On todays Bible Answer Man broadcast, Hank says that he fears that oftentimes we can get into a sort of tradition with praying the Lords Prayer so that it loses its power and vigor, because we say the words without understanding that this is not a prayer mantra, but a prayer manner. So Hank goes over the phrases in the prayer, starting by explaining what it means to say Your kingdom come.Hank also answers the following questions: Isaiah prophesied about Christ how can modern-day Jews discount what one of their own prophets said as to who the Messiah was? What does the Bible say about cremation?

Best of BAM: The New Heaven and New Earth, and QA | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:28:00

On today’s Bible Answer Man broadcast, Hank shares his thoughts on the new heaven and new earth as described by the Apostle Peter in 2 Peter 310. Rather than an altogether different cosmos, Hank affirms that the heavens and the earth will be resurrected, not annihilated. God does not scrap His creations but restores them; therefore, Paradise lost will become Paradise restored. In light of this, Hank asks the question: if the cosmos and we ourselves will one day be resurrected, how then should we live? Hank also answers the following questions:If Satan would not have tempted Adam and Eve to sin, would he still have been condemned to hell? Will Iran be called Persia someday as spoken about in end time prophecy? Can you give me a better understanding of speaking in tongues? Can you clarify the meaning of the phrase God is love?

Best of BAM: The Pentateuch, The Temptation of Christ, and One True Church | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:28:00

On today’s Bible Answer Man broadcast, Hank answers the following questions: Who wrote the Pentateuch, and what are your thoughts on the idea of four other authors who wrote it later? Why did the devil tempt Jesus to jump from the pinnacle of the Temple? Can God be tempted? Is there any biblical evidence of the first calendar? I heard a preacher say that we dont have to ask for forgiveness for our sins, but dont we do it for our relationship with God? Is there one true church?

Best of BAM: The Failures of Marxism and Socialism, and QA | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:28:00

On today’s Bible Answer Man broadcast, Hank features the brand new edition of the Christian Research Journal by discussing the cover story Why Marxism and Socialism Always Fails by Jay W. Richards. Marxism, rebranded as socialism today, is making a comeback, and in the politics of the progressive Left, the makeover is complete. But Marxs theory suffers the same malady as every materialistic theory it contradicts the existence of the theorist. Richards explains how it works and what we should know in this cover feature article in the current edition of the Christian Research Journal. Hank also answers the following questions Do we have the ability to bind and loose through faith in Christ? Does the Orthodox Church observe the practice of praying to the Saints in the same way as the Catholic Church? Arent we supposed to put effort into working rather than live paycheck to paycheck and rely on Gods provision? If Christ died for our past and future sins, would we be forgiven if we dont get a chance to repent of a sin?

Best of BAM: The Great Commission, Modalism, and the Resurrection | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:28:00

On todays Bible Answer Man broadcast, Hank answers the following questions: Is the American Church neglecting the Great Commission? What is your view on the end times? Can one hold to modalism and still be saved? When we share the gospel, should we talk about the Trinity? Can you address the apparent contradictions of the resurrection accounts in the Gospels?e

Best of BAM: Joel Osteen, the Fall of Satan, and the Trinity | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:28:00

On Todays Bible Answer Man broadcast, Hank answers the following questions: What is it that is dangerous about Joel Osteen? Is what he talks about kind of like Purgatory? Can you explain the difference between a Theophany and a Christophany, and when reading the Old Testament, how do we know the difference between the two? Ive heard that Ezekiel 28 is talking about the fall of Satan, but in Job 1:6 it seems like he is in heaven with God, and I get confused. Can you expound the Scriptural proof for the Trinity? I see Jesus showing reverence for the Father why is He called the Son and not the brother, if they are the same

Best of BAM: In the Beginning, Big Bang Cosmology, and QA | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:28:00

On todays Bible Answer Man broadcast, Hank discusses an article in the Wall Street Journal on a new translation of the Bible by professor Robert Alter. According to Alter, the very first words of the Bible, In the beginning, have long been misconstrued. Thus, Alter alters the words to read, When God began to create the Heavens and the earth instead. This change was made because in his opinion God did not create the universe out of nothing rather he was merely an assembler of elements already in existence. As Hank points out, this is a very old canard. A canard that flies in the very face of big bang cosmology which lends credibility to the biblical contention that God created the universe out of nothing. As such big bang cosmology in concert with the Bible stands in stark opposition to the scientifically silly suggestion that the universe has eternally existed. Hank also answers the following questions In Matthew 16:18 it says the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. What are the gates of Hades? What is your opinion on Calvinism? When the apostles chose Matthias to replace Judas, were they going against God? Should Paul have been chosen instead? When someone passes away, does their spirit go directly to Heaven or Hell, or is there a waiting period before judgment? What are your thoughts on the debate of in whose name are we supposed to baptize?

Best of BAM:The Existence of Evil, the Two Witnesses, and Churches Voting on LGBTQ Issues | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:28:00

On today’s Bible Answer Man broadcast, Hank answers the following questions: I don’t think your view that evil exists because of free will is satisfying. Isn’t evil just a byproduct of God’s creation? Do you know anything about God sending Moses and Ezekiel back to preach the Word? I’m a pastor in the United Methodist Church; how should I respond to the recent UMC vote on LGBTQ issues?

Best of BAM: The Spirit of the Disciplines and QA | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:28:00

On todays Bible Answer Man broadcast, Hank brings attention to two resources that are available to those that support the ministry of the Christian Research Institute and the Bible Answer Man broadcast, The Divine Conspiracy and The Spirit of the Disciplines, both by Dallas Willard. Both are books that Hank has read many times and values greatly and that is why we are making them available to you all this month. Hank shares a quote from Dallas Willard in his book, The Spirit of the Disciplines that underscores the importance of the spiritual disciplines. We have a head full of ideas, but a body unable to fend off sins. Why? Because we have not practiced the disciplines that Jesus Christ made plain for us during his earthly sojourn. Hank also answers the following questions: Is the data in your book The Face That Demonstrates The Farce of Evolution still relevant today? Should we use vaccines that are manufactured using aborted fetus cells? Whats the difference between sprinkling and immersion baptisms?

Best of BAM: The Name of Jesus, Lucifer, and Cremation | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:28:00

On today’s Bible Answer Man broadcast, Hank answers the following questions: How important is the name of Jesus as it relates to baptism? What is the difference between what Jesus and Peter said about whose name we should be baptized in? Is the name Lucifer a mistranslation that came from the Latin Vulgate? The passages in Ezekiel and Isaiah that supposedly talk about Lucifer seem to be talking about earthly kings. Why did Jesus switch between lamb and sheep in John 21:15-17? Is cremation a sin? Is Seventh Day Adventism within the pale of Christian orthodoxy?

Best of BAM: The Mustard Seed, Judgment of the Unreached, and other Biblical Clarifications | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:28:00

On today’s Bible Answer Man broadcast, Hank answers the following questions: Can you explain the parable of the mustard seed? How will those who have never heard the gospel be judged? Where did God come from? Why doesn’t the Bible mention anything about Jesus nursing? And why does the Bible say ashes to ashes, dust to dust if we don’t come from ashes? An atheist I am talking with says the Genesis account is flawed because light was created prior to the sun, moon, and stars. Is there an answer for this?

Best of BAM: Hell, Homosexuality, and The Covering | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:28:00

On today’s Bible Answer Man broadcast, Hank answers the following questions: How can I properly explain the eternal nature of Hell? As a Canadian teacher, I am being required to teach students about homosexuality and gender issues. How can I refuse to do this as a Christian, and keep my job? Could you share a little more about your book, The Covering? Since I have a mental illness and experience the world using a defective brain, how do I discern the will of the Lord?

Best of BAM: Moses, the Second Coming, and the Bible as Literature | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:28:00

On today’s Bible Answer Man broadcast, Hank answers the following questions: Did Moses actually have a speech impediment when he complained to God that he could not speak well? How can I communicate effectively to other Christians that there will only be one Second Coming, and that the pre-tribulation Rapture doctrine is wrong? I have begun to read the Bible as literature. How do I maintain the understanding that it is inspired scripture?

Best of BAM: Chaos in Venezuela, Socialism, and QA | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:28:00

On today’s Bible Answer Man broadcast, Hank discusses the current unrest in Venezuela. Once the richest economy in South America, Venezuela has with frightening rapidity become chaotic and impoverished. And as Hank claims, this could be our fate as well if someone like U.S. Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez were to become President of the United States. In the short amount of time since Nicolás Maduro’s replacement of Hugo Chávez as President of Venezuela, the richest economy in South America has—through socialist revolution—become utter chaos. Even basic commodities of life are lacking. How ironic that some U.S. politicians like Senator Bernie Sanders and the aforementioned Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez want socialism for the U.S. As Hank puts it, to be ignorant of the devastating consequences of socialism or for that matter the basic premise of Christian capitalism is a prescription for disaster.Hank also answers the following questions:In Revelation 7:14 it says “These are they who have come out of the great tribulation.” Does this mean that the Church will go through the great tribulation? Does the Garden of Eden still exist?

Best of BAM: Roe v. Wade, Unplanned, and QA | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:28:00

On today’s Bible Answer Man broadcast, Hank discusses Roe v. Wade, this year being the 46th anniversary of the Supreme Court’s decision. Since then, 60 million babies have been killed in the United States alone. Worldwide, between 40 and 50 million abortions are performed each year—approximately 125,000 abortions every single day. Hank recalls an interview he saw recently with actress Ashley Bratcher, who plays anti-abortion activist Abby Johnson in a soon-to-be-released biopic titled Unplanned. Bratcher discussed in the interview her own story about abortion; when telling her mother of the role, her mother broke down in tears and informed her that when she was 19, she was going to have an abortion but at the last minute couldn’t go through with it, and she chose life—she chose Ashley. Hank also answers the following question: Why did Jesus tell those He healed to not tell anyone?
