Daily Battle #27: Values, Priorities, and The Road Trip of Your Life | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 675

On today’s episode of the Daily Battle I want to talk to you about your values and priorities. We’ll also talk about the vehicle you are driving on the road trip of your life. What is this road trip of your life I am referring to? The road trip is your life’s path while the stops you take on your road trip are the things you are going to do and experience in your life. The people inside the car represent those on your journey with you. Your vehicle might be a bus with a lot of people. Although, you might just have an SUV with your immediate family. It depends on your values. The actual vehicle itself is what gets you down the road, which represents the way you earn money and support your life. The fuel in the vehicle is representation of your effort and energy you put forth. In this week’s episode:Takeaway #1: Own your timeUse your time and spend your time with people you love.Harmony is found when you align your values and priorities.Takeaway #2:Make yourself the number one priority in your lifeGet up and take care of yourself first thing. If you are the number one asset, you are the number on value. Takeaway #3: Your actions reflect your values and prioritiesBe the best driver of the vehicle of your life.If you don’t feel like something is going right, reflect on your values and priorities.

Daily Battle #26: Learning to Fly | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 558

I have been trying to figure out how to fly for many years. When I say fly I am meaning to live an extraordinary life. I have and had a good life and I am very appreciated and grateful for what I have been given. This isn’t to say my life hasn’t experienced pain, heart ace, disappointment, and failure. And I have done some shitty things over the years, I am human as we are all. I am not sure when the search began, where the deep seeded desire to be the best version of myself and to seek that person but somewhere inside of me there is this burning desire to win. For me winning is the measure of the man I have become. I define winning by be able to accomplish what I set out to accomplish, no matter how small. I remember when I was a kids, I convinced the neighbor to hire me to cut his grass. When it came to edging I was out there with pruning scissors on my hands and knees meticulously. Not the most efficient use of my time but I was wanting to produce the best edge possible. Producing the best job possible was about winning and about being the best. As I look back, I wonder where did the desire to win come from? Are we all born with it? Do you want to win? Have you given up on winning? I have been trying to figure out how to fly for many years. I have to and so many other people have as well and are crashing this point. My commitment is to learn to fly and it doesn’t matter how long or how much work it takes, I am going to learn to fly higher than I have ever flown.I am going to learn to soar. What I didn’t expect when I started out was how much crashing it would take for me to learn to fly. “If you want to live a happy life, tie it to a goal, not to people or things.” ~Albert Einstein~I’d have you consider the goals we set for ourselves force us to grow and become better and it’s one of the core ways we experience true happiness. On the other side, I’d have you reflect on the times you didn’t set goals or try to become better... did you feel joy and happiness?I mean did you walk, embody, and radiant happiness? Ya... you might of “good” aka a absence of pain and heightened happinesses. I’ve experienced putting and tying my happiness in other people or thing...It doesn’t last and it can be an empty place....Tying it to goals is tying it to yourself...You are your leader...and you decide what to participate in or not...
