"The Saving of Gordon" Author - Joni James Aldrich | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:05:00

Joni James Aldrich will be here to share with us her true story of love, devotion, and sacrifice. On May 13, 2004, Gordon was diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a rare blood cancer. Despite the fact that he was young, strong, and determined to beat the odds, his cancer was more aggressive than his treatments. Gordon died on May 13, 2006, two years to the day after he was diagnosed—right after our 20th wedding anniversary.   In the days, months, and years following Gordon’s death, I’ve personally found great solace in the ocean. I’m not into meditation or channeling (I rarely stay still long enough to do either!), but having been raised close to the ocean, I seem to have an open connection with God and my creativity while I’m looking out over the waves. Somehow the sea air gets into my mind, and thoughts and emotions merge like the soaring seagulls overhead.   Throughout Gordon’s battle with cancer, I fought to find the best approach to his treatment, much of which took place 800 miles from our home. Today, through my books, websites, seminars, and other resources, I hope to be part of the support system for others who are fighting for life.   Learn More: Joni Aldrich  The Cancer Lifeline Grief Beacon     CALL  IN  TO  SPEAK  WITH  JONI: 347-324-5661

PTS from Childhood Sexual Abuse; Osteoarthritis and More.... | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:59:00

Can you believe that - PTS from Childhood Sexual Abuse; Osteoarthritis; Peripheral Neuropathy; and Degenerative Disc Disease are all living inside of one person?  It's not too hard to picture one person having all those, but what is a bit off the beaten path is that they all are within one man....yes one man!   That man is Brian Passe. Brian recently created a website called  "HisWords.org - Through God's Grace I live Strong"  which focuses on chronic pain with an emphasis on men. In his researching of chronic pain he took notice that most stories he came across where about women with fibromyalgia. That got Brian thinking, and he realized it was because men usually try to "tough it out" or just not talk about their pain. They tend to think that no one notices when they're in pain, but those closest to them, especially their wives, know exactly how they feel. Learn More: His Words Call In: 347-324-5661

In the Biblical reading Derrick was doing, he kept seeing the word woe over and over again. Suddenly, the word was all around him. In the dictionary “woe” is really any form of deep distress or misery. He realized a woe is different for everybody. He had an unconscious fascination with the word. He wrote it down, & thought of the different miseries people endured. He asked himself, "What if you could create something positive out of your woes?" Taking the letters apart, it went from woe to Word Of Encouragement!   He says:“I met Kim during her visit to Atlanta. We began a long distance relationship. She was who I shared my day & stories with. One thing that kept us together was giving each other W.O.E.s.  On the phone at the end of our day, we’d say something like ‘I need my W.O.E. for the night.’ It was usually a scripture or a funny story.
