(2013-09-01) Christ Must Be King in All Things | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 13:12

Sermon titled "Christ Must Be King in All Things" given on Sunday September 1, 2013. Size: 4.5 MB; duration: 13:12. Just as the widow of Naim, through her tears, won the compassion of Christ to raise her son from the dead, so our Holy Mother the Church in sorrow pleads with Christ to raise her spiritual sons from the death of mortal sin. Allegorically, the Church Fathers saw in the son of the widow the state of the gentile nations before the time of Christ: just as the body of the dead son is lead to the sepulcher, men in the state of mortal sin are led to hell. This allegory is most fitting in our POST-Christian age, and of critical importance to faithful Christians. Even if we obtain the grace to be raised from the death of mortal sin, once we leave the Confessional we must encounter a godless world. Shed tears of repentance in order that Christ the King will touch modern mankind and raise us from the death of modernism and into his joyful service.

(2013-08-25) Christ: King of the Economy | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 14:55

Sermon titled "Christ: King of the Economy" given on Sunday August 25, 2013. Size: 5.1 MB; duration: 14:55. No man can serve two masters, and Mammon is a cruel tyrant. As individuals in society, we must never lose sight of the eternal while providing for our temporal needs: Christ fed the multitudes with physical bread and the crowd wanted to make Him king; when He offered food for the Soul (the Eucharist), all but a few left him. At a macroeconomic level, both laissez faire capitalism and the reaction it provoked -- socialism -- deny the common man an ownership stake in making a living. An economic system must be ethical and concerned for the well-being of the individuals of society (both physically and spiritually) in order to benefit the common good. Recommended reading: Rerum Novarum by Pope Leo XIII.

(2013-08-18) Science Cannot Explain History: Errors of Big Bang Cosmology | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 29:55

Sermon titled "Science Cannot Explain History: Errors of Big Bang Cosmology" given on Sunday August 18, 2013. Size: 10.3 MB; duration: 29:55. Every form of evolutionary theory violates one of the first principles of philosophy, including (but not limited to): "red shift" theory, missing matter and energy, and the cosmological constant. Perhaps the largest problem is the false premise that there is no God, which leads to scientific explanation concluding that there is no God (error of circular reasoning). Because the origin of the universe is an historical question, science alone is unable to give a full account. Christ asks: "If you do not believe the writings of Moses, how will you believe my Word?" The writings of Moses -- the first five books of the Bible -- begin with the historical account of creation. Book cited: The Metaphysics of Evolution by Father Chad Ripperger.

(2013-06-30) Obedience is the Only Response to Authority | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 22:01

Sermon titled "Obedience is the Only Response to Authority" given on Sunday June 30, 2013. Size: 7.6 MB; duration: 22:01. The Church's authority comes in the shape of a Cross. The vertical of the cross reflects that God's power or authority is transmitted to us through a hierarchy; a chain of command. The horizontal element reflects the apostolicity of the Church. All that is taught must be traceable to Christ and His apostles. Both elements must be present to command obedience. Included is a comparison of St. Joan of Arc with Savonarola; how each of them approached those in authority over them, and examples from the lives of St. Louis de Montfort and St. Juan Diego.
