TIM, PHIL and DAVE say "That's all Folks!" Friends and neighbors: It's been an AMAZING run for our little radio show these past 6 1/2 years. Over the course of 275 live shows, we have been able to put together a little corner of great conversation on the AM radio dial that made us all proud. But all thing come to an end - and this Sunday night (July 7) will be the last episode of THE BIGGER PICTURE on AM870 the Answer here in Los Angeles and syndicated nationally courtesy of Salem Radio Network. We started the show in the early months of 2013 with a simple goal in mind - to put on the air every week a healthy sampling of the stories and insights and ideas that we thought would appeal to you - because quite frankly they appealed to us! Great guests, great callers and a overarching sense of inquisitiveness if what drove THE BIGGER PICTURE forward for 275 episodes. Although it goes without saying, I will of course say it - I couldn't (and wouldn't) have been able to either get the show started or keep it going without the loyalty and dedication of my two co-hosts, Phil Sparks and Dave Fisher. Their commitment to the show (and to me!) over our run is something I will always treasure... So pick up a phone and help us celebrate the end of our journey on AM870 the Answer here in Los Angeles. ALLAN J LICHTMAN (bestselling author) and MICHAEL HART (historian/radio host) Joining us on the show this week is our Special Guest - bestselling author, historian and Professor - Allan J. Lichtman! JASON STUART ("Kindergarten Cop" and "The Birth of a Nation") Joining us on the show this week is our Special Guest - actor and comedian - Jason Stuart! Born in the Bronx and raised in Los Angeles, Jason Stuart was a self-described insecure Jewish kid who turned to theatre and performing to mask his emerging sexual identity - he jokes about going to see Barbra Streisand in "Funny Girl" as a youth and falling in love with Omar Sharif. His talent and determination got him some early professional work in films like "Kindergarten Cop," "Vegas Vacation," and TV shows like "Murder, She Wrote" and "The Drew Carey Show." LARRY SCHWEIKART (author and documentarian) and EVE BRANDSTEIN (theatre director) Joining us on the show this week is our Special Guest - author, professor, screenwriter and producer - Larry Schweikart! Larry Schweikart, a native Arizonian, graduated from Arizona State University with a BA in Political Science, then went on the road with several different rock bands, opening for such 60s/70s acts as Steppenwolf. He abruptly decided he wanted to be a history professor, and received an MA from ASU in history, then a Ph.D. from University of California, Santa Barbara. SANDRO MONETTI (royal expert) and MARK BILTZ (author) Joining us on the show this week is our Special Guest - royal expert, author, producer and director - Sandro Monetti! Sandro Monetti is the goto royal expert for CNN Headline News, and a Trustee of the Queen's Royal Society of St George. The film stars Robert DeNiro as Frank "the Irishman" Sheeran and Al Pacino as Jimmy Hoffa, the Irishman's close associate and mentor. "The Irishman" is slated for release later this year, 2019.
