We've had some more time with the remaster of a TGI Year 1 favourite, Kingdoms of Amalur Reckoning. Afterwards, we jump into most of the next generation console news from the past week. This includes a confirmation of the Xbox Series X pricing, with Xbox All Access moving to 12 additional countries. PlayStation 5 had a huge news dump (both on stream and off), with pricing, release date, launch games, and much MUCH more!

Ryan returns with a tale of Paper Mario and the Wii U, his drop into Fall Guys, and reluctant (but hopeful) entry into Avengers post beta phase. In the news we chat about the leak and confirmation of the Xbox Series S from Microsoft, Nintendo's huge (and weird) celebration for the 35th anniversary of Super Mario, and Nintendo's surprise announcement of a Breath of the Wild prequel using the Hyrule Warriors gameplay style.

This week on TGI, Ryan is away so Joce is joined by friend of the show Jim! They talk about the newly released PC version of Horizon Zero Dawn, as well as backward compatibility questions that have been raised about the PS5, and wrap things up with games they were excited to see previewed at Gamescom.

We return with more thoughts on Frostpunk: On The Edge, the last DLC for one of our favourite games from 2018. Ryan converts a desktop game to mobile with Ancient Enemy and Steam Link, while also giving the Marvel Avengers beta another go. Moving into the news, we have an update on the Epic vs Apple case, plus all the fun Batman and DC video game announcements from DC Fandome.

Crofton and Ryan gather to bring you a special episode of Dungeons & Diapers! This time around, we're discussing Final Fantasy VII Remake with ALL the spoilers. What do we mean by ALL? Well, we discuss the remake, the original, and moments that aren't covered in the remake that could possibly pop up in Part II. I think we even talk about a PSP game.... We revisit Frostpunk for one of last times, with their newest DLC: On The Edge. Jocelyn tested out Dead by Daylight's new Cross-Play and it works great! Ryan decided to check out Ghost... I mean GoT... Ghost of Tsushima! In the news, we go over Epic's spat with Apple and Google with Fortnite being removed from their respective mobile stores (and Apple going a step forward in stating they will terminate Epic's Developer Account if not resolved to their TOS). We wrap it all up with Facebook requiring Facebook accounts to use Oculus going forward.

Our show this week kicks off with a quick look at our The Last of Us Part II special series, and how you can see these specials become more of a regular occurrence. On to the games, both Jocelyn and Ryan have been destroying all humans in Destroy All Humans. Next up, Jocelyn jumps into the weird and wacky Fall Guys. Finally, Ryan checked out the new Avengers beta which was a bit of mixed bag. In the news, it's a Microsoft heavy segment with Apple blocking xCloud from iOS, Halo Infinite being delayed, and the Xbox Series X confirmed to be launching in November.

In the first episode, Ryan and Jon discuss their highlights from the first segment of The Last of Us Part II where you control Ellie. This should go without saying, but beware of spoilers if you have not completed the game. We do spoil moments throughout the game in our discussions.

This week we have Crofton Steers jumping into the co-host chair with Ryan to discuss their adventures (past and present) in Ring Fit Adventure. Crofton has been enjoying Ghost of Tsushima on PlayStation 4. Plus Ryan continues his journey to Destroy All Humans, 15 years later. In the news, we chat a bit about Microsoft confirming Halo Infinite will have free to play multiplayer and xCloud getting an official release on September 15th. Spider-Man is ONCE AGAIN involved in an exclusivity controversy (Is this going to happen once a year? Well at least we have Hawkeye.) Finally, we close out news with a report from Jason Schreier about Blizzard employees organizing to seek pay increases.

Fresh off the Xbox Games Showcase from last week, we have some more to discuss when it comes to the recent showing and the Xbox One. Moving into games, Ryan has been playing Carrion which is a brand new reverse horror game on Xbox Game Pass. Also, both Ryan and Joce have had some time with Paper Mario: The Origami King. We close out the show with news that Netflix is developing a The Witcher prequel series!

Before we jump into the Xbox Games Showcase, Ryan gives some final thoughts on Desperados III after finishing the main campaign and taking a crack at a few of those Baron Challenges added to the game through a free update. E3 may not have happened in 2020, but thanks to Devolver Digital you can explore the abandoned halls of a faux E3 to discover trailers for their upcoming games in Devolverland Expo. As promised, Jocelyn returns to Civilization VI to check out the Red Death mode and had some fun streaming VS Mode. Ryan got his hands on Desperados III and has been having a lot of fun stealthing through the Old West. Getting creative thanks to their forgiving Quick Save/Quick Load system made for easy experimentation. Over in the news we go over the major announcements from Ubisoft Forward, Micorsoft will be launching xCloud in September, 2K thinks next generation games should be more expensive, Amazon wants to make a Fallout TV series with Westworld producers, and the LEGO NES is coming soon (and it's expensive).

Ryan and Jocelyn beat the heat by diving into the new Animal Crossing update.
