From 2012: R&B newcomer Allen Stone may describe himself as a 'hippie with soul,' but this son of a small town preacher man from the Northwest, didn't take long to discover that the gospel was deep inside him—and that soul music is colorblind. On his current non-stop tour, he brought his band by FUV to perform a few songs from his self-titled album, and to chat with host Claudia Marshall.

From 2009: With the release of the Derek Trucks Band album 'Already Free,' slide-guitar specialist Trucks continued his balancing act between the studio, the road, and home. From 2009: After the 'Young Folks' explosion, Peter Bjorn & John skipped the whistling and toned down the pop on the album 'Living Thing.' Even though it's a darker affair, the Swedish trio still brought the beats and catchy melodies, and you can hear acoustic versions of a couple of the songs from the guys' trip to FUV to talk with host Alisa Ali.

From 2011: He's got a shelf full of Juno Awards and fans galore in his native Canada, but Sam Roberts is still working hard making music, and hitting the road. One stop was FUV's Studio A, where Sam talked with host Alisa Ali about now being the Sam Roberts Band, and making the album 'Collider.'

From 2009: There are only two brothers in the North Carolina indie-folk group The Avett Brothers, Scott and Seth, but when one of the specialties of your sound is the three-part harmony it helps to have two other band members. When they played a gig at Terminal Five in 2009, FUV’s Alisa Ali was able to have a chat with them backstage as they toured to support their album, 'I and Love and You.'

From 2012: Rhythm abounds in all of the many layers of Antibalas, and after over a decade as a band, the Brooklyn-based Afrobeat orchestra is sounding as energized as ever. After releasing its self-titled album, the whole band squeezed into Studio A to perform live and to talk to host Claudia Marshall about weaving this batch of songs together.

From 2011: Drive-By Truckers barely took a break between albums, but they did make a little shift in sound to make 'Go-Go Boots.' The album features more Muscle Shoals in the mix, but in a session with FUV's Darren DeVivo, DBT's Mike Cooley and Patterson Hood shared acoustic versions of a few of the tunes.

From 2012: They earned a Grammy nomination for their country-inflected 2010 album 'Infinite Arms,' but South Carolina's Band of Horses isn't coasting. For their album 'Mirage Rock,' they tapped legendary classic rock producer Glyn Johns, and we had a chance to hear the results - acoustically - when Ben Bridwell and the guys stopped by Studio A to talk with host Darren DeVivo.

From 2010: Corinne Bailey Rae's self-titled debut album won her two Grammy awards, tons of critical acclaim, and commercial success. Four years later, Corinne's follow-up, 'The Sea,' came ashore and she dropped by Studio A where she told WFUV's Kara Manning that she wanted this new album to sound grittier.
