Critical Issues Commentary Radio
Summary: Critical Issues Commentatry grew out of Bob DeWaay's passion to equip the saints for the work of ministry. In the late 1980's Bob met regularly with a group of local pastors, often presenting position papers on timely doctrinal issues. When he found that the messages were accepted by only a few of the attendees and rarely reached the pews, he chose to speak directly to the people by initiating a bimonthly newletter. Bob DeWaay is teacher and theologian at Gospel of Grace Fellowship in Edina, MN. We are instructed to pursue peace and sanctification because of the danger of the community being defiled by the presence of apostates. Esau is used as an example of such a person. The Fruits of Discipline: Hebrews 12:9-13, presented by Bob DeWaay and Dick Kuffel. God's discipline is always for our spiritual good. It is very important that we stay in the race and not drop out. Moses made a dramatic choice when he gave the treasures of Egypt to identify with the Hebrew people of his ancestry. We discuss how important heavenly citizenship is for believers and that heaven is often wrongly de-emphasized in many churches. The faith of the patriarchs pointed to heaven and so should ours.
