 Episode 166 – Can’t We All Just Get Along? | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:20:46

It's a jam packed show this week thanks to an update from last week, Heroes of the Dorm on ESPN2 and an email from Val! Before we get into what we've been playing we wrap up the paid mods story from last week with the reversal from Valve and Bethesda. Turns out, thanks to customer feedback (both negative and screaming bloody murder), they've decided to table the effort for now. But enough about that noise, what games have we been playing?!? Ryan gives us his thoughts on the recent Mario Kart 8 DLC, which if you're not convinced you can check out a video overview he recorded with Eric Mahler. Jocelyn has been sinking more time into Hearthstone on iPhone as she prepares for an AIE event this weekend for Children's Week. Both inn keepers discuss the new Dungeon Defenders 2 patch, which introduces pets, costumes and much much more! Finally, wrapping up the segment, Ryan airs an issue he believes to be having where he can't stop playing older games. Some released just last year, but others from the Wii U Virtual Console collection. What's worse though, is that he continues to feel an itch to return to Destiny. HELP! Our topic this week focuses on Heroes of the Dorm, but unfortunately not on the great tournament but the aftermath of having it broadcast on ESPN2. Now, one would expect the internet to react poorly to a video game being on ESPN, but we didn't think an ESPN host would air his grievances about the appearance on ESPN! Check out the full video below to be properly upset with Colin Cowherd and be in awe of his stupidity. :( Whew... Busy show! We conclude with a great email from Val, who shares her experience with Life is Strange Episode 2. Beware of some spoilers in this segment. If you haven't caught up with Life is Strange you're best to skip over it.

 Episode 165 – Killing Floor Theatre | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 57:24

Welcome back to the Inn everyone and welcome back to... Loot Crate? That's right, Jocelyn has fallen prey to Loot Crate once again due to the trigger word "Fantasy". Also Jocelyn bought a new gaming chair, she will have more details on that front as soon as she's had a chance to give it a whirl! In terms of games we have two new ones thanks to this weeks Game Night (Thursdays at 8 PM EST if you didn't know). First up is Killing Floor 2 thanks to generous listener David! While skeptical at first, we had a blast slicing and shooting zombies with the listeners. Safe to say we'll be adding this one to the standard Game Night rotation. The second and final game for the show was Battleblock Theatre. Made by the folks behind Castle Crashers, this four player co-op game has a great sense of humour and awesome platform fun. Be sure to check this one out! For our topic how could we ignore the internet explosion that is Valve allowing creators to sell their mods on Steam, first available for Skyrim. Our discussion was informed by two articles found on the internet, the first of which published on Giant Bomb by Jeff Gerstmann and the Kotaku column called Steamed by Nathan Grayson. While you've heard our take on the news, we strongly encourage our listeners to send in their thoughts! We'll address them all on next weeks episode. :)

Episode 164 – Life is Strange for ESO | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:04:20

Elder Scrolls Online returns to the world of The Gamers' Inn due to it's free to play transition. We ended up playing for Game Night due to the massive Welcome Back Weekend for the game. How was it to jump back into the world of Tamriel? Find out by listening to the episode! Also keeping us busy has been Hearthstone on iPhone and April PS+ games for PS4. Ryan actually did a run down of the games available on PS+ for PS4 in a recent YouTube video, be sure to check it out! Our topic this week was a spoiler discussion for Life is Strange, Episode 2. Both Ryan and Jocelyn have been enjoying the series and had a great conversation comparing their gameplay choices and outcomes. Definitely pick this one, especially if you're burned out on the TellTale games. Uses a similar control scheme but with a very different setting and premise.

 Episode 163 – Affordable Portal 2 Adventures | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:07:48

Gamers' Inn proper returns with a revisit to the wonderful land of Portal 2 with Community Maps! On Game Night Jocelyn and Ryan raced through a series of Portal 2 Community Maps called 12 Angry Tests. While Ryan raced ahead, it was fun to revisit the game after our Extra Life race last October. You can find both 12 Angry Tests from Game Night and Designed by Danger from Extra Life 2014 on Steam Workshop for FREE. Also on the show, Jocelyn shares her latest targets in the World of Warcraft while Ryan continues to die in Bloodborne. A new game on the show this week is a new Wii U exclusive eShop title called Affordable Space Adventures. It uses the GamePad in awesome ways, more so than the standard "Blow Into the Mic" Nintendo bullplop. Our topic this week starts off with LEGO's answer to Skylanders, Disney Infinity and of course amiibo with LEGO Dimensions. Is there room for another Toy to Life game on store shelves? Is LEGO best set up to be in the business over Activision, Disney and Nintendo? In this episode you'll find out what we think, but we would love to hear from you! Oh, also Ryan uses the new Wired article about the amiibo bubble as an excuse to rant about amiibo.

 March 2015 Patreon Hangout | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:09:41

The first ever Ask Us Anything with your favorite TGI hosts, brought to you by, well, you! Thank you to every one of our patrons for helping us make this happen. We love talking to you guys! Featuring: Manny - What do we look for in games we stream? - What are the biggest lessons we have learned from streaming/podcasting? - Since you essentially review games, how does that change how you play the game? Do you look up things online? Mike - What do you think about meh game endings lately? - What other geeky stuff are you into? Kameron - Are you playing Battlefield Hardline? Thoughts?

 Episode 162 – Yes, We Dare Bloodborne | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:09:38

While last week was all about possibly purchasing Bloodborne, this week is all about PLAYING Bloodborne! Special guest Matt Kearney returns to share his experience with other Souls games and of course Bloodborne. Ryan also took the plunge into this Victorian London looking game and calms the nerves of fellow newcomers to the series. Discussion revolves around the intro area, bosses in general, co-op and Chalice Dungeons. Spoilers are kept to a minimum, but if you're the type that needs to experience everything on your own (including how to swing a sword), you may want to revisit this episode after you're a few hours in. For those still not convinced or would like to see the game in action, Ryan recorded a half hour of gameplay to help convince you. It includes basic combat mechanics and other gameplay basics. Seeing this game really helped Ryan pull the trigger on the game, so hopefully it helps you too!

 Episode 161 – Dare We Bloodborne? | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 51:27

Welcome to a very casual episode of The Gamers' Inn, we didn't play a whole lot this week so we just talked about video games in general! First up, Ryan purchased a Toad amiibo and Jocelyn talks about the upcoming TACO tournament. Next up the innkeepers convert What We've Been Playing to What We're Thinking of Playing with a pretty open conversation about Bloodborne on PS4. Both Jocelyn and Ryan are interested, but aren't sure which side of the fence they'll land on. One helpful resource that Ryan has latched on to is Engadget's review of Bloodborne titled: Are you good enough for Bloodborne. For our topic this week we have two news stories about games NOT coming in 2015. First up is a tidbit of news on the next Mass Effect game. Seems development continues to gain momentum as motion capture took place recently in Vancouver. Second, we have slightly depressing but understandable news with Zelda for Wii U being delayed out of 2015. :(

 Episode 160 – I Got The Goop In My Boots | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 51:00

Let's start off with some positivity shall we? A local gamer in Ryan's neck of the woods had his 13th birthday on Friday and people all over the world are wishing him a Happy Birthday. Join in on the positivity and show everyone the internet is still an awesome place to be! In other news, The Gamers' Inn once again has guest writers on our website. Check out Joshua Hill's first article about DLC, inspired by our chat on Evolve a few weeks back. As for what we've been playing, Jocelyn had a crazy week but we still found some time for Heroes of the Storm. We played the game for our Game Night, which is thanks to all our wonderful Patrons. Ryan trips his way through American Folklore with his recounts of Codename S.T.E.A.M. on the 3DS. For our topic this week, we couldn't pass up the chance to talk about Nintendo and their partnership with DeNA to enter the smartphone and tablet games business. Do you agree or disagree with our thoughts? Be sure to let us know what you think! Finally, we have our first Patreon Hangout coming up Saturday (today as of this posting) at 5 PM EST. We'll be planning these in advance for future months, so if you miss this one, don't worry! April is just around the corner. For more information on joining the Hangouts, become a Patron of The Gamers' Inn!
