 What Should I Buy? - UGLY Cars | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:04:05

As you know we’ve asked many of our guests about the ”mythical 3 car garage” or ”cars they had as posters on their wall as a kid” or ”sexiest car of all time” - but we thought this time... let’s turn the conversation around, and see what’s the ugliest car we could recommend for someone else? ... and can’t wait to see what our panel came up with. In keeping with the tradition of What Should I Buy? - we have to set some ground rules, in this case we have to define: ugly. Our usual suspects are always the Aztek, Pacer, Edsel, Bricklin and even the HHR. But if you suspend disbelief for a moment, you could argue that there ARE ways to make those cars cool. But tonight we’re talking about an entire new caliber of UGLY, the designs where no amount of mods could make them better, cars with looks that only a momma could love. Follow along with the episode using the show notes: https://www.gtmotorsports.org/b-f-wsib-ugly-cars-edition/

GarageRiot: The Car Enthusiast Social Network (Donovan Lara) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:06:23

Everyone is looking for somewhere to belong. One of the main reasons for me that GTM was created was because we wanted to return that social aspect and sense of belonging back to track days. Utilizing social networking online is huge and a great way to stay connected to our groups. However, as much as the internet brings us closer together, it also tends to divide us into factions, and petrolheads and car enthusiasts are not exempt. We even get as granular as marque clubs, model-specific forums, and branded content and websites no one has ever heard of.  What if there was one corner of the net where there was no place for political rants, baby pictures or kitty memes? What if there was a place where obsessions run on petrol? Enter GarageRiot - The Car Enthusiast Social Network - where you’ll meet wrenchturners, master mechanics, tuners, traders and enthusiasts of all types. And with us tonight is Donovan Lara, GarageRiot’s CEO and Founder, to explain how it all works. This episode is part of our ROAD TO SUCCESS SERIES - inspiring stories that help shape the future of the autosphere. Check out GarageRiot today >> www.garageriot.com - and be sure to check the bonus ”Pit Stop” mini-sode on our Patreon

eSports & Virtual Racing w/ Jericho from Twitch! | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:24:46

Now, you might be asking yourself - what does a Motorsports group have to do with gaming? A lot, actually. And in 2020, because of COVID we saw a huge up-tick in virtual racing and eSports as an alternative to ”being at the track.” Everyone from IndyCar, IMSA and Formula One were ”competing online” using iRacing, and other platforms. And even pro-am groups like SCCA have moved into this realm, while GTM on a smaller scale has been hosting virtual racing leagues since 2016.  Gaming in many ways is a gateway into a sport - like racing - but can also be used as a training and conditioning tool. We’re going to be talking a lot about how ”hand/eye coordination” - ”developing speed/reflexes” - ”and esports safety” - plays into the world of Motorsports. And joining us for this episode of Break/Fix is a gaming expert, known on Twitch to many as “Jericho”, and now the host of Amazon Prime’s “Chasing the Crown” … is our guest Tucker Boner.

International Man of Mystery | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 35:07

He’s everywhere, but no where at the same time. GTM’s 2019 DE Champion, Judd G... international man of mystery. In this member profile episode, we catch the illusive ”carmen sandiego” of GTM - if only for a moment and get some insight into his Motorsports past.  (This episode is part of our Pit Stop sub-series).

 Virtual Racing for Lupus.org | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 23:27

GTM prides itself on being more than just a community of petrol-heads, we’re an extended family. And in keeping with our Fellowship philosophy, when a member is in need, we find a way to band together and help. That being said, we got some recent news about one of our members and a change in their family situation so we immediately went into action to find a way to help. In this special Pit Stop episode, we chat with Stacey Clark from the Lupus Foundation of America (lupus.org) to discuss Lupus, the Make Your Mark! Fundraising system and how they’re working with us on our upcoming Virtual Racing League for Lupus. Details on this event can be found here: https://www.gtmotorsports.org/vrl-for-charity/  -- DONATE TODAY: https://donate.tiltify.com/@grantouringmotorsports/gtm-vrl-for-lupus
