We don't have to fall victim to our own world view or the world of our peers around us. Christ is a loving and intimate Father who wants to pour into us. Grace is impossibly separated from earning, but not separated from effort. We're called to diligence in our relationship with him, accomplished through grace. That relationship is the fostered by diligent time in his word.

Jesus gives us the authority to approach God like His child, truly a Father who loves us. We pray God's agenda, Our desires, His forgiveness, Our freedom in an attitude of dependence. "This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us - whatever we ask - we know that we have what we asked of him." 1 John 5:14-15

Today we live in a world which is spiritual impoverished, truly a world that is spiritually destitute. However the Bible is an abundance of knowledge that is breathed by God to be had by all, we only need to dig in and go deep.

How do we grow in our relationship with Christ? How do we deepen in our intimacy with the Lord? Defining what spiritual disciplines are not can be helpful in defining what they are. Covering the disciplines of abstinence and engagement and why and how we should practice them.

Factors which are indicative of an individuals that do well in marriage, outlined as five biblical principals to help form healthy relationships. Being ruthlessly committed to marriage and a resilience to lies which lead to bad marriages; remaining humble and considering yourself to be the largest problem. Whilst radically pursuing Christ and biblical community.

Don't stay on the porch of merit, come into the family, and come into the family to celebrate grace where the inheritance is found. Recognizing the unconditional love of our savior, and not begin being blinded by our own jealousy of others. "It was fitting to celebrate and be glad, for this your brother was dead, and is alive; he was lost, and is found." Luke 15:32

It can be difficult to recognize our own pain, or the pain of those that we're close to. Though ultimately we come to a place where we grow tired of leaning on my own understanding and being a slave to our feelings, reasoning and impulses. But because Christ forgave us, we can come to a place where we can reconcile and take responsibility for our sins and through His grace receive the courage to proactively work to restore what our sins have destroyed.

The primary casualty of every sin is relationship, however restoring a relationship with Christ can simply be asking Him to come back into your life, in spite of our disobedient and slanderous behavior. We have a God who is eager to reconcile, by expressing our disobedience to others we are able to experience relationships again. Left unattended these wounds fester, as time draws on we are only provoking the inevitable outburst that awaits as we sit upon an undetonated explosive.

We are a community of people who have been rescued from every kind of sin symptom imaginable, we have been recipients of His grace, and eagerly want to share His grace and love. But He doesn't just want you to escape some specific symptom, but to really know the source of the problem that is your alienation with God.

We are called to know well the condition of our flock. As Christians our job is to care for those that are here, through them as they're equipped and encouraged that others will be reached.

Love is Always Better than the Law

Too easily we become complacent, letting our priorities drift, however it is important that we identify when we've become complacent and get back to a vibrant faith through daily reading, reflecting and responding to God's Word.
