Australian singer and songwriting institution Paul Kelly stops by, and you’ll also hear from Vermont-based singer-songwriter Anais Mitchell, along with her band.

This week’s all new Mountain Stage with Larry Groce features modern day folk rock master Martin Sexton in a lively solo performance, recorded live on the campus of West Virginia Wesleyan College. You’ll also hear from the Canadian alt country duo Whitehorse, and some smooth groves from the Ryan Montbleau Band. White-hot bluegrass outfit NewFound Road keep things traditional and contemporary all at the same time, and hometown favorite Belinda Smith stops by.

This week’s broadcast of Mountain Stage features Patterson Hood of the Drive-By Truckers, along with a special guest appearance by Mike Mills of REM. You’ll also hear a set from lyricist, arranger composer Van Dyke Parks, whose collaborations with Beach Boy Brian Wilson resulted in the legendary “Smile” album. Both Caroline Aiken and Randall Bramblett deliver soulful sets of southern-infused rock and folk, and singer-songwriter Teitur stops by, all the way from Denmark’s Faroe Islands.
