Google Plus Bootcamp Episode 1 Take good care of your circles | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 3:39

This is the Google Plus Boot Camp Episode 1! Hello and welcome to the first episode of the Google Plus Boot Camp! Why should you listen to this? Because we will explain things fast and save you time to spend with friends and family instead. Hi, my name is Raymond Bauer and my topic is customer acquisition and retention. I am from good old Germany, so please forgive me my mistakes. If you have a Google Mail-Account you will notice a big arrow one of these days, pointing to a Plus followed by your name. This will be the day, when you ask yourself: What the hell am I going to do with this? Level1: The circles If you find a person on Google Plus, you can add it to a group that is called a circle. If your Google Mail account is not brand new, you will see a lot of mail addresses, that you can add to circles. Maybe you have sent mails to a lot of people. You will find all these people . Your first task is to sort them If you have an aunt Ida that is a plague in your address list, you have to face the question: Am I going to add them to relatives or should I create a new circle called plague? Well, it depends on what you are going to do with your circles. I would guess you have a bunch of folks that you are not going to contact. So obviously I would create a circle for those blacklisted people. It is also possible to add people to more than one circle. You should be aware of the way, you are going to use this circles in the future. I would suggest to add each person to only one circle! The problem: Imagine, you want to quit your job and found your own business. You have a former colleague that could be a potential customer! It is likely, that he might have some of your current colleagues in his circles. I you are going to add this guy to the circle customers your current colleagues might get posts, that you never wanted them to read! The solution: You can see the contacts of every person in the profile. Click on his or her name and take the time to check his contacts to prevent unwanted surprise. You really don't want your Boss to tell you : "Congratulations, I have read your post yesterday and I just wanted to tell you : You will never work in this town again!" So do the next step now and come back for more!

Google Plus Boot Camp Episode 8 – a spark to lighten a firework of relevant information! | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 3:23

This is the Google Plus Boot Camp Episode 8! Hello and welcome to  episode 8 of the Google Plus Boot Camp! Why should you listen to this? Because we will explain things fast and save you time to spend with friends and family instead. Hi, my name is Raymond Bauer and my topic is customer acquisition and retention. I am from good old Germany, so please forgive me my mistakes. Our topic today: A spark to lighten a firework of relevant information! These days your problem is not the lack of information. The opposite is true. You are overwhelmed with information and you can not read it all and sort it out properly. This is a big problem, because dealing with all this data costs you a lot of time. Google was not the first search engine on the world wide web, but it is the market leader today. The reason is simple: Google delivers relevant information! Everybody uses Google for the same reason: Relevant search results. Maybe you know about RSS. It is a simple way to keep up to date with your favourite web sites. Your customers might be interested in a certain topic of your offer. Let's say, you own a store for sporting goods. Some customers prefer Baseball, others like to ski. To be relevant to everybody, Google Plus has invented a service called Sparks. Just type in your search term inside of Google Plus and click on the Link called Sparks and G+ will list articles from web pages and videos matching your search term. You than can also save this search to come back later and modify the search results. If you want to be informed about Google Plus and want to sort out posts about Facebook, you can simply add a Minus followed by the word Facebook to sort them out. Once you are satisfied with the results, save one topic-related Multi-Site-RSS feed  for each of your interests. You will come back to these feeds later. But this is the topic of another episode. Your task for today: Create yourself Sparks for each topic that is valuable for you and your business. That's all for today. Do the next step now and come back for more!

Google Plus Boot Camp Episode 6 – Hangout with your new customers! | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 3:03

This is the Google Plus Bootcamp Episode 6! Hello and welcome to the sixth episode of the Google Plus Boot Camp! Why should you listen to this? Because we will explain things fast and save you time to spend with friends and family instead. Hi, my name is Raymond Bauer and my topic is customer acquisition and retention with online services. I am from good old Germany, so please forgive me my mistakes. Our topic today: Hangout with your new customers! Skype has been around for some time, so you might already have used the chance to try out video conferencing. There are also professional services that cost good money. But Google Plus offers a free service called Hangout. You can start a hangout with a button on the right sidebar inside of Google Plus. It will offer you to invite some people you want to talk to. My first invitation sent out to my wife and a friend did not produce any reaction because they didn't get any notification. G+ should send out a mail for that. But if your invited guests check their G+ site they will notice a little red icon on the top of the site, that something happened. But when you join a hangout it is really cool. You can add and invite people and other people can join your session also. Google Hangout could be your killer tool for customer acquisition. You can set up a certain time where you offer free consulting with video lessons. The coolest feature is that hangout makes it possible to share your presentation from YouTube directly with your audience. Did you know, that you also got a YouTube account for free uploads when you joined Google? If you offer value other people might also pop in to join your interactive webcast. It is a powerful tool, it is free and it is your choice, how you are going to use it! I will share some of my video courses with Hangout in the near future. What will you do? Your task for today: Start a hangout with somebody and share a video So do the next step now and come back for more!

I am from good old Germany, so please forgive me my mistakes. Our topic today: Find your heroes and tag your business When you have selected the appropriate circle for each contact, you might to add some other folks also. I have created a circle called idols, where I add people like Jason van Orden and Jeremy Frandsen, the guys from Internet Business Mastery. When you click on Jasons name, you can immediately see the people in his circles.  Oh here are Don Crowther and Perry Belcher and the famous Jeff Walker! I have heard about this guys in several podcasts and now I can add them to my Google Plus circle for idols. Nice! Sterling missed to add a photo. I can not find Dan Kennedy, but with a few mouse clicks I created myself a circle of idols. My search for Zig Ziglar opens a bunch of news about his quotes, I can also watch one of his videos right in the stream. I try a quick search for my company "Crowdcompany UG" and I get no results. Problem: No results for your company in Google Plus? Ok, so we will have to fix that. Solution: Tag it in your profile. Here is how: 1. Click on the Google+ Home. It looks like a house 2. Click on your name or photo 3.  Add a photo 4. save 5. Click on the new photo and select add tag 6.  Add a subtitle to the photo After you have done that, you will find a new mail in your mailbox. You can approve or refuse to be tagged. Cool feature! Your task: Add more photos and ad tags. If you want to be found for a term like customer acquisition ant retention, it is easy to be done. So do the next step now and come back for more! Bye!

Google Plus Boot Camp episode 5 – add friends or customers to do them a favour! | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 4:40

This is the Google Plus Boot Camp Episode 5! Hello and welcome to the fifth  episode of the Google Plus Boot Camp! Why should you listen to this? Because we will explain things fast and save you time to spend with friends and family instead. Hi, my name is Raymond Bauer and my topic is customer acquisition and retention. I am from good old Germany, so please forgive me my mistakes. Our topic today: Invite your customers, because they will be amazed what Google is offering for free! Right now Google Plus is still brand new. Many people might have heard about it, but we all now, it is going to take some time, until people react. So obviously you still have the chance to do them a favour. To invite somebody you can use the invite-friends-button inside of Google Plus. The Invitation can also be sent to adresses outside Google. Your customer or friend will immediatly get a Gmail. Topic : Forname Surename invited you to join him on Google+ Google+ makes sharing on the web more like sharing in real life. The mail will also contain your photo from your amazing profile you have already set up ( If you have missed that part, go to the former episodes first!) some pictures to explain what circles, Hangouts and the Google+ app are all about and, of course the Join Google+ Button. In the early days when this is recorded you can still find people that sell invitations! The invited person might be happy that you offer to join the network for free... He will click on the Join Google+ button and that will redirect him to a site, where he can set up a brand new Google account for G+ for free! It is no exaggeration to say, that you can do almost everything you will ever need to found a basic online business with this account. So if you don't have one, now is the time to assert your claim. I was to slow. My name was already taken. My Company brand already ocupied. Be sure, not to wait until this happens to you or your friends! To set up the account you or your invited contact will have to fill out some basic information like name, date of birth, password and desired username. It is all very straight and easy to handle. You will also need a telephone number to receive a confirmation-code. That is the point, where some people might be frightened. My personal considered opinion is, that Google is in the focus of everybody and they will never sell your data for a quick buck. They have to much to lose. Use a prepaid card, if you are afraid. Five minutes later the account is ready and approved. It contains enough space for over 20000 emails, an online office and dozens of usefull services. The best service right now is Google Plus. You can use it also for customer acquisition, but this is the topic of the next episode. Your task for todayd: Invite some people to get your network started right now! So do the next step now and come back for more! Bye!

Google Plus Boot Camp Episode 7 – Crawl your competitors and customers | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2:58

This is the Google Plus Boot camp Episode 7! Hello and welcome to the seventh episode of the Google Plus Boot camp! Why should you listen to this? Because we will explain things fast and save you time to spend with friends and family instead. Hi, my name is Raymond Bauer and my topic is customer acquisition and retention. I am from good old Germany, so please forgive me my mistakes. Our topic today: Crawl your competitors and your customers. In the first place Google is a search engine. And while they invent service after service, the design on the Google main page is rather simple. But there is much more power to discover. A simple example is the ability to filter you search results, that you will see when you click the link for the advanced search. What it does: You can sort out old forum posts, expand the search results to 100 entries per page or - you can exactly determine which page you want to crawl. And that means, you can crawl your webpage, the page of your competitor or any other page on the web. And what do you do to log into Google Plus? You open a webpage called Plus.Google.com. And you can use this address for the advanced Google search. If you are looking for hunters and your G+ Profile and your posts are optimized for hunters you can target your preferred audience very exactly. You can talk to them, you can contact them and you can invite them. If you share the same interests with your audience you have a very good chance to find interesting contacts. How you can do that without spamming them. But this is the topic of another episode. So do the next step now and come back for more!

Google Plus Boot Camp Episode 4 – How to attract the biiig fishes! | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 3:26

This is the Google Plus Boot Camp Episode 4! Hello and welcome to the fourth episode of the Google Plus Boot Camp! Why should you listen to this? Because we will explain things fast and save you time to spend with friends and family instead. Our topic today: How to attract the big fishes! Hi, my name is Raymond Bauer and my topic is customer acquisition and retention. I am from good old Germany, so please forgive me my mistakes. By now you should already have created a few circles and you have an outstanding photo and an amazing profile in Google Plus. If you have missed that part, go back to Episode1! And you might also have found some people, that you always wanted to talk to. But your chance to talk to the desired contact might be very small, if he is a big fish. Try to send him a mail. He will probably never answer. But there is a cool feature in Google Plus, that can do the trick for you. The problem: You want to contact James T. Kirk, but you don't believe he will talk to you. The solution: Tag him in a picture to make him contact you! If you have listened to the former episodes, you might have noticed, that you can tag a photo. When you use the name for this, that is already inside your circles, you can select the person and link his profile to the photo. If you do not have good photos of James T. Kirk, you can also create a picture with the free service cooltext.com. Maybe the text is "James T. Kirk is the hero of my childhood days!" And here is the reason you will do this: Only five seconds after you have tagged the picture, James T. will get a Google-Mail on his communicator saying:"You just have been tagged by this user. Will you approve this?" So now he will check the link to find out, if he is willing to approve the tag, or if he rather is going to kill you with his phaser. Whatever he decides, you might get his full attention, as long as not everybody is going to do this. Your task: Try to attract some big fishes by adding them to your circle and tagging their name afterwards So do the next step now and come back for more!

Google Plus Boot Camp Episode 3 – Create a perfect profile! | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2:44

This is the Google Plus Boot Camp Episode 3! Hello and welcome to the third episode of the Google Plus Boot Camp! Why should you listen to this? Because we will explain things fast and save you time to spend with friends and family instead. Hi, my name is Raymond Bauer and my topic is customer acquisition and retention. I am from good old Germany, so please forgive me my mistakes. Our topic today: Create a perfect profile! Now that you are visible to millions of people, you obviously want to make a good first impression. You should choose carefully. What is it, that people should see, when they seek you? The first thing I added was a photo. Your photo is the first thing, that people see. You should smile on it and it should show your face and not much else, because your photo will show up as a very small picture in the Google Plus circles. After that you can add some additional information. The first field is the intro. You may want to add a short description to make it easy for other people to verify, that you are the right John Smith. I did not provide all the possible information. Google wants you to type in your phone number. No chance! There is also a small map where you can select your current location. Fill out the profile, as you like. I would recommend to use your language. If you want to be found in other countries also, you can add an English translation. If you want to use Google Plus for acquisition, you should make sure that the last setting is set to visible to everybody who searches for you or your service. Your task: Create a profile, that describes what you want other people to see, when they find you in Google Plus So do the next step now and come back for more! Bye!
