Blogging Diabetes Podcasts with Tony Rose

Session 001 This is what I am officially calling the first podcast episode with an appropriate title.  In session number 1 I tell the story of how I was diagnosed and what the signs where that something was wrong with my body.  Actually, it was my [now] wife that went behind my back and told my parents that something might be wrong with me.  If you want to hear the juicy details, check out the podcast.  As noted in the introduction clip I posted last week, the podcasts are now available on iTunes.  I would love to hear your feedback or suggestions on topics that you would like to hear more about.  This podcast is about you and what YOU want to listen to versus what I'm just rambling on about. As I suggested in the introduction last week, these episodes aren't going to be long unless I bring a special guest on or do an interview.  This one proves that I'm not one to ramble on too much and comes in just under 20 minutes, which should be the norm going forward.  It will really just depend on the topic. Blogging Diabetes Podcast (BDP) is my debut or introduction to podcasting about diabetes.  The term podcasting may not be widely known, so I will attempt to explain.  I basically record an audio file that I publish to my website.  You can listen via my site using the built in audio player or you can download to your computer.  From your computer you can use whatever device or software you want for playback.  Coming soon, iTunes will pickup my audio files as I publish them here and include them in the iTunes library.   So if you do have an ipod or iphone you will be able to get the new episodes via iTunes.  Contrary to what some believe, podcasts have nothing to do with ipods.  You don't need to have an ipod to listen to the podcasts.  Many smartphones now have the ability to playback podcasts too. I may have featured guests on discussing different aspects of diabetes from time to time.
