The public assumes that the healthcare industry is set up to make them healthy, but, in Dr. William Davis’ opinion, it’s not working out that way. Doctors are under pressure to help keep patients well, but increasingly they’re running up against difficulties… difficulties that health coaches can help bridge. Dr. Davis, author of Wheat Belly and Undoctored, believes that health coaches are best poised to deliver health to patients.

Rachel teaches her clients to visualize their own actual healthy future, tapping into the feelings of being a healthy person.
What if your setbacks were really set-ups? Lauren Schwab has mastered the art of the wellness retreat, but it didn’t come on a silver platter. If you’ve ever dreamed of hosting or attending a wellness retreat, this episode is for you.

With health coaching, just as with any craft, there's a certain requirement for trial, error, and practice. That's a big part of what we talk about with veteran health coach, Michael Rutherford. Michael works alongside his father—also a health coach—to positively impact the long-term health of an unhealthy and underserved corner of the population: truck drivers!
In terms of preventing chronic diseases, there is almost no doubt that the modern health care industry continues to fall short. Dr. Bo Neichoy chose bariatrics as his medical speciality because he felt it was one of the most effective ways to bring true health to people who were desperate for it. At the Panhandle Weight Loss Clinic, they don’t view weight loss surgery as a “rescue mission;” instead Dr. Neichoy’s patients are taken on with preventative health in mind.
