Gamers Lounge Ep 113 – Masons, Engineers, and Hadross Gamers Lounge 113 opens with Bill chatting a bit to you, the listener, about his “working vacation”, gaming in other areas of the US, and recent games he’s played. Following that we have a little call to Guild Ball Tonight with a GBT style After Actions Report (AAR). Bill and Greg talk about a recent game where Bill’s Masons faced off against Greg’s Engineers. We discuss some of the intricacies of character plays and how the Engineer’s uses them to play the game differently from other teams. The second and last segment of the show is the next in the new Wrath of Kings show segment. This time we have already introduced ourselves so we dive into our first army review. We talk about Hadross, the dreaded fishmen of Arkania. We review their characters, the army play style, strengths, weaknesses, and general army review. Gamers Lounge ep. 112 – Preview of First Law: Override Gamers Lounge Episode 112 is a game preview for First Law: Override. In this episode Bill is joined by the co-creators of this new campaign style skirmish game to  discuss the game, the design process, and their future plans. First Law: Override is an in-development campaign style skirmish game. It’s built in a futuristic setting and uses an open source approach to choosing models for the game. The developers are very open about their development process and run their current play test as a full-open-testing environment.  Gamers Lounge ep. 111 – It’s a Palindrome Gamers Lounge Episode 111 has a couple firsts involved in it. This is the first time Mrs. Gamers Lounge has shown up on the show in 2 segments. Also, we’re launching a new segment, so the first time we’ll be diving into the regular Wrath of Kings segment with introductions. After Bill provides a bit of an intro we dive into the first segment. Mrs. Gamers Lounge and I sit down and talk about the newly arrived kickstarter game, Exploding Kittens. It’s a pretty short review but I think we cover the game well. Segment two has a new crew of guest hosts joining Bill for the launch of the new Wrath of King’s segment. This segment is as yet unnamed, but will be a regularly occurring segment covering Wrath of Kings tactics and game play. We start in this episode by introducing ourselves and what armies we play for WOK. And the last segment of the show has Bill and Mrs. GL return to talk about another game. This time they have a much longer game session discussion and full review of Super Dungeon Explore – Arcade.  Gamers Lounge Ep 110 – Proxy your Alpha Gamer Gamers Lounge 110 comes sneaking into the feed, late and embarrassed but is going to act like it showed up on time. Bill opens with the obligatory introduction before turning the show over to it’s normal flow. The first segment has Bill and John joined by local gamer and friend Dan. Dan gives a bit of his background then the three jump into a discussion about proxying. Specifically we talk about proxying in non-GW games, and skirmish and character driven games. Our second segment is a discussion of that lovely chap who tends to introduce you to new games, the Alpha Gamer in your group. We define an alpha gamer and then talk a bit about the whole concept.  Gamers Lounge Ep 109 – Oh Wow is the new Awesome Gamers Lounge 109 is here with guests and lots of rambling! We open the show with a quick introduction before friend of the show Spencer joins us. Spencer and Bill ramble through a long discussion on a variety of topics. This includes having a primary game vs not, blood bowl, Warmachine competitiveness, and Guild Ball. Following that the Family Gaming Segment returns with a host of games. We still talk primarily Zombicide but now we add in Machi Koro and Star Wars Armada. Somewhere along the way Bill’s oldest daughter wanders in and we have some minor family gaming drama before returning to regularly scheduled Zombicide discussion. Gamers Lounge Ep 104 – It must be Wrath of Kings!!! Wrath of Kings has arrived and episode 104 is where the Gamers Lounge crew unboxes their goodies. Following a short 5 minute intro by Bill we jump right into the Unboxing of our Wrath of King’s kickstarter pledges. Dixon, John, and Bill all dig through their books, models, and boxes of stuff commenting on everything while we’re pulling it out of the box. We follow up the unboxing with a segment I can only call “The Ramble”. We answer a series of listener questions and respond to some of the current feedback. We discuss the Desert Island question, Outlaw Miniatures new kickstarter, and ultimately drop back into more WoK discussion. Gamers Lounge Ep. 100 – Episode 100 Part Two Part Two of Gamers Loung Episode 100 has arrived. It should have only been a day since part one dropped onto the feed and you (the listener) are back clamoring for more!!! Part two opens up with some more thoughts from Bill, followed by previous hosts Dan and Mike offering thier thoughts an an update on what they are doing now. Following that Bill returns with some comments and a segment about “What makes a good player”. This was a fun segment to record and when I came across it again I felt it needed to be included.
