 years later. In any case, we thought it appropriate to use a song from the album, Dreaming with a Broken Heart, in our first ever music video, centering around the relationships Kiera left behind with her family. The lyrics lent themselves particularly well to the ideas of the show, especially considering Dave's latest crackpot theory. Hopefully, this will usher in a new era of unity between the sci-fi and music fans of Continuum! We knew ARC could be turned to dark purposes by future Alec, but who knew it could be abused in our own time? Dillon's extremism becomes scary, Kellog meets his competition, and the Terry's Chocolate Orange is complete once again! Dave has a whopper of a crackpot theory to share this week but so do some of our listeners. Plus convention news, predictions, and nitpicks for your enjoyment. Escher makes a move, Julian gathers power, and Garza gets grabbed... twice! For some reason, this episode sparked tons of branching and circular timeline theories from us and our listening audience, which is why this podcast is a tad longer. Once you get going on time travel, it's hard to stop! Also, lots of great fan feedback and news about the upcoming Dragon Con.

It was tough to wrap our heads around this one - so many conflicting character traits to deal with! Follow us down the dark path as we discuss the new motivations of Kiera, Dillon, Julian, and even the suddenly mysterious Lucas! Sci-Fi News (SDCC panels), nitpicks, and predictions abound, but this week one segment has temporarily changed names: Life in 2035!

This one's been in the works for awhile, but I'm glad we waited since Emily's been kicking ass in recent episodes - literally! We talked to Magda Apanowicz about her role on Continuum and her experience as an actor in other genre shows like Caprica and Kyle XY. This one's relatively free of spoilers other than speaking about her stunt work in a general way, but it's meant to be enjoyed by those who have seen up through episode 208. // //

This Garza-centric episode rocks on many levels: Alec learns to deal with his possible future through the revealing (in more ways than one) of Garza's hidden talents and secret mission. We still have a lot of questions about the body-snatching - join us as we discuss the increasingly intricate relationships, especially with newer characters Emily, Jason, and Escher. The aftermath of Kiera's revelations to Carlos are explored in this episode, and Emily appears to have her "second degree" black belt in one of several amazing fight scenes. We absolutely HAD to talk to Jonathan Lloyd Walker, who penned Continuum Season 2 Episode 6: Second Truths, to ask him about how on earth the idea to name this episode's serial killers after us came about. Jonathan also shared with us some facts about Escher's development, Alec's education, and the life of a writer on such a stellar show. Join us as we talk to him while he was on the set 3 hours before everything wrapped for Season 2!

Some gigantic revelations in this episode of Continuum, including an eye-opener for Carlos and an "eye-opening" pair of serial killers not coincidentally named Mike and Dave!
