In a ranking of states in the union—particularly regarding the response to COVID-19—New York is no doubt circling the bottom of the barrel. And at the bottom of that barrel is the rot and waste of an apple, the Big Apple, also known as New York City. Leading the race to the bottom is none other than Mayor Bill de Blasio and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. With the many opportunities to pander to causes they do not actually believe in, the politicians are taking down the rest of the citizens, turning New York City into one rotten apple.

President Donald Trump is being called a racist, so it must be another day that ends in “y.” This day’s accusation involved the Fourth of July celebrations, when, on July 3 in front of Mount Rushmore, President Trump gave a speech calling for unity, liberty, and safety. The speech, the president, the holiday, and Mount Rushmore are now all deemed racist. Yet, there was Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr., better known as Snoop Dogg, spending his holiday weekend putting onto Instagram an image he titled “The Coon Bunch.” The image featured photos of prominent black conservatives, particularly those who have spoken out on the issue of race in America and who have met and actually had something positive to say about President Trump. It is clear that somebody’s sippin’ on gin and juice.
