Celebrate teachers and a joy of reading with The Book Love Foundation Podcast. Host Penny Kittle and her guests help teachers develop a love of reading in their students. It is a show filled with information, inspiration, and book love. The show focuses on the value of reading in a student’s life when that child has access to books and skilled teachers who are committed to rich and rewarding reading lives for their students. The show helps teachers learn to foster a love of reading by using book choice and independent reading to help a student’s reading increase in volume, engagement, and complexity. Teachers will learn from Penny Kittle, past Book Love Foundation Award recipients, and Book Love Foundation friends like Donalyn Miller, Teri Lesesne, Kylene Beers, Tom Newkirk, and Kelly Gallagher and others as they share thinking and strategies around book love that they use in their own teaching. Conversations cover classroom topics like book choice, independent reading, access to books, conferring, teacher collaboration, classroom libraries, reading workshop, that help teachers put reading at the center of their teaching. The Book Love Foundation has one goal: to put books into the classrooms of teachers of teenagers. The Teacher Learning Sessions is honored to work on with Penny Kittle to help the foundation meet that goal.

Join Linda DeLuca, creator of the PresentationYOU system as she shares presentation secrets curated and created as part of her mission to eradicate bad (i.e. insignificant, unproductive, unmoving) presentations everywhere. You have something important to say. It may be for your business, your team, or your community. Linda is here to help you get that brilliance out of your head and into the world so you can make a difference. Many of these bits are helpful in preparing for a formal presentation and everyday conversations. Every time you share an idea – whether you are in the boardroom, web-room, or across the kitchen table, you are presenting. Presenting is communicating an idea. Presenting with impact means you get your idea across to your audience...and it somehow changes them. It changes them so much they take action. How about your presentations? Are you changing the world with your ideas? Each session covers one presentation secret of the masters. Just one thing. Everything from designing your slides, to how to use your voice. From in person to virtual presentations. From one-to-one presentations to presenting a keynote to hundreds. You are busy. A short conversation (bite sized) about one thing you can use right now is the best way to share with you information to help you become a more savvy communicator so you are more effective and influential in your life and business.
