Due to the confusion that abounds today, I think understanding Islamic terms will be very helpful. A lot of apologists are saying these terms mean something different from the official Islamic understanding. It is our hope that understanding these words will help you better understand Islam, and the problems we face in dealing with the issues involved. It is also our hope that this understanding will help you in your efforts to reach the Muslims God brings across your path for Christ. As you know, reaching Muslims for Christ is one of the major goals of our ministry here at Fortress of Faith.

Since the Trump administration has begun managing the war, we have seen a crumbling of this organization. Even though I am not sure we will see the end of everything with ISIS, but it is possible that the end is in sight. ISIS has spread itself over the world. It is in Europe, and there are many other groups that have pledged loyalty to the caliphate so there will still be some continuation is some degree. It does look like ISIS as we know it today may be near its end.
Today I want to look at some responses to those who defend Islam as a religion of peace. I marvel at how many so-called Christians are quick to run to the defense of of Islam
Today I want to reintroduce you to a young lady I first met her some time ago in Washington, DC. Her name is Julie Aftab. She is from Pakistan, and she has felt the full force of persecution against Christians. Not only did Muslims pour acid on her face, they poured down her throat. There have been other attempts by Muslims to kill her because of her Christian faith. Listen to her testimony below, it will be an encouragement and an inspiration to you.
I want to look more into the shooting in Las Vegas and make some things more clear. Our ministry mostly deals with Islam, so when we see a terrorist attack, naturally, because the majority of terrorist attacks have been in the name of Islam, we start looking in that direction.
You have no doubt heard about the shooting in Las Vegas. At the time of this writing there are 59 dead, and more than 500 injured, many by bullets, and some in their efforts to escape. This is just after the news about a terrorist attack in Toronto, and another in France.
Why do Muslims do what they do? Is this a perversion of the religion of Islam? Are these really the radicals? Are these the extremists? Is what they are doing contrary to the teachings of Muhammad? OR, are they being consistent with the teachings of the founder of Islam?
This week we have been discussing the subject of Islamophobia. This word is thrown around as if it was a settled issue. They act like everyone know what is being talked about when the word is used. We don't really know what it is about, except that it is used to try and shut up anyone who dares say anything Islam doesn't like about their ideology.
As we continue with our discussion on Islamophobia, let me remind you of the goal of Muslims when they use this term. Their purpose is to shut up all opposition to their ideology. They want to smear the opposition as if it had an irrational fear and some kind of mental illness just because they criticize Islam. They want to convince the uninformed that those who speak out against Islam are spreading hate. The hope is to intimidate the opposition so it won't have the courage to continue.
The term, Islamophobia, is used around the world, and where it seems to have the most strength is in the United Nations. About 15 Years ago, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) began forming a statement that would be approved by the Human Rights Counsel at the UN. Its purpose was to condemn discrimination against Islam. They were playing the victim card, claiming the Muslims were being unfairly discriminated against around the world. This is the picture that Muslims want to portray.
Why do we deal with Islam at Fortress of Faith? The reason is simple, historically every nation or people group that did not resist Islam was eventually subjugated by it. The Christians that were in Asia didn't fight against it, and as a result most of Asia is now Islamic. The largest Islamic nations are in this part of the world. The largest Islamic nation is Indonesia, followed by Pakistan, and India.
This week we have been sharing the testimony of Nabeel Qureshi, a young man who had converted from Islam to Christianity. He passed way last week at the young age of 34. We have learned how he was raised a devout Muslim, and was, in a sense, a missionary for Islam here in America.
We are continuing with the testimony of Nabeel Qureshi. He was a Muslim who converted to Christ and was greatly used of God in spreading the truth about Islam. We have heard about his struggle with leaving Islam. Today we will hear how he wrestled with the doctrines. There are three major issues that Muslims have a problem with. They have been taught that Jesus was just a man, that He didn't die on the cross, and that the Bible is corrupt.
Yesterday we started listening to some audio from Nabeel Qureshi. He was a Muslim who converted to Christianity and had become a preacher of the Gospel and warned of the dangers of Islam. He died at the young age of 34 last Friday. He also wrote a great book, “Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus,” which I highly recommend.
