Learn Dutch with DutchPod101! Don't forget to stop by DutchPod101.com for more great Dutch Language Learning Resources! ----Formal English---- Tilburg—The City that Moves Tilburg is located in the southern part of the Netherlands, and it's home to a rich history, just like the rest of the Netherlands, but also plenty of modern conveniences. One of the most interesting things about the city of Tilburg is how scooter-friendly it is. There's a free charging station for scooters and electric bicycles, making it very easy to charge up without having to pay. The charging station is solar powered, and it's known as the butterfly because the panels are shaped like butterflies. In Tilburg you can visit a number of museums with various themes, like the Brabant Museum of Nature. There is also the City of Tilburg Museum, the Musical Instrument Museum, the De Pont Museum of Contemporary Art, and the Audax Textiles Museum. De Oliemeulen bills itself as "the strangest zoo in the Netherlands," likely because of the uniqueness of its displays. There's an interactive reptile house and other incredible features that are perfect for children. The arts and culture scene is also very much alive in Tilburg. The Tilburg Theatre Complex makes it easy to enjoy every kind of performing art, from live theater, to music and film. There is a concert hall and other venues located inside the Tilburg Theatre Complex. Additionally, the NWE Vorst presents theatrical and dance performances. Tilburg is truly the city that moves because it serves as a major center for arts and culture within the Netherlands. With the city welcoming the green movement with a free solar powered charging station, it's easy to see how it is reaching out into the future. --------------------------- Learn Dutch with DutchPod101!
